I couldn't find sorting by genre in the application (KEF LSX). When the app is in the background, the volume buttons cannot control the volume. When using Kef Stream and Jet Audio at the same time, Jet Audio cancels (I have to uninstall and install it). The application does not remember (wifi) the last volume setting. It takes a long time to load playlists when starting the app.

There’s no excuse for such a pedestrian app to be attached to such an impressive speaker. It ruins my experience and I listen less. I know that I can use Bluetooth but I don’t want to and I shouldn’t have to. Make this better please. I know you can. I believe in you. You can do much better than this.

I’ve had the KEF LS50 wireless speakers for several years. For the love of all that is holy…for $2000 speakers, one would think the 2 apps needed for this, it could work better. When moving or getting a new phone, or sometimes other random times, the apps need to reconnect to the speakers, which is an Earth vexing experience, typically taking many attempts over 2-3 hours. Most recently, it repeatedly failed with the speaker within 10 m unobstructed view of the router/modem. I would be embarrassed to sell the speakers, despite amazing sound, because of such the ordeal it is to try to get the speakers to connect, that is, to even do their job.

Die SW der KEF ist schlecht. Permanente Abbrüche und manchmal wird die Box auch nicht verbunden. Das Helpdek ist mehrwertfrei

Déplorable, rédhibitoire, inadmissible et affligeant : pas de Qobuz, pas de mqa, pas de Tidal Connect, aucune fluidité et une présentation digne des années 80 pour des enceintes à 2500€ ! Dans quel monde vivez-vous ? Dans un monde de mercantilisme sans vergogne, vulgaire et sans scrupule. De plus avec la sortie du modèle ls50wII seulement quelques années après les ls50w (ce qui démontre par ailleurs le caractère inabouti de ces dernières !) ; cela porte un nom : l’obsolescence programmée. La planète ne vous remercie pas et moi non plus.

It is shameful that in 2022 an app this unreliable is still the only means of connecting the LSX to Tidal, except via optical input which defeats the point of having wireless connectivity. I imagine many LSX owners would be grateful for an upgrade to the latest app used with LSX.

Buggée, inesthétique, que deux services de streaming (même pas Quobuz) franchement nul. 
J’aurais dû regarder la partie logicielle avant d’acheter les enceintes je serais parti chez la concurrence.

It never works well. The app loses connexion with the speakers all the time. I found a work around (connect the WIRELESS speakers via an internet cable to my router(see the irony), but the latest update forcesme to update my firmware!!!. So nothing works anymore. Needless to say I am not trusting that the firmware update will go smoothly because whatever kef does, there is always an issue with their app. I am now facing the chance that the update will goes to sh❤️t and brick my speakers… VERY DISAPPOINTED Kef, you should do better.

As we all know, the Control and Stream apps, up until about four months ago, were utterly worthless. Those of us wanting to stream Tidal had no other option (of which I am aware) than to pay for Roon. Finally, they got around to fixing the connectivity issues. But… the highest Tidal quality available using the Stream app remains HiFi. We need a Tidal Master option!

Title says it all, it’s literally the worst app I’ve ever used.  I’m not even going to do a rundown of all the issue because obviously nobody from KEF cares, but the biggest issue is that 99% of the tracks on my phone are greyed out and cannot be played in the app.  These are tracks physically stored on my device not in some cloud streaming service somewhere.

Ob Bluetooth oder Wlan … . Bei Bluetooth werden die Lautsprecher zwar kurz erkannt, dann aber wieder rausgeschmissen.

Trovo incomprensibile il fatto che un brand di questo prestigio lasci marcire un’app gia nata male, facendo restare in panne gente che ha speso 2400 euro per una coppia di casse. Lo streaming da Tidal è talmente buggy che fate prima a cantarvi i pezzi da soli.

Not sure what the issue has been for other reviewers. Perhaps all the bugs have been ironed out? Anyway, the app works perfectly for me. I use the app linked to my Tidal account and it works and sounds perfect. It’s pretty cool how the music keeps playing even after I close the app - it must be streaming direct to the speakers. I’m using the app with my little Kef LSX.

I was a Tidal user and desperately wanted to continue using it with the wonderful KEF speakers, but it simply is not functional — keeps dropping out, always skips tracks, etc. I’d like to think that I can hear the difference between Tidal and Spotify, although haven’t properly tested myself, but the one thing I’m sure of is the difference between music playing and music not playing. Unfortunately, KEF + Tidal = music not playing.  Hence what I presume was meant to be a great partnership between Tidal and KEF has resulted in a bunch of others and I jumping ship and switching to Spotify. This probably doesn’t impact KEF so much, but if I were an executive at Tidal, I’d make darn sure it was fixed quickly, or I’d drop the partnership. It can’t be good for business. Sure ain’t good for listening to music.

Great update, much more usable.
I'm finally able to disconnect all other accessories and computer and use solely the app. Works really well. 
Since the app speaker firmware update I can get better sound also.
