### 3/5 — Indispensable, but room for improvement.

*2025-07-07, version 2.3*

I have been using this app every day for many years, and I could not imagine life without it. However, there are several issues with the customer interface that could use improvement that I hope the developers will address.

One problem is the constant glitches in navigation. Sometimes I open up and find just a blank screen. Or,I can select a saved location, but it will take me somewhere else entirely.
The buttons that are supposed to move forward or backward to the beginning of a perek often miss their mark. The dots at the bottom of the page that show how many mishnayos have passed in the perek and how many remain are a good idea. Except when they get it wrong.

The app has had issues with font size since the very beginning. In May of 2025 they attempted a fix that actually made it worse, but they corrected that. Still, it seems that the size of the English font is out of sync with the size of the Hebrew font. It takes three screens of English to translate two screens of Hebrew. In an ordinary translated siddur, which is very comfortable to use, it’s a one to one ratio. The button that adjusts font size only works in one direction. So you have to cycle all the way to the largest font before you can return to a smaller font, sort of like a shabbos elevator.

The print version of Kahati has many illustrations that are key to understanding the text. The app has never figured out a way to incorporate them.

Lastly, the app does not respond to rotation of an iPhone or an iPad. So I can only read the Mishna holding my device in an upright, portrait position, but I cannot place my device down in a sideways landscape position and read it like that.

Kehati is the most significant contribution to the learning of the Mishnah in more than a century, and I am so grateful that the publishers and the developers made this available on portable electronic devices. overall, this app is indispensable. But there is still plenty of room for improvement.

### 4/5 — Unable to adjust font size

*2025-05-08, version 2.1*

I’ve been very happy with this app for years, so am distressed that the recently released update removed the ability to adjust the font size. It is now too small to comfortably read on my iPhone

### 5/5 — Thank you!!!

*2025-05-07, version 2.1*

Thank you thank you thank you for fixing it for IOS 18.3!! My life hasn’t been the same without it

EDIT: The interface doesn’t seem to be as neat and clean as it used to (it might just be the new font, and the fact that the font size is no longer adjustable). Also there seems to be a bug that doesn’t allow the app to open to the most recent Mishnah.

Besides for that, it’s a wonderful app, and in fact the bold lettering in the English commentary makes it much easier to use.

Yasher koach!!

### 3/5 — Was great but new version has bugs

*2025-05-07*

I have been using this for Mishna Yomit for years. The update in 2025 (version 2.1) removed the ability to change font size. Now all of the text is small and difficult to scroll. Can this please be fixed?

### 3/5 — No longer works with latest versions of iOS

*2025-05-04, version 2.1*

I used to use this as my go-to mishnayos app. Wasn't perfect but was very good. Unfortunately it stopped working when iOS was upgraded and hasn't worked since. No support available.

Update May 2025: Seems to be fixed, so it can be used again.

App can use the following enhancements:
1. Bookmarks
2. Settings (font, size, bi-lingual or Hebrew only, etc.)
3. Select chapters by first letter.
4. Study plans.

### 3/5 — Font size adjustment

*2025-04-29, version 2.1*

This is a great app that gives full Kehati access in an app.
The just released version removed the ability to adjust the font size which is unfortunate.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unusable due to Font Size

*2025-06-04*

Possibly due to the recent IOS update, the Hebrew font size is now huge - and cannot seem to be modified (either within the app or with IOS).
How disappointing. It always used to be great app for learning. Hopefully this problem can fixed.

**Developer response:** The font is now adjustable on the new version

### 1/5 — fix app!

### 1/5 — Crashes under iOS 17.1

*2023-11-29, version 1.1*

Please fix! Does not run under iOS 17.1.
Do you need to upgrade to a 64 bit version?

### 1/5 — Bad app

*2023-08-08, version 1.1*

No update since 5 years
Dont work on iOS

### 1/5 — Buggy and Hebrew nly

*2022-03-20, version 1.1*

Clicking on English get me the cover page in English but table of contents remains in Hebrew. Clicking on any tractate goes to a page informing me there are bugs and try a different masechet. Totally useless.

### 1/5 — Help! Was Great until yesterday (24 Nov 2020) when I updated to Ipad IOS 14.2

*2020-11-25, version 1.1*

Crashes every time I try to open it since I did the iPadOS 14.2 update.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2020-06-24, version 1.1*

It doesn’t work

### 2/5 — The fix made it unusable

*2025-05-19*

I have been learning Mishnah with this app daily for many years. One glitch that needed fixing was the minuscule font used for the English translation of the mishnah itself. This didn’t affect me much because I learn in Hebrew. At the beginning of May, 2025 I found that the Hebrew text on my iPhone had become too small for me to read, and the text on my iPad was so big that would only be acceptable to the visually impaired. (The English was much better, though.)I looked for the font size button on the toolbar; it had disappeared. Nor can I adjust the size from the settings menu. Rebooting or reloading did not solve the problem. I count on this app. I really hope they can make this usable again.

**Developer response:** The font size is now adjustable again. Please try it out

### 5/5 — 3.0 update

*2026-06-11, version 3.0.1*

New font update is great. Makes it more readable

### 5/5 — Hate update

*2026-06-01, version 3.0*

I have been using Kehati for a long time and love the app. The update has a really poor and hard to use interface. This update has made my experience very unpleasant. Please revert.

Update:
Gotten used to some things and the new update definitely improved on the reading availing. However, user interface is not as easy and there Chazara part is a good idea but no way to reset if misclick. In addition, no longer options for corrections.

### 5/5 — Mishna direction

*2026-03-25, version 3.0*

Love the app. Extremely useful,
Dear app creator; I noticed a change a few days ago that the direction of going from one mishna to the next is from left to right , used to be from right to left , can I request to please return it to the original way of right to left

Thank you again for the amazing app!

Tizkeh lemitzvos!

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2025-09-29, version 2.3*

This is exactly what I was looking for. Mishnayos kehati. With English!

### 5/5 — Updated Version is Great

*2025-06-26, version 2.3*

The Kehati app has always been very helpful for both my learning and review. I use it as a part of my Daf Yomi learning to help remember as much of Shas as possible, as well as key in on the most important material.
A great help for learning Mishnayos, Gemara, and improving one’s skills.

### 5/5 — Bold

*2025-06-24, version 2.3*

Hi, can you please bold the headings in the bartenura and kehati in the Hebrew section. It used to be bolded and it makes it so much easier to keep track and to learn from. I use this app on a daily basis and it’s so helpful and I love it! But with the recent update it’s become hard to use

### 5/5 — Great!

This app is amazing. I use while exercising on my machine. However the new update removed the font size changing option which makes it obsolete for putting on my machine. May you please fix this? Thanks for everything.

EDIT: developer reached out right away and said he’ll fix it on the next update. מי כעמך ישראל!

**Developer response:** Thanks you for learning and using the app.
As lot of people requested that,we will restore this feature on the next release.
