I’ve been a Keka user for years on the Mac and am very pleased with it from the first use.  With this app that I have purchased, I find a glaring omission; the inability to name the archive of multiple files before compression is extremely inconvenient. Having to find and rename an archive is an absolute pain and unnecessary step. Hope you get a chance to sort this. It’ll make it a five star experience.

If you search for archiver apps on the App Store, all the results are apps last updated in 2015 that are filled with ads and 30 dollar a week subscriptions, and barely have actual Files integration. 

Keka on the other hand has a flat price, full Files support, no ads, not an Android 3.0 UI, and also yeah it can archive and extract anything with no issue. I’m so happy I finally found this app.

I've always lamented that iOS and macOS dont have the great utility apps macOS has always had, yet this perfect archive app doesnt even appear when you search for file archivers on the App Store.  

This has all the right formats, its easy and effortless to use yet you can get really detailed and nerdy if you need to, it'll automatically open archives from Files AND it supports Shortcuts.  Perfect, no notes, chefs kiss 👌

I use KEKA on Macbook for years everyday, that is the best free software, and never happened with bugs. Clearly easily and usefully also on ios devices,thanks a lot for developer :  )

I have used the Mac version for many years and added the iPad version a couple of years ago. I use “.7z” encrypted files for sensitive stuff stored in “the clouds”. It’s very good, allows me feel a little safer, the developer seems very good at responding to issues or problems (not that I’ve had any myself)… Thoroughly recommended!

I absolutely love Keka. The fact that it’s a one-time purchase (or can even be used for free) makes it an easy choice in a world full of subscriptions.

I mainly use it for encrypting ZIP files, and it handles that flawlessly. On top of that, I really appreciate the wide range of archive formats it supports—it’s incredibly versatile.

I use Keka on both macOS and iPadOS, and it works smoothly on both platforms with no issues at all. It’s clean, reliable, and does exactly what I need without unnecessary complexity.

Highly recommend it to anyone who works with compressed files or values strong encryption in a simple package.

You currently can’t compress multiple folders at once

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review! It is possible to compress multiple folders at one, just note the plus (+) button to add more sources moves to the toolbar once you've already added once.

Most probably the placement of the button should be reconsidered so it is more clear at any moment.

Hab ich für iPhone, iPad und Mac. Die erzeugten (Kompression und verschlüsselt AES) können auch unter Windows und Linux mit freeware decrypted und entpackt werden ! Kein schnickschnack, klar, übersichtlich funzt !!

Windowsの標準機能で解凍しても文字化けしないことを期待しましたが、残念ながらうまく機能しませんでした。

Bought to open a subtitle rar file and only get extraction failed error. Wasted money and will request refund thru Apple’s refund page. Disappointed.

I was introduced to ‘keka’ and paid for it. I tried to compress photos and videos, I selected 635 files, but the compression did not work. So, even though I tried selecting 100 files each, it didn't work. I am an iPhone 15 Pro user and iOS 17.3.3 version user. What should I do?

Keka looks nice but was unable to decompress a 500mb BZIP2 file from local storage to a USB drive that other (free) apps handled with no sweat. Disappointing for the cost.

Die App gefällt mir gut. Was mit leider gar nicht gefällt, ist die Übersetzung ins deutsche. Die war schon in den App Store Screenshots schlecht (Überschriften), in der App wurde leider auch nur von Google übersetzt.

So glad to have discovered Keka for iOS. Having used the OSX version for almost a decade now, it's great to have a powerful, fast archiving tool that handles different formats. No clutter, and fully accessible with VoiceOver screen reader. Great work!

I’ve used Keka for a while now on MacOS after swapping through many others that just didn’t have the features I needed or were very clunky to use. (Peazip, Archive Utility, The Unarchiver, Stuffit) When I needed a archiver on iOS I want through many, but they were all subpar for what I needed or were littered with ads or subscriptions. This one time cost app, works perfectly, has no ads and now I use this Program on all my Apple devices.

I’ve had this app for 5 minutes and i’m already pleased with my purchase. So much better than these clunky ad-laden apps that import unrared files into their own folder, requiring me to then “share” them back to the original folder containing the rar files. that might sound confusing, but if you’ve used those apps you know what i mean. 

Keka is intuitive, simple acts elegant. Like something that works have been designed by Apple circa 2010. Worth $4 all day long.

Just a few problems I’ve been having and I’m not sure if it’s Keka or iOS but when trying to resume or let something go into the background to finish instantly results in it failing.

Being a software developer, I can say this app is designed perfectly for everyday usage. Very beautiful, convenient and unbelievable price/quality ratio.
I should say developers, who make apps like that, must be designing new iOS features, not that “clever” guys whose annual updates are complete useless waste of phone memory and performance.
