## What is Keld AI Health Patterns?

Keld began as a personal weather service for your body. It became something no one has built before: a living atlas of you.

Keld reads your health signals — HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, workouts and recovery, from Apple Watch and anything else that feeds Apple Health — and fuses them with the world you live in: weather, air quality, pollen, sunlight, the moon, the places you go. Then it hunts for the patterns where your body and your world move together.

KNOW YOUR USUAL
Bounds learns what is normal for you in each part of your day — your evenings are not your nights — and shows when a signal like your HRV has left that range, which way, and for how long. One odd reading stays quiet; a run of them is recorded. Keld never calls a reading good or bad: it tells you how far from your own usual you are.

YOUR DAY ON ONE PAGE
Pulse opens on a grid of tiles you arrange yourself: workouts, streak and goals, the next 24 hours of weather, what Keld sees coming, tonight's sky, your usual places, and how your record compares.

BUILT FOR YOUR TRAINING
Every workout gets its own history, led by the stats that session recorded — distance, strokes, pace, heart rate, elevation, energy. Set goals per activity and watch them fill.

YOUR FIELD GUIDE
Every proven pattern becomes an Elemental — it earns a name, engraved artwork, and for strong patterns a living creature. Your heart running with the air pressure. Your sleep moving with the daylight. Each is sorted honestly by strength — Beacon, Signal, Pattern, Whisper, Noise — and your collection is unlike anyone else's. When Elementals rise and fall together, Keld groups them into Nodes.

ASK AI ABOUT YOUR OWN DATA
Ask in your own words. Keld answers from what it has measured about you, with charts, and says so plainly when your record cannot answer.

THE KELD LIBRARY
Your whole guide as one dated volume, story pages for every signal and Elemental, your questions and answers, and how things changed over time. Read them in the app or save them as a PDF.

THE ATLAS AND THE METRIC INDEX
Your places, routes and signals drawn as maps. Browse every measurement Keld watches — 150+ body signals plus weather, air, sun, moon, space weather and your places — each with its own card and charts.

FORECASTS THAT EARN YOUR TRUST
Keld measures how far ahead each of your signals can honestly be forecast, forecasts only that far, and shows the track record behind every prediction. Forecasts need location access set to Always.

SAGAS, FILMS AND CARDS
Narrated films built from your real data and picture cards you can share from any screen.

YOUR VOICE
Rate your patterns for importance and fascination — anonymously helping everyone find what matters — and see how many people share each one in the Census.

HONEST BY DESIGN
Every number says exactly what it is. Weak evidence is labeled weak. Keld describes what was observed in your own data — never claims about cause.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
All pattern-finding runs on your device. No raw biometric data of yours is shared by us to anybody. Your Field Guide backs up to your own private iCloud. Signing in with Apple is optional.

YOUR FREE MONTH AND KELD+
Your first 30 days include everything, with an allowance of AI stories and questions. After day 30 Keld pauses: it stops reading new data and stops learning. Nothing is deleted and you can still export everything. Subscribing resumes where it left off. Keld+ keeps Keld learning and lifts the limits on AI stories: $9.99/month or $99.99/year, with a 7-day free trial from Apple (auto-renewing, cancel anytime in Settings).

Keld is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or predict medical conditions.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.2.3 — 2026-10-07

Keld 2.2.3 learns what is usual for you, and tells you when you leave it.

BOUNDS - A NEW PANE ON EVERY SIGNAL

- Keld now works out what is usual for each signal in each part of your day, separately. Your evenings and your nights are different places, and one number for the whole day would call an ordinary evening unusual.
- Open any signal and swipe to Bounds: where you are now against your usual, the real spread of your own days, and a grid of the last few days showing which parts of each day were outside your usual, and which way.
- A single odd reading stays quiet. Two or more in a row is a run, and runs are recorded: when it started, which way, how long, and whether it has come back.
- Keld never calls a reading good or bad. It says how far from your own usual you were.
- On an Elemental, Bounds watches whether the pairing is still holding - whether one signal landed where the other suggests - and records the stretches where it did not.

FORECASTS THAT KNOW HOW FAR THEY CAN SEE

- Every signal now earns its own forecast distance. Some hold for days, some for minutes, and Keld will not forecast further ahead than your data supports.
- A forecast that cannot beat simply knowing your usual range no longer pretends to be one. Keld shows your usual range instead and says so.

FILMS

- Bounds is in the films. The video you save is now the same film you watch, including the Places, Census and closing scenes, and saved captions keep their words to the very end.

FASTER AND LIGHTER

- Every pane of a signal or Elemental loads the moment you open it, not when you swipe to it.
- Keld takes up far less room on your phone. It was keeping old weather forecasts and calculations no screen uses; they are gone, and the space comes back on its own the first time your phone charges with Keld closed.

FIXES

- A card could claim a device recorded a signal it has no sensor for. It now says only what Keld can know: which device saved the reading.

### 2.2.2 — 2026-09-26

Keld 2.2.2 is a stability release. It is about the app surviving the work it does, and cleaning up after itself.

MEMORY

- Fixed the reason iOS could shut Keld down while it was building a Library volume. Saved Library pictures were being written far larger than intended: an image meant to be capped at 900 pixels across was being stored at 2,700. The step that was supposed to shrink them was making them bigger.
- The first time you open the Library after updating, Keld rebuilds its stored chapters once. Those saved before this update were written at the wrong size and cannot shrink on their own. It happens once.
- Analysis now steps aside while you are building a volume in the foreground, rather than both running flat out on the same phone at the same time.

STORAGE

- Keld now clears away the export files it leaves behind after you share a video, image or PDF. These were never being cleaned up and could build to hundreds of megabytes over time.
- Library chapters saved by earlier versions are now removed instead of being left on the device.

OVERNIGHT WORK

- Fixed four places where iOS could stop Keld's overnight analysis partway through and leave it unable to pick up where it left off.

### 2.2.1 — 2026-09-21

Keld 2.2.1 is a fix release. Most of it is speed and honesty rather than new screens.

SPEED

- Fixed the big one: on some phones Keld could hold the processor for long stretches while working through your history, leaving the phone warm and slow. Assembling a day's readings was rebuilding a date formatter for every single reading. It is now roughly 340 times faster.
- The Keld Library no longer runs out of memory on large collections. Artwork is drawn at the size it is shown instead of at full resolution, and a volume is now built in chapters so anything that has not changed since last time is reused rather than redrawn.

THE CENSUS

- The Census page now opens from the menu wheel as well as from its Pulse tile. It was reachable only from the tile before.
- Census figures come from the same place Pulse reads, so the two can no longer disagree, and a failed refresh keeps the last good answer instead of blanking the page.

ASK KELD

- Ask Keld now understands Apple Health's own names for things. Asking about "Cardio Fitness" finds your VO2 max.
- Keld quietly assembles a summary of your record once a day, so Ask Keld can answer about your own history without you opening the Library first.

SHARING

- The link ring and the Ahead arc now appear in the video you share from an Elemental, and in the still images saved alongside it.

HONESTY

- A subscriber can no longer be told they are in a free month.
- Where Keld says how much evidence is behind a pattern, it now states the unit it actually measured. Most patterns are counted in days and say so; patterns that follow the moon or the seasons are counted in longer stretches and now say that instead of calling them days.
- Keld tells you how far back the evidence goes, so a pattern's own age and the history behind it can no longer read as a contradiction.

### 2.2.0 — 2026-09-20

Keld 2.2 is the biggest update since Keld 2.0.

A NEW PULSE PAGE

- Pulse is now a grid of tiles you arrange yourself. Every dial and graph on a tile opens its own page.
- New tiles: Activities (your latest workout, day streak and goals as three rings), a 24-hour weather dial, Ahead (where a signal is about to turn), Cairn (how you move through your day), Field Guide, Census, The Sky, the Keld Library, Kanna, Ask Keld and Notifications.
- Pulse no longer opens empty. Each tile shows what it last knew while it refreshes, with a small dot and time underneath: green is fresh, yellow is from the last day, red is older.
- Official weather warnings appear on the weather tile, in the issuing authority's own words.
- On iPad, tiles fill two columns with no gaps.

ASK KELD

- Ask a question about your own record in your own words. Keld answers with charts from what it has measured, can read the answer aloud, and says so when your data cannot answer.
- Place names are replaced with placeholders before anything is sent.
- Every answer is kept in your Library.

THE KELD LIBRARY

- Six tomes: Compendium, Field Guide, Metric Folio, Enquiries, Almanac and Saga.
- Every signal and Elemental has a story page you can read, share as an image, or save as a dated PDF.
- Export your Field Guide report, or all your readings as a CSV file.

NODES

- A Node is three or more Elementals that rise and fall together. Find them in the new Node Guide on the menu wheel, each with its own panes and share card.

FIELD GUIDE

- Every Elemental starts with archetype artwork and a short code until its name is approved.
- Patterns that could not mean anything were retired: two measures of the same thing, patterns built only from the sky, and patterns tied to a single place. Where a signal happens is still shown on each Places pane.
- Keld now also looks for patterns across consecutive days and gaps of up to three weeks.
- Whisper and Noise each open a searchable page.

FORECASTS

- Forecasts now need location access set to Always. At any other setting Keld makes none and tells you why, including in the widget and Siri.
- A forecast's band reflects Keld's measured error, and workout forecasts are now scored.
- An Ahead arc leads the Vision pane and names the turn it sees.

NOTIFICATIONS

- Keld can tell you about forecast turns, sky events, weather alerts, heat or poor air ahead, Nodes, workout streaks and goals, new features, your free month, Elementals named or retired, and Recalculate All finishing.
- Every notification opens the page it is about.
- A new Notifications page holds your history and your settings, with what can buzz grouped by kind.
- Keld no longer notifies you about Whisper or Noise Elementals.

YOUR FREE MONTH

- Your 30 free days include everything, with 60 AI stories and 30 questions to spend however you like. Sharing images is unlimited.
- The clock is kept on our side, so reinstalling or adding a device does not restart it.
- Kanna shows your days left, what you have made, and parts of Keld you have not tried yet.

ACCOUNTS AND PRIVACY

- Sign in with Apple now links your devices. Audio and video stories need you signed in.
- Sample data is always labelled, retires at your first real reading, and is never counted in community numbers.
- Community averages need at least four people.

ACCURACY AND SPEED

- Location readings now carry their accuracy, and rough ones are left out of places and distances.
- Moon positions use a precise ephemeris.
- Analysis runs in short saved steps and picks up where it left off, with its progress shown on Pulse.
- Pulse opens faster and no longer waits on the network.
- Keld no longer keeps a second copy of its database, saving about 1 GB on large libraries.

### 2.1.5 — 2026-08-04

STORAGE AND SYNC

- If your iCloud storage is full, Keld now tells you plainly instead of promising a retry that cannot happen, and reminds you once a day until there is room.
- Sync can now be turned off, and stays off.

IPAD

- Spoken readings and films no longer lose their opening words. Every beat now starts on its first word, with no tone in front of it.
- Swiping in from the left edge to go back works after you rotate the iPad, in both orientations, and after any number of rotations.

ACCURACY AND CLARITY

- Your data ledger now groups entries by your own day rather than by UTC, so a late-evening reading lands on the day you had it.
- Setup no longer implies Keld needs an Apple Watch. Keld reads whatever already writes into Apple Health, and now says so, along with a clearer explanation of how your devices stay in step.

RELIABILITY

- A small number of people have had Keld freeze on them. Keld now records which screen you were on when something goes wrong, so we can find the cause instead of guessing. It records a screen name and nothing else.
