## What is Keld Wellspring?

Keld began as a personal weather service for your body. It became something no one has built before: a living atlas of you.

Keld reads your health signals — from Apple Watch and anything else that feeds Apple Health — and fuses them with the world you actually live in: your weather, air quality, pollen, sunlight, the moon, the places you go. Then it hunts for the patterns where your body and your world move together. When it finds one your own data can prove, something remarkable happens.

BUILT FOR YOUR TRAINING
Every workout gets its own history, led by the stat that actually matters for it — distance for a run, strokes for a swim, time, pace, heart rate, elevation, energy. Scroll this week, this month, or everything you have ever logged, and tap any session for its full detail. Set goals per activity and watch them fill. Your latest workout leads the Pulse page, beside what is coming: the next stretch of weather, your strongest forecasts for it, tonight's sky, and your usual places.

YOUR FIELD GUIDE
Every proven pattern becomes an Elemental — it earns a name, engraved artwork, and for strong patterns a living creature whose nature mirrors yours. Your heart running with the air pressure. Your sleep moving with the daylight. Your energy tied to a place you love. Each is sorted honestly by strength — Beacon, Signal, Pattern, Whisper, Noise — and your collection is unlike anyone else's on Earth, because it was discovered in your life.

THE ATLAS
Your signals and Elementals drawn as living circuit maps — one for every family, plus a World Map of everything you have built. Open any Elemental to see which maps it lives on, and travel straight there.

THE METRIC INDEX
Browse every measurement Keld watches — 150+ body signals plus weather, air, sun, moon, space weather, and your places — organized by family: Fitness, Heart, Breath, Rest, Body, Mind, Nutrition, and more. Each signal gets its own specimen card, live reading, charts, forecasts, story, and a day-by-day ledger of every reading it has ever taken.

FORECASTS THAT EARN YOUR TRUST
Keld forecasts your signals only where it has proven skill — and shows you the measured track record behind every prediction. Blank until earned, never invented.

SAGAS, FILMS, AND CARDS
Every pattern tells its story: narrated Saga films built from your real data, pages read aloud, and beautiful picture cards you can share from any screen.

YOUR VOICE
Vote your patterns up or down — shaping your own guide, and anonymously helping everyone's. See how rare each one is across everyone using Keld. Name your places. Keep field notes in your Journal. Keld is yours to curate.

TERRITORY
Keld learns your places — home marked in gold, your daily rhythm, and how your signals live differently across the places you return to.

HONEST BY DESIGN
Every number says exactly what it is. Weak evidence is labeled weak. Sources are credited. Anything unclear explains itself with a tap. Keld describes what was observed in your own data — never invented claims about cause.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
All pattern-finding runs on your device. No raw biometric data of yours is shared by us to anybody. Your Field Guide backs up to your own private iCloud, so it survives a new phone or a fresh install — no account, and nothing we can see.

KELD+
The free tier is real and useful. Keld+ unlocks your full Field Guide, complete forecasts and evidence, full history, and unlimited films — $9.99/month or $99.99/year with a 7-day free trial (auto-renewing, cancel anytime in Settings).

Keld is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or predict medical conditions.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.1.5 — 2026-08-04

STORAGE AND SYNC

- If your iCloud storage is full, Keld now tells you plainly instead of promising a retry that cannot happen, and reminds you once a day until there is room.
- Sync can now be turned off, and stays off.

IPAD

- Spoken readings and films no longer lose their opening words. Every beat now starts on its first word, with no tone in front of it.
- Swiping in from the left edge to go back works after you rotate the iPad, in both orientations, and after any number of rotations.

ACCURACY AND CLARITY

- Your data ledger now groups entries by your own day rather than by UTC, so a late-evening reading lands on the day you had it.
- Setup no longer implies Keld needs an Apple Watch. Keld reads whatever already writes into Apple Health, and now says so, along with a clearer explanation of how your devices stay in step.

RELIABILITY

- A small number of people have had Keld freeze on them. Keld now records which screen you were on when something goes wrong, so we can find the cause instead of guessing. It records a screen name and nothing else.

### 2.1.3 — 2026-07-30

ACTIVITIES GET THEIR OWN PLACE

The things you do now have their own tab. Every workout is grouped by what actually does the work — Activities on Foot, on Water, on Ice, on Snow, on Rock, on Wheels, in Studio, in the Wild, plus Strength, Game, Combat and Social — and each group keeps its own artwork, history and session count. Open one you use constantly, or one you have never touched: groups with no data are still listed, honestly empty, so you can see what is there.

INDOOR OR OUTDOOR, AT LAST

Your watch has always recorded whether a session happened indoors. Keld never read it back until now. Each session in Activity History shows the group it belongs to and, when your watch actually recorded it, Indoor or Outdoor. A session with no label means the flag was genuinely missing — Keld would rather say nothing than guess.

Curling and diving sessions are filed correctly again, including the ones already sitting in your history.

TWO KINDS OF CONNECTION, KEPT APART

Your maps now draw two different claims and label which is which. A coloured trace between two signals means a pattern: the math found something and it earned its place. A blue wire means the two signals were simply recorded together in the same session — a fact about your records, not a finding about your body.

This matters most for activities, which are almost never "patterns" in the statistical sense. Before this, a page could tell you a workout had no connections at all while your watch had recorded a heart rate right beside it. Now it tells you the truth about both.

And an empty map says it is empty. If you have never done anything on ice, the Ice board is blank instead of showing you unrelated creatures dressed up as ice patterns.

MAPS THAT USE THE WHOLE SCREEN

Every circuit board now takes its shape from your actual screen instead of a fixed canvas — noticeably larger on iPhone, and roughly double the size on an iPad in landscape. Names under each chip are legible, wires no longer cross them, and every label is finally drawn in the typeface it was designed in. The Atlas opens as a table of contents, with the World Map living inside it as the circuit map it always was.

FILMS

Saga films render at full 1080p, and you choose whether to watch now or save. Maps inside a film are laid out edge to edge with no overlapping nodes, routes bend cleanly instead of running under cards, and the narration speaks the real names of your signals. When Keld genuinely knows which device measured a reading, the film can say so.

Routes from your outdoor workouts are drawn on the workout itself.

A PULSE THAT IS YOURS

Drag the Pulse panels into whatever order suits you; that arrangement is what you get from then on. Cards no longer flip or advance by themselves unless you turn that on. The Saga film panel has moved off Pulse, and the Coming Up cards no longer clip their text mid-word.

THE CODEX IS FINISHED

Keld's in-app guide now covers the whole app end to end and keeps itself current — including a plain-language account of the two kinds of connection, and of what Keld will and will not claim about you.

SMALLER THINGS

Your day is split at your own local midnight rather than a point that drifted through the year. The Fitness family no longer lists the same group twice. Place and elevation now sit together under Territory.

### 2.1.1 — 2026-07-24

Keld 2.1 is the biggest release since the rebuild — and it leans hardest into training.

YOUR WORKOUTS, IN FULL
Every workout type now keeps its own history. Open Running, Swimming, Walking, anything you log, and scroll session by session — each row led by the stat that actually matters for that activity: distance for a run, strokes for a swim, plus time, pace, heart rate, elevation and energy. Tap any session to open it in full. Switch between This Week, This Month and All Time so a year of training collapses to the stretch you care about.

GOALS
Set a target for any activity and watch it fill. Your goals ride the Pulse page next to your latest workout, so the first thing you see is where you stand today.

THE DATA LEDGER
Every signal Keld watches now shows its own ledger — day by day, everything it has recorded. A busy signal like heart rate shows each day's average and its low-to-high range; a daily total like steps or energy shows the day's total; and a day with no data simply has no row, because Keld never invents one. Same This Week / This Month / All Time controls throughout.

THE ATLAS
Your signals and Elementals are now drawn as living circuit maps — one for every family, plus a World Map of everything you have built. Open any Elemental and it tells you which maps it lives on, with its emblem, and takes you straight there.

THE CENSUS
See how rare each of your patterns is across everyone using Keld — where yours falls in the distribution, how many others share it, and how it maps against what people find most important and most fascinating.

A NEW WAY TO MOVE
Navigation was rebuilt around a single wheel you can reach from anywhere in the app. Spin it, tap whatever you want — one tap, no centering, no double taps — and the labels are considerably larger and easier to read. Breadcrumbs show you exactly where you are.

MORE STORIES, MORE FILMS
Narrated Saga films now cover far more of the app, including your signals and the panels on your Pulse page, with synced captions you can read as they play.

BACKUP YOU CAN SEE
Settings now shows exactly when your Field Guide last backed up to your private iCloud, and lets you run one on the spot.

NOTIFICATIONS, KEPT
Every notification Keld has sent you now lives on its own page, so nothing scrolls away before you have read it.

HONESTY REPAIRS
A careful pass over what Keld says out loud. Sleep stages are named correctly. Signals that are measured only while you sleep no longer read as though they were watched all day. A pattern that flickers is no longer described as though it holds steady. Forecast language now defers to the measured track record behind it. When Keld does not have the evidence, it now says so instead of reaching. And the community Census now says plainly when no one has rated a pattern yet, instead of implying a few people have.

Plus artwork that repairs itself when an image goes missing, search in the Metric Index, a faster Field Guide, and a long list of fixes across the app.

Thank you to everyone testing Keld and sending notes. Keep them coming.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-07-09

SINCE 2.0 LAUNCHED — a few refinements:
Share films and cards now show temperatures in your chosen unit.
A new Refresh on any Elemental or metric re-tells its story and pulls your latest data.
An Open Apple Health shortcut when a permission needs fixing.
Steadier, self-healing sync; cleaner art and wording throughout.

Keld 2.0 is the biggest release in Keld's history — and it started with a bet. This June we made a decision: stop straddling platforms, and go all in on Apple. We threw away our entire cross-platform codebase and rebuilt every line of Keld natively in Swift — because Apple has the hardware to do what Keld dreams of, right there in your hand. A few relentless weeks later, this is that bet, delivered. And your existing Keld data comes with you.

ALL IN ON APPLE

Every line rewritten in Swift and SwiftUI — no web views, no cross-platform layers, nothing between Keld and your iPhone.
Built on Apple's own foundations: HealthKit, WeatherKit, Swift Charts, StoreKit.
All pattern-finding math runs entirely on your device.
Your Saga narrator speaks with on-device machine learning, powered by MLX on Apple silicon — your stories are voiced on your iPhone, not in a data center.
Films are composed and rendered on your device. Charts are native. Launches are instant. Everything moves at 60fps.
THE FIELD GUIDE, REBORN

Your patterns are Elementals now — each earns a name, engraved artwork, and for strong patterns a living creature of its own.
Tiers run Beacon to Noise, so strength reads at a glance and weak evidence never masquerades as strong.
Vote patterns up or down — for your own guide, and anonymously for everyone's.
NEW: THE METRIC INDEX

A whole new wing: every measurement Keld watches — 150+ body signals plus weather, air, sun, moon, space weather, and your places — organized by family: Fitness, Heart, Breath, Rest, Body, Mind, Nutrition, and more.
Every signal gets its own specimen card, live reading, charts, forecast, and story.
NEW: PULSE

Your new front page. Your latest workout leads, followed by what's coming up in your day — the next stretch of weather, your strongest forecasts for it, and your usual places.
The night sky, drawn honestly: the moon exactly as lit as it really is tonight, visible planets, meteor showers, and aurora chances.
A weather events timeline so fronts, swings, and notable changes read as a story, not a table.
FORECASTS THAT PROVE THEMSELVES

Keld forecasts your signals only where it has measured, earned skill — and shows you the track record behind every prediction. Blank until earned, never invented.
SAGA FILMS AND SHARE CARDS

Watch narrated films built from your real data — artwork, charts, creatures, and evidence, composed into a short feature you can share as video.
Every page of every detail can be shared as a beautiful picture card.
Tap Listen on any pane to hear its story read aloud.
NEW: TERRITORY

Keld learns your places: home marked in gold, your daily rhythm, and per-place readings for the signals that live where you do.
Name your places, and Keld weaves them into your patterns.
A GUIDE THAT EXPLAINS ITSELF

The Codex: a full plain-words handbook inside the app, with a table of contents.
Your first build plays out live — watch your Field Guide crystallize from your own history the moment you grant access.
HONEST AND PRIVATE, BY DESIGN

Every number says what it is, hedges when evidence is thin, and credits its real source.
Hand-logged signals wear a Self-Report badge and their stories are read with extra care — observations, never causes.
No raw biometric data of yours is shared by us to anybody, and Settings now includes Delete My Synced Data — one button, everything synced is gone.
Your Field Guide now backs up automatically to your own private iCloud — so a new phone or a reinstall never means starting over. No account, and nothing for us to see.
Keld reads from Apple Watch and anything else that feeds Apple Health. Welcome to Keld 2.0 — your body's sunstone.
