It’s just been this year. I’ve tried to check my settings but it’s annoying to always have to wonder if a storm is popping up and there is absolutely nothing. ### 2/5 — What happened! *2025-06-15* I have 3 locations and can, well I should say used to be able to swipe over to a different one to see the weather in that location. Absolutely does not work anymore and it’s up to date! Very disappointed and now looking for another app. ### 2/5 — Doppler images disappear without a force quit. *2023-07-04* After viewing the radar page and then closing the app, the Doppler image no longer appears when I reopen. I can still see lightning indicators, and other weather data. If I force quit the app and then reopen, then the Doppler images return. This has been a problem for at least a year. ### 2/5 — Hate changes *2022-07-12, version 6.8.0* I don’t use my phone for tons of apps so changing your layout to only portrait totally cancels my interest in this app. I HAD it on my iPad and basically use landscape… I’m not going t9 be flipping my device back and forth just for you weather… it’s now .. FirstAlertWeather. ### 2/5 — Ruined the satellite for me *2022-07-10, version 6.8.0* Blank white map. No option to change it to satellite view. Worked really good before the update. I’ll have to find another app that does what this one once did. Also, the Keloland apps will beg you over and over again to track your location and other details to feed said advertisements. Just want the South Dakota info you came for? Radar doesn't work a good portion of the time. Definitely not the "awesome" weather app that KELO weather people would like you to think it is. Just a heads up KELO weather team - changing your forecast to match what the weather is actually doing outside once the day comes isn’t actually forecasting anything. 0% chance of rain on both App and TV - 1-3 days out and then the day comes and low and behold it’s raining so magically the app forecast changes to 60% that morning. ### 1/5 — Please change it back! *2019-07-20, version 6.1.1* This app sucks😩 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Consistently wrong *2026-08-02, version 7.1.1* Horrible app! Never correct weather for the 10 day outlook! Heck they can’t get it right for more than 3 days! Deleted and will look for a better one. Anyone needing to know the weather right now, well just spend $5 on a paid app, pick any $5 app it’ll be better than this. Even Apples own free app tells me vital information (warnings) about 2 minutes before this app does. Not to mention that they made this a pain to use, hit play on the radar then move the map it stops then you have to hit play again and if you want to move the map you have to keep playing this game, and that’s after waiting for the lower ads banner to load since that’s the most important thing to show everyone. ### 1/5 — Need to wait through adds to see if storms are coming?? *2025-06-28* Used to love this app. I had multiple locations set up so that my home, work, and favorite campgrounds to make sure we stayed safe. Suddenly, there are adds?!?! So now I get a notification of storm watches/warnings and open the app for more details. But I have to wait through adds to see if we are in imminent danger?!?!? Shouldn’t this app be for preparing people for severe weather potential—sometimes minutes, even seconds count when there are storms coming. Adds are definitely taking this app out of the mix when it comes to safety. ### 1/5 — The whole app is worthless *2025-04-26, version 6.9.3* I wouldn’t recommend kill a land up to anybody because half the time it’s completely wrong even if you got your location service and everything else on ### 1/5 — No landscape mode on iPad *2023-07-07* I had deleted this app when it was downgraded to no longer work in landscape view on the iPad. I checked back this morning and downloaded it again to see if it had been fixed. Unfortunately, it still does not work in landscape view on my iPad. So, I give up. Deleted the app again. The graphics are great: whether that describes the background photos, the interface of the 24- hour/ 7- day forecast, or the interactive radar. In particular, I like how one can select multiple different cities/ towns in the radar and then scroll through them in the 24- hour forecast section if they want to keep a watch over multiple areas. However, one thing that should be fixed is the format of the advisories/ warnings of the National Weather Service- they should be made a little neater. Your new additions (Terry Peak Summit, Winner & Sioux Falls Pentagon cameras are either not loading or are not even working altogether.) The Sturgis & Terry Peak Mid Level cameras are working well. The Chamberlain Missouri river cam used to always load perfectly, now its taking too long to buffer.. Please issue a webcam video bug fix to your next new update. Thanks! :) ### 4/5 — 🤠 *2018-04-17* Definitely a nice upgrade to the app. The only real complaint I have is the fact that there’s no am/pm forecast videos. That’s not so bad, but the big problem is that it will not rotate on the iPad from Vertical to Horizontal.
