## What is Kennery?

Most home inventory apps want you to catalog everything you own — categories, values, barcodes, and then a subscription to keep your own list.

Kennery is the opposite. Two lines about where something went — "winter boots, under the bed, blue bin" — plus a photo if it helps. Search it months later, find it in seconds.

Everything stays on your phone. No account, no cloud, no subscription. Kennery Pro is $4.99, once.

HOW IT WORKS

Add an item, write where it lives, snap a photo if you want one. Later, when you can't remember whether the winter boots went in the blue bin or the closet, search for "boots" and Kennery tells you.

Seasonal decorations, gift wrap, spare parts, the box of cables you're keeping just in case, the things that went into the garage during a move — anything you put somewhere sensible and will not remember six months later.

WHY IT'S BUILT THIS WAY

A lot of home inventory apps want you to photograph and catalog everything you own, with categories, tags, values, and cloud backup. That's a project. Kennery isn't a project — it's a running list you add to in ten seconds whenever you put something somewhere non-obvious, so that future you doesn't have to open six closets and three bins to find the spare phone charger.

Made for busy, brilliant, forgetful minds.

Everything is stored locally. There's no cloud sync, no account, and no server involved. Kennery itself transmits nothing — your items and photos stay in the app's own on-device storage (your normal iPhone backup may include app data, like any app), and you can export a personal backup file of your own any time.

WHAT'S FREE, WHAT'S PRO

The free version holds 20 items — enough to prove the habit before unlocking unlimited items.

Pro removes the limit for unlimited items. Pro is a one-time purchase of $4.99 — no subscription, no recurring charge, no trial needed because there's nothing to cancel.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Anyone who has stood in a closet trying to remember which bin has the holiday lights, or asked a family member "did we keep the extra fan?" and gotten a shrug. If you store things away for months at a time and want a two-line note to jog your memory later, that's what Kennery does.

No ads. No data collection. No account required.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-08-11

Kennery now asks whether you'd rate it — but only after a search has actually found something for you, and never more than twice.

The App Store listing has also been rewritten so people looking for a home inventory app can find this one. Nothing about how the app works has changed: still one-time $4.99, still no account, still nothing leaving your phone.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-20

No release notes.
