## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not compatible

*2025-02-13*

Not compatible with brand new Kenwood dmx8709s!!! Never buying Kenwood again!!!

### 1/5 — Lame Sauce

*2025-01-05*

Phone has to be connected with app open to display photos.
I spent an hour “uploading” photos from my phone to my Wife’s stereo, only to find that when I unplug my phone the photos go away.
I can do this again on my Wife’s phone, but she’ll have to open the app or keep it open to see photos.
Kinda like the stereo doesn’t have a Storage location of its own.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2024-02-18*

Gives the ability to add photos to the app. App states connect to the receiver. Not sure why it’s not detecting the phone. Brand new kenwood unit and latest iOS

### 1/5 — App is junk

*2023-09-27*

Gives zero info. regarding what size file to use and if it’s too large , you can’t delete it. What a waste 👎

### 1/5 — Weak

*2023-08-24*

Come on Kenwood, you can do better than this.
How come we can’t delete photos from the receiver? Once I upload a photo it’s on the radio forever?
Don’t even bother downloading it.

### 1/5 — Didn’t work

*2022-05-02*

As always, KENWOOD apps are always disappointing, the traffic app is just as bad.
Next time I purchase a car stereo I will remind myself to get an Alpine instead.

### 1/5 — No luck making it work.

*2021-04-22*

The app always gets hung attempting to import photos. Click either of the only two choices and you get a never ending wait circle.

### 2/5 — Needs A LOT of work

*2022-02-15*

Can’t delete anything only upload.

### 4/5 — Outdated and archaic

*2024-12-09*

It feels like KENWOOD is stuck in the 90’s. Their receiver UI looks like PC visuals from the days of Netscape and dial up internet. Their apps are right there with it. I can only assume they never actually hired any UI artists and let their 60 + year old 1970’s programmers come up with these terrible interfaces. Friggin yuck.

Otherwise, it does indeed import photos, but apparently there is no way to edit what part of the photo shows up, so… meh.

### 4/5 — Good App, would be nice to shuffle photos.

*2024-02-05*

This app works pretty good, easy to upload photos and the head unit recognizes them fast. It’s nice to see personal photos while driving. My only suggestion is to be able to shuffle the photos and not see the same order every time. Cheers!

## Most praised reviews (2 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works fine on DMX958XR

*2025-04-21*

Able to load pictures onto the screen to make it more personal. iPhone 13 Pro iOS 18.3.2
Thank you

### 5/5 — So far so good

*2021-05-11*

I’ve only used it for a few days but so far it works perfect with my Kenwood 1037s. It’s simple and fast!
