However, this app is missing a key feature: the ability to rate the movies and series that you watch! Hasn’t been updated in more than 7 months. Give us Liquid Glass and regularly updates. I love the UI, it looks great and works smooth. Would like to see 2 fixes for it in future updates if possible: 1.) a mark all feature. As someone who tracks all TV shows and came from another TV tracking app, having to manually do “seen” on multiple seasons is time consuming. And 2.) if I’m watching a series and am playing catchup, it auto brings me to the most recent season. Then I have to do multiple clicks to get back to the season I was previously at. ### 3/5 — Apple Watch app doesn’t work *2025-11-06, version 3.1.3* When I try to open Kernel on my Apple Watch, it just shows a blank black screen. Even the watch complication isn’t accurate either and it just says “Out” on it. The IPhone app works fine but please fix the Apple Watch bug. ### 3/5 — Release dates *2025-10-13, version 3.1.3* The release dates are a couple days early. ### 4/5 — Good App - Opportunity for the all yo be great *2025-06-21* Hey Nikias, I live using this app. There are a few things that keep bugging me. Number 1, when a movie is released it will not give me an option to remove it from the upcoming playlist. Now my playlist is full of release movies, so I had to stop using that playlist all together. Number 2, can you add a “seen” or “watched” badge on the movie that we have in the seen playlist? Sometimes I would forget that it’s already watched and I would keep clicking it over and over. Number 3, make it possible to delete the default playlist. I’ll be awaiting your updates. ### 2/5 — Very annoying *2025-05-22, version 3.1.3* The content is good, however, the app has serious issues. It is very “juttery”and every time you turn it on you get prompted to turn on notifications. You cannot do anything until you dismiss the prompt. To add to that, the notifications actually don’t work. So you turn them on and don’t get them. Wish there was an activity section to know what I’m watching, progress for each series and such on. Also, a button to mark an entire season as watched would help. Seen episodes aren’t transferred to ‘Seen’ category for some reason. Would love to see rating movies/episodes and comments would be a cherry on top. Few features here and there would make this app unrivaled. ### 4/5 — Missing key features *2025-01-21* The app’s UI is top tier, but imo it’s missing one very important feature.. that is reviews. I would also like to see an option to customize my playlist with my own artwork or have suggestions based on the playlist name and the ability to delete the playlist that come with the app since I don’t use them and they’re just taking space on my library. Other than that, the app is great. ### 4/5 — Great just a few miscellaneous things *2024-12-21* The UI is wonderful and everything is so fluid. You can tell a lot of thought and effort went into this. Especially coming from Nikias, you know it’ll be great. However there are a couple of things I’d like to see added. Can we rate the tv shows/movies? When we recommend a show, etc to someone. Instead of just giving them a prompt to download can we get a cover art of what we are sending to at least let the person know what I am sending. 5 star app if those two things are added. The streaming services shouldn’t be nestled in a watch category. If a movie or TV show is on Netflix, then just put a small Netflix logo up. I just lose 30 minutes of life to set it but it not working. In Apple Watch no upgrade information at all. And you want subscription Yhe good luck. But the MAJOR flaw is it bugs me every single time I open it about having notifications turned off. It’s a conscious choice to have notifications off and I don’t need to be pestered every time I open the app. I’m hoping this annoyance is removed in future versions or it will be back to WatchNow for me ### 1/5 — Meh! *2023-12-16, version 3.0.3* Installed this, although already feeling dubious given that there were only a few reviews in the App Store, and those all 4 years old (!!!) … used it briefly … uninstalled it. Sure, great that the app is free, and has a nice, simple, easy to work out graphical interface. HOWEVER - no iPad version of the app, just the iPhone version that has to be enlarged on the iPad, and is still too small. App pulls in only minimal information regarding the plot, no ratings or reviews. No clear indication of how the films are sorted / categorised. Like so many of these sorts of apps, no facility to indicate what streaming services one is already a paid subscriber to, and then no indication as to whether or not the film is actually viewable for free on the relevant streamer/s. I still use it all the time. I can search for movies just by describing them with the AI powered search tool. I track all the movies and tv shows I want to watch, and list them in different categories. The one feature that would make the app so much more useful would be if data could be synced across different IOS devices logged into the same Kernel account! It would be nice to the ratings Mabye js put an IMDb and the popcorn and tomatometer next to the date (or make kernel a ratings app eventually). Also add the studio that made it Mabye in the cast toggle idk rly. Add search by streaming service js like a toggle somewhere to only see the movies and shows from the services u have. Also if u click on a movie that’s part of a movie series there should be some easy way to see the other movies in the series (preferably in chronological and release order). Love the app and the Apple influenced design , very clean and user friendly. I love being able to find new movies and shows and sort them into playlists that I can look back on and find specific content to rewatch or watch for the first time. I currently have several playlists sorting my favourite movies & shows, and another for what I’d like to watch.
