The mechanics, retro graphics/music and overall presentation are perfect IMO. I think this one will be staying on my phone for quite a long time. I got the same feeling playing this for the first time as I did when I first picked-up Orbital. And I haven't deleted Orbital since it first debuted. If you're a fan of puzzlers, retro-styled games or just a great and addictive challenge, I can't recommend this game enough! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Stupid Mock-up *2010-03-27* This game is just a mock-up of another game that came First! Some of you might remember Planet Puzzle League? (My favorite game) Other than that huge problem, the game is ok. ### 2/5 — Potentially brilliant *2010-05-12* But it's another one of those games where the reaction on screen sometimes lags behind or misses a tap. All too often the game loses it for you rather than a plain lack of skill, which becomes infuriating and makes you want to chuck the your expensive iPhone at the wall. Until it's fixed I have to say do not buy. ### 2/5 — Könnte besser sein *2010-04-08* Es gibt hunderte von schnellen Reaktionsspielen im Appstore, die irgendwie an Tetris erinnern. Damit so ein Spiel interessant bleibt, müssen Steuerung und Schwierigkeitsgrad ausgereift sein. Beides ist hier leider suboptimal. Selbst im "normalen" Schwierigkeitsgrad werden Leute mit schnellen Fingern und Hirnen Probleme haben, länger als 2 Minuten zu überleben- so schnell regnen die Teilchen nach kürzester Zeit. Verschlimmert wird das ganze durch eine träge Steuerung, die nach drei oder vier 'Swaps' oft einfach den Dienst verweigert, und bis man dann ein zweites Mal getippt hat, ist es oft zu spät. Fazit: lieber warten auf ein Update vor dem Kauf- es gibt Besseres. ### 4/5 — Interesting Little Game... *2011-08-06* An interesting take on match-puzzling. Great graphics and touch controls. Unique but slightly limited gameplay. A fun overall experience! ### 4/5 — A lot of fun *2010-12-05* I once played this game for 30 minutes straight (it keeps track of how long you play on the level) and you are able to listen to your own music in the background, which is always a good option. Nice graphics and sound effects. Though I don't play this game all the time, when I do I spend a lot of time on it. It's few flaws are all major unfairness in it's difficultly. If you have ever made a typo typing in portrait mode on the iPhone then you will fine this game suffers the same problem. Many times I have died in this game because I switched the block next to the one I wanted by accident. Furthermore, When a column gets high enough it becomes impossible to tell what particle is going to fall there, which is crucial to preventing death. Whilst I'm no fan of match 3 games (yawn) the devs here have, to some extent, simplified the genre, thrown in a pinch of tetris and created a game with a personality of it's own. It's well worth taking a punt on. I'd like to see it looking a little brighter or even visual themes in an update perhaps.
