### 5/5 — I want this!!!

*2024-06-20*

Love this app, and as an advid pokemon lover I would love if there would be more pokemon to guess a day or a separate section where you can just guess pokemon all you want!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-05-20, version 2024.3*

Great app. Feels fast and has no ads

### 4/5 — Really good :)

*2024-05-18*

Good just a little meh about the fact that you have to pay $10 to get all Pokémon and I wish the Pokémon bios were read to you. BUT I like everything ESPECIALLY there is NO ADS which I LOVE it’s a really good app over all for Pokemon enjoyers and viewers alike :D

### 5/5 — Love it😍😍

*2024-05-17, version 2024.3*

This app has helped me get through Pokémon platinum. Thank you Ben

### 4/5 — Showing game info

*2024-05-17, version 2024.3*

Great app except when showing game info the filter won’t save. Keeps resetting back to Pokémon Yellow.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2024-05-10, version 2024.3*

Would love to see a 3-D version of the pictures of the Pokémon spinning

### 5/5 — Excellent App, One Suggestion

*2024-05-10*

This is a great app, it makes for the perfect companion while playing any Pokemon game. The UI design is beautiful too, by far the best app I’ve seen when it comes to a Pokédex. One suggestion I have is in regard to the type matchup selector. I do like the wheel selector design, however I do wish I could swipe anywhere on the left or right half of the screen to begin scrolling through the wheel. Right now, I have to begin scrolling by dragging on the type icon itself, and then I can move my thumb down to scroll from a more natural position. It would be nice if a swipe on any position on the left/right of the screen brought up the wheel selector. Also, more just for me, but a “Pokemon of the Day” widget would be so neat. A previous app I used had a Home Screen widget feature that presented a different Pokemon from the Dex every day, but it’s no longer on the App Store. This app seems like the perfect fit for that type of widget!

### 5/5 — The best Pokedex

*2024-05-07, version 2024.3*

This is the most beautiful and useful Pokédex app you can get.

### 5/5 — Best Pokémon organization app - amazing presentation

*2024-05-07*

*I am updating my review as generational move-set data was added. Honestly this app is just the best!

This is the most beautiful app for Pokémon organization. It’s so clean, and works amazing I had to purchase the full version. The app has so much data, cleanly organized and has most of the relevant information I would want to see in easy to find locations. My gripe is that you can not select the move-set per generation (if it’s there I missed it). I also wish the app had egg moves. But amazing app and worth getting!

### 4/5 — £10???

*2024-05-02*

Amazing pokedex does everything you want it to but the rest of the pokedex cosying £10 is odd to me I would be pay about £5 but still gooand I don’t know how so many have bought the ketchup+

**Developer response:** Glad you’re liking the app! I try to charge what I think is a fair price for the app. Making apps is my main source of income, so I need the apps I build to make enough for me to be able to pay rent, buy cat food, etc.

### 4/5 — Great but not perfect - amazing presentation

*2024-05-01*

This is the most beautiful app for Pokémon organization. It’s so clean, and works amazing I had to purchase the full version. The app has so much data, cleanly organized and has most of the relevant information I would want to see in easy to find locations.

My gripe is that you can not select the move-set per generation (if it’s there I missed it). I also wish the app had egg moves. But amazing app and worth getting!

**Developer response:** Hey, I just released an update that adds Movesets across generations, as well as a few other neat features. I hope you’re happy with the improvements and consider updated your review!

### 5/5 — The best app!!

*2024-05-01*

This is by far the best Pokedex app and work so well!!! I can’t wait to see what else you’re able to add
If there’s things i think would be good to add, different sprites for different generations, and/or shiny sprites!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — It needs a subscription

*2025-05-02, version 2025.1*

Do not buy unless you are a pro Pokémon fan

### 1/5 — Caro

*2025-03-17, version 2025.1*

Un poco elevado el precio para información tan básica

### 1/5 — Filter features don’t work

*2025-02-09*

When using the filter features it doesn’t work. I paid for the $19.99 for the app and it doesn’t work properly

**Developer response:** Hey, sorry about the issues you’ve been seeing. It would be great if you could email me with more details at ben@obscura.studio and I’ll try to get that sorted asap.

### 1/5 — It’s alright

*2024-10-31, version 2024.6*

Having to pay to sort them by caught and not caught is dumb

### 1/5 — Unbelievable

*2024-04-30*

Stupidest thing i have ever seen an app that summarizes a game’s info needs a subscription

**Developer response:** Ketchup doesn't use subscriptions, there’s just a one-time in-app-purchase to unlock all the features

### 3/5 — Ketchup+ is annoying

*2025-06-08*

I love the idea of the app, and it is really helpful. I get that you need to make money some how, but I feel that it should be different. My suggestion is that you give access to all Pokemon , the ketchup + gives you separate sex’s for each game. I would buy it for a scarlet dex!

### 3/5 — Great potential

*2024-04-26*

Brilliant app and UI, but Pokemon learn different moves at different times across the different generations of games - something that the app doesn’t yet capture

**Developer response:** Hey, I just released an update that adds Movesets across generations, as well as a few other neat features. I hope you’re happy with the improvements and consider updated your review!

### 4/5 — Yes

*2025-04-30*

I like this love, it has everything needed for anything, sure it won’t read out the Pokémon descriptions but it’s still amazing and holds more than a normal Pokédex, like daily “Who’s that Pokémon” games and way to figure out what types are more effective against others. Even though it cost 10$ for all Pokémon to be available it’s still worth it. I do think there should be a map update, it would be cool if you can see the maps for every Pokémon generation, helping you navigate. But it’s a great app and I highly recommend it

### 4/5 — Very useful! Needs regional dex for each game!

*2025-03-29*

I absolutely love this app, I especially love how it keeps track of mons I’ve caught/ need to catch, however the feature feels a little pointless when I can’t actually see the full regional dex for a specific game. Maybe add a way to keep track of the pokedex from specific games

### 4/5 — What’s the Road Map?

*2025-02-01*

This app is clearly made by a developer who understands iOS and respects the operating system defaults.

A few questions I have are:
1) Is there a development plan for the app?
- Would be great to have a bit better Pokédex experience with tracking Pokémon on a per game’s pokedex level. Currently the app is sort of like a Pokédex for Pokémon you have in your Pokémon home I’d say. I’d like to track what Pokémon I have in my home but also on a per game basis.

2) Will new games be added when released?

3) Can the app be enabled to be installed on macOS?

**Developer response:** Hey, thanks for the feedback! I wanted to keep Ketchup as simple as possible, because trying to manage catch state across dozens of games (without the ability to sync with those games) just sounded like it would be a huge chore, and something that would probably be better served by a spreadsheet.

if you want to chat more about future plans, maybe send me an email at ben@obscura.studio

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — great app

*2025-12-28, version 2025.4*

its like bulbapedia but simplier, smoother, and overall feels more like a pokedex than a wiki which is totally awesome. i just wish there was an option to see the shiny sprites of the pokemon

### 5/5 — Amazing! Would recommend to all Pokémon fans

*2025-09-20, version 2025.1*

This is an amazing Pokémon app! I’ve been looking for this all my life! Simple UI! (Bought Ketchup+) Also some suggestions. You should add a catching method for every game for the premium version And also it would be cool if you could like organize Pokédex progress by game. Also you should add ways to acquire items. But really an amazing app and for only 5 dollars the features are amazing.

### 5/5 — Like having a Pokédex in your pocket

*2025-04-12*

There are quite a few Pokemon-obsessed kids in my life. Having a complete list of every Pokemon, move, and type match in your pocket comes in handy more often than you’d think.

On top of that, the app is excellently crafted and a joy to use. Thanks for making it!

### 5/5 — Really Good

*2025-04-07*

Ui/Ux are clean, app is really good.
Just miss some functionality :
- Regional Form doesn’t have own stats
- Team builder
For me nearly the best dex app on app store 😇

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2024-10-15*

Probably the best option for a dex app on the App Store right now!

One thing I would REALLY love to be added is the option to keep track of specific regional dexes for different games with their respective number orders. A great use for this would be to pull up the regional dex for a specific game so you can organize your boxes or keep track of what you’re missing when trying to fill up the dex for more than one game. Having some sort of party feature would be amazing as well. Thanks for making this great app available!

### 5/5 — Wonderful Experience

*2024-10-07*

This app is clearly made by a developer who understands iOS and respects the operating system defaults.

### 5/5 — Meilleur app de pokédex!

*2024-09-08, version 2024.5*

*2024-08-26*

The app functions just like you would hope a Pokédex app would. It is the perfect companion app on your Pokémon adventures! I use it primarily while playing pokemon games on my handhelds. The iPhone and iPad support is great. I wish the app had support to be on the Mac. Maybe in the future? Otherwise, no complaints at all.

### 5/5 — Nice

*2024-07-15, version 2024.5*

My pogo companion

### 5/5 — best pokedex app

*2024-07-07, version 2024.5*

love it! intuitive ui
