## What is KetoLens?

Photograph your meal. KetoLens estimates the net carbs and tells you whether it'll keep you in ketosis. That's the app — no weighing, no barcode hunting, no database searching.

Free forever: three photo-logged meals a day, no card required. New accounts start with 14 days unlimited, so you can see whether it fits your life before anything is limited.

Built for keto dieters, by keto dieters. No generic calorie counting. Every screen answers the one question that matters: "Will this food keep me in ketosis?"

THE KETOSIS BATTERY
A 0–100 indicator showing how likely you are to be in ketosis based on what you've eaten today. No more guessing. No more "I think I'm fine?" until the scale says otherwise.

HIDDEN CARB DETECTION
KetoLens flags the sneaky carbs hiding in sauces, dressings, breading, glazes, and root vegetables — the ones that quietly kick you out of ketosis without you noticing. Most trackers ignore them. We make them the headline.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Take a photo of your meal
2. AI identifies the food and estimates net carbs, fat, protein, and calories
3. Your Ketosis Battery updates instantly
4. Keep logging, and Insight cards surface the patterns worth knowing

INSIGHTS FROM DAY ONE
The first few days, KetoLens calibrates to you. Keep logging meals, add a ketone reading when you have one, and Insight cards start surfacing what you'd otherwise miss: the lunch that quietly tanks your Battery, the breakfast that sets up a good day, the day of the week things tend to slip. Useful, not naggy.

FASTER EVERY DAY
Foods you eat often get faster. Scan a label once and it lives in your Pantry; star a meal and it's in Favourites — re-logging tomorrow's coffee takes two taps, not another AI call. Doing keto with a partner or family? Connect and share pantries: every label they scan saves you the scan, and vice versa.

WHY KETOLENS IS DIFFERENT
• Macro ranges, not made-up single values: "8–12g net carbs" is what a photo can honestly tell you.
• Gets smarter: the AI learns from your corrections over time.
• Trust-first: every estimate ships with a confidence level (high / medium / low), so you see what's certain and what's a guess.

ALSO IN THE BOX
• Manual food entry for when a photo isn't an option
• Daily net carb, fat, protein, and calorie totals
• Timeline diary of every meal
• Manual ketone entry to calibrate your personal ketosis threshold

PRIVACY
Your photos and meals are yours. We don't sell your data and we don't share it for advertising. Account creation needs an email; everything else is optional. Non-negotiable, and we mean it.

THE IMPORTANT BIT
KetoLens is not a medical device and doesn't provide medical advice. Estimates are approximations. The Ketosis Battery shows likelihood, not a clinical blood-ketone measurement. Talk to a doctor before starting any restrictive diet.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.20 — 2026-08-19

The wait after you photograph a meal has received some love.

New — Take a photo and it now opens blurred and pixelated, then sharpens one square at a time from the middle outward under a small focus box, while a single line tells you what the AI is actually working on. It replaces four spinners running at once, a progress bar parked at 45% for the whole scan and a timer counting up at you.

Improved — Photograph something that isn't food and you now get "Take another photo", a gallery option, and a picture of what a good shot looks like. The only button used to be "Go Back".

Fixed — Leaving mid-scan and coming back used to land you on a dead screen until the next update arrived. It picks up where it left off now, and stops drawing an animation while you are not on the screen.

### 1.0.19 — 2026-08-18

The battery stops arguing with itself, and Stats gets rebuilt around what actually happened.

New — Stats now opens on a proper Trends page. Pick your range from a pill selector, tap any day in the heatmap to see the meals behind that score, and read your streak, keto days and average net carbs at a glance with how each one moved since last period.

New — Your score breakdown performs itself. A dot climbs the page, growing at every bonus and flashing red at every penalty, so you can watch the calculation instead of reading a stack of grey cards. There's an Animate toggle if you'd rather it held still.

Improved — The walkthrough and FAQ finally mention fasting and the inactivity decay, which had been quietly moving your score without ever introducing themselves.

Fixed — Your battery hero said 19 while its own breakdown cards right underneath added up to 38. Both numbers were real. Only one of them was ever shown to you.

Fixed — The fasting bonus had never once appeared for a real user, because the only moment it could be worked out was the moment you logged a meal, which is precisely when you are not fasting. A black coffee also no longer resets your fasting clock at hour 11 of a 16:8.

Fixed — A day where you logged nothing but a black coffee scored a perfect 100, while the day you honestly logged your oatmeal scored 13. Skipping your log was worth 87 points. The bars now know that no data is not the same as no carbs.

Fixed — Measure your ketones on a quiet day and the reading stays put. It used to be erased by the same inactivity decay it disproves.

### 1.0.17 — 2026-08-07

Fixed — On smaller phones the welcome screen still ran past the bottom edge, tucking the free-trial line and the button below the fold. Letting you scroll to them technically fixed it but we were not happy with that solution. The screen now shrinks itself to fit whatever phone you're holding.

Improved — Signing up used to greet you with four empty fields and a checklist of password rules before you'd chosen anything. Now Apple, Google and email sit as three equal choices, and the form only unfolds if you pick email.

### 1.0.16 — 2026-08-06

A build entirely about your first minute in the app — which, if you already have an account, you will never see again.

Fixed — Signing up with Apple or Google skipped the sample scan that shows you what the app actually does. It only ever appeared for people who signed up with an email address, which was never the intention.

Fixed — On smaller iPhones the "14 days free, no card needed" line sat just below the bottom of the welcome screen, and the screen did not scroll. The one reassuring detail was the one you could not reach.

Fixed — The first button said "Scan your first meal" and then opened a sign-up form.

Improved — The three taglines on the welcome screen faded in and out on a loop, so two of them were dimmed at any given moment while you were trying to read the third. They settle now, and hold still completely if you use Reduce Motion.

### 1.0.15 — 2026-08-03

See what the app does before you have to find keto food, a camera, and the will to use them.

New — Sign up and you get a ten-second demo on a sample meal first: real hidden-carb detection, a real Ketosis Battery, no photo needed. Then it hands you the camera.

Fixed — "Try a sample meal" now works on iPhone. The photo it needed wasn't making it into the app.

Fixed — Swiping a pantry item into your diary saved the meal but left the picture behind, so your timeline showed a grey camera icon where your food should be. The photo comes with it now.
