I have the KOS app on my phone and TV and although the streaming app is newer in comparison to others, there’s so much for me to watch and actually WANT to watch. Plus, there’s a lot of shows I can watch and enjoy with my teenage kids. I was concerned that there wouldn’t be enough content to hold my attention when I first subscribed, but that worry was for nothing. With what’s already on there, and the new shows that are being churned out, this app really shows the possibilities of what truly creative black content-makers can do. I haven’t found a show on here that isn’t entertaining. I’m very impressed, and I don’t use that word lightly. ### 5/5 — Here For All The Laughs And Insight *2022-06-01, version 7.502.1* The KevOnStage Studios app is so awesome! I have really enjoyed the amount of original content, guests on the shows, the bonus episodes of KevOnStage and That Chick Angel’s podcast ‘Here’s The Thing’, seeing Mrs. KevOnStage show out on her dating show ‘Love On Stage,’ AND seeing a few episodes of That Chick Angel’s show ‘Crafts and Cocktails.’ Each show has made the year long subscription of this app worth my time and money. For me, I enjoy the KevOnStage Franchise as a whole, it’s introduced me to other talents like Tony Baker, Tahir Moore, and of course my fav, That Chick Angel lol. I’m very much a fan and I’m rooting for all of them. Can’t wait to see how this app grows and what other stories they decide to tell on here. We immediately started following him on all social media platforms and have been laughing and enjoying content ever since! Watching and seeing his growth in everything he has created from content to bringing his friends/family up with him is not only inspiring but is so needed in the world. Now enough about Kev.... The App Kev has created is amazing! The content is hilarious, entertaining, and easily the next new big platform for black artists and creators! The app has been working flawlessly, clear pictures and sound, it’s never had loading or buffering problems, and my favorite feature you can watch something and minimize the app and use other apps or features on your phone. I highly recommend this app and the Kev on stage movement. 5 stars up ### 5/5 — Loving “Love on Stage!” So glad I subscribed. *2022-04-12, version 7.303.1* I was hesitant to subscribe to the KevOnStage app, because I can be cheap sometimes, and I have really enjoyed watching KevOnStage’s content for free, for several years now. And then came “Love on Stage.” I just couldn’t stand to miss out, so I said to myself: “Self, you’ve been enjoying KevOnStage’s content for free, for several years now, and you actually watch it more than you watch Netflix, which you pay for. Why not support this black family’s venture, while giving yourself access to more of the content you love?” Myself listened, and I’m glad it did. I’ve watched all three episodes of “Love on Stage,” and I can’t wait to see how that series unfolds. I’m also looking forward to exploring other content on the app. Kev and Melissa, thank you for being you and for continuing to bring great content to the small screen. ### 5/5 — The content is A+!! *2022-04-10, version 7.303.1* In honesty, when the app first started, I didn’t think there was much of a variety of content, but being part of the Stage Krew and a KevOnStage fan since the early days of the Playmakers, I subscribed out of sheer support. However, over a brief period of time, the original content added has been consistently funny and well produced. And I don’t mean “funny” where you just kinda or smile or maybe even chuckle a few times, I mean full-on auntie cackle, hand clapping, stomach pain kinda “funny”. This streaming service is worth it. I buy it annually. I’m a huge Netflix fan and I love this as something different. Quick bits of funny, like animation or arguing with the black card show. Real quality programming like the food and travel shows and THE BEST dating show. I didn’t realize how much I liked this service until I started thinking about all the things I like on here. Give it a chance, there is no wasted money. I believe when you support this service, you are supporting a whole lot of black peoples dreams and livelihoods. I've left an in depth review before but wanted to add a suggestion. Y'all should add "like" buttons to the comments and arrange it so that the top comments sit at the top. I know this isn't a social media app but since you all do have a comment section I think it would be really great to include that feature. I'm in my 20's and most of the people around me aren't apart of the stage krew but I would love to be able to have more engagement with the other krew members virtually and I think a "like" button and notifications for when someone interacts with ur comment would help build that community. I've never built an app before so maybe adding those features isn't as simple as it seems but if possible I think it'd be amazing! ### 5/5 — New Subscriber! *2022-03-15, version 7.204.1* I’m already hooked to the platform and I literally just downloaded the app yesterday. I didn’t know the app was released already but hey better late than never! I can definitely say I love how the platform allows us to see the amazingly creative work being pushed by our black creators. If you got it like that, go ahead and subscribe. The content is everything you’ve wanted, and more. In a time like this when sometimes all you need is funny, wholesome content for a laugh you can feel good about and keep laughing at, this is where you’re going to find it. Thank you Kevonstage and the whole team who made this possible because HTT, The Love Hour, TBTB, and all the other amazing content you’ve been making truly did get me through some of my hardest mental health moments in the last two years. PS, I’ve only been using the app for a week so I may need to update but the sorting options, specially “date released” isn’t actually sorting by ordering the episodes, they just sort in a random order. And the content that pushed me over to finally subscribe was: I wanted to watch Love on Stage so badly, and I was still so jealous of the SK for getting bonus HTT episodes. But Kev always said if you gotta pick one, patreon or KOS app, get the app. So that’s where I’m at now and I love it! I’ve spoken to support several times and I can’t seem to get the matter resolved. I have followed the prompts to reset my password, at some point in the process it says they will send me an email to reset my password. The email never arrives. I confirmed that the email is correct but the email never arrives! Support says there’s nothing they can do!!! There has to be something!!!! Can I change my email on file? Without the ability to rest my password I can’t use the app!!!!! I’ve attended his show and listed to every episode of love hour and here’s the thing. I even went back and watched all def to see him back then! So when he launched the app supporting was no question and the laughs just keep coming! Right now it’s skits and shorter shows but I can’t wait for them to drop a full feature length film exclusively on the app! Black people don’t do improv is a great place to start for anyone new to the app! To have a space for black creatives is powerful. But it’s not just an app to say we did it, these shows are very entertaining! Funny! I love Real Comedians Challenge show. I was fighting to not go through one of my depressive episodes and when Tony turned the blue painting around I lost it! 🤣 thank you so much for this space that’s not black people in trauma, or exaggerated drama. Just plain fun. I only gave it 4 stars because with it starting out there’s not a wide variety of shows I absolutely love yet. But I know it will get there, this is just the beginning. Here’s The Thing (HTT) is gut busting real time commentary on hot topics by Kev, That Chick Angel and Josh. The chemistry is so organic you feel like you are in the room with them. Crafts and Cocktails, Black People Don’t Improv, A Workplace Comedy and Real Comedian Challenge Show are comedic gems! The app introduces you to great young talent like Keisha E, Quinn Walters, Pat Cloud, Candice Renee and Dinora Walcott whom you might not have been exposed to. The KOSS also provides reality, foodie, talk show goodness with Love On Stage, What’s Good?, Coming to the Stage. I am readily awaiting the scripted series Churchy due to premiere later this year. This STREAMING SERVICE is amazing. I watch everything on this STREAMING SERVICE down to the animated church shorts, they are hilarious. I love the new talent that kev consistently has on the show. It’s something my husband and I can watch together in the bed at night when we are just hugged up. You know that dinner in front of the TV time before showers for the night and when you are digesting your food before bed. The 🗣STREAMING SERVICE is amazing and I really mean that. It’s growing so, it’s easy to content binge and be done in a weekend, BUT! There are new amazing WEEKLY shows now that are very worth the subscription price, while you support good people.
