The walking directions are very limited and not detailed “turn left” “go up” and similar directions that are extremely hard to follow without visual markers. Guide mispronounces words and sounds AI generated. I could not find many of the stops due to the lack of map and poor directions. ### 2/5 — Verbesserungswürdig *2025-10-19* Die geographische Ortung funktioniert leider nicht gut.. Am besten man bleibt stehen und wählt die Beiträge manuell aus. Es wird gesagt man soll der Route folgen - mir war unklar, wie ich gehen soll… Auch die Übersetzung ist leider derart schlecht, dass sich Zusammenhänge nicht erschließen. Das Nachlesen bei Wiki war deutlich informativer - für den Überblick. As it was we were all turned around. Also when talking of the kings throne it should be mentioned that this site is not actually on site. I disliked two things about it : (1) Very little information was actually provided. I compared with what the guides provided on site, and this app is probably only 5-10% of the information. (2) The voice over is terrible. The person who read the English text probably doesn’t actually speak English. It was at times very hard to understand. I am pro culture and have no problems with accent, but when the English is so bad that one cannot understand, it’s not productive. Verdict : not worth it. It started strong but then it was very unclear as to where we were supposed to go. I would give it zero stars if that was possible.. ### 1/5 — Cheaply produced with bad AI *2025-10-07* The audio AI is very poorly done, and the tours themselves often sound like they were written with AI, but they also have typos which makes me think it’s someone who doesn’t really care writing the tour dialogue. I did the Knossos Palace tour and the Heraklion tour, both of which had issues. The Heraklion tour route made sense, but there were times the geolocation went off and I was nowhere near the site. The Saint Minas Cathedral was also not in the right place at all in the app. The Knossos tour was not better; it was riddled with typos and the route it attempted to take me on did not make sense. I think all of this was produced with cheap AI and it shows. ### 1/5 — Idee gut, Umsetzung mangelhaft *2025-10-05* GPS Lokalisierung funktioniert leider nur sehr mangelhaft (trotz perfekter Darstellung auf der Karte). I downloaded from hotel and I had no issue using it ### 5/5 — Really enjoyed the app! *2023-08-02* I actually really enjoyed using this app. I purchased a combo ticket pass via GetYourGuide and it came with these self-guided audio tours through KeyTours. I used this app for the Acropolis, the Acropolis museum, and the Ancient Agora. I downloaded the tours at the hotel with WiFi and had no issues opening or using the app once I was no longer connected. My husband and I shared AirPods and since the app has a geolocation feature (which you have to allow), we would walk around the site and when we reached certain points of interest the app would automatically start playing. If I had a doubt about what the audio guide was talking about, I would open the app and there would often be a photo showing what it was referring to. Also, for the Acropolis and Agora, there’s a very useful map that we used to get around to the next point of interest. Very satisfied! ### 5/5 — Great for acropolis tour! *2022-06-12* We used this for a tour of the acropolis in Athens and it was great. It really allows for flexibility, eg we did it all backward so we could get to the top first and work down. The gps is great so it knows where you are and will tell you when you have reached a new stop. At some point it was hard to find a best way between stops, but I liked the information at the stops. The audio was in French and we needed it in English. They told viator that we didn’t buy the audio, even though I sent them a picture of the tour we bought. I liked how you could choose the location you wanted to hear the audio guide for and tailor the audio guide for your route. ### 4/5 — Acropolis tour *2023-11-09* This tour guide was free with our visitor ticket. Aviator ticket got us in without any hassle. Started the app on my iPhone and gave location permission and the audio started automatically each time I reached a key point. Himmelsrichtungen wurden falsch angewendet, Stationen an denen man war, wurden falsch angezeigt, Sprachen wurden gewechselt, die Erklärung fang an einem Gebäude mit einem Satz an einer Seite an, und der zweite Satz beschrieb die gegenüberliegende Seite.
