keyboard2 is a private, fully offline keyboard. It looks and feels like the stock iOS keyboard, but does more, and nothing you type ever leaves your device. The keyboard uses no internet at all.

i bought this so that my iphone keyboard would emulate my old android keyboard feature of being able to long press a key to insert punctuation. they got the general concept but theyve prioritized long press for symbols such as: + = < ^ rather than my most commonly used symbols like ? and ! ... ive looked to see if there are options to customize ... nope! i wish i didnt pay for the app. can i get a refund?

**Developer response:** ? and ! have always been under the dot key accessible for you with all other punctuation options. Since version 4 you are now able to see all the hints above the letter so you can better find it.

So far its been good, the key spacing is almost identical to the stock apple keyboard so its not too hard to switch to and the option to hold down on a key to get alternate symbols (for example, hold k or l to get brackets) makes typing a lot faster for me. The emoji search just doesn't work, idk why it just doesnt let me search. I didn't download any of the autocorrect languages and the app has yet to attempt to connect to the internet which is good. With a keyboard that would know everything im typing, its important that its not randomly connecting to the internet so i know its not uploading anything im typing. So far a great keyboard, and as long as it never attempts to connect to the internet (unless im downloading a new language) I would recommend it!

One thing i would like is an option to make the keys/entire keyboard taller to give more room for each key so its easier to type, but the layout works now for what it is

I use the tap and hold for symbol feature a lot and for some reason they left out the exclamation point from the main letter group screen. I can get period and question but now i have to go to the 123 menu just to get the exclamation point. Defeats the purpose of this app for me. Wish they would add it. Even better would be to allow customizable symbols on the letters. PLEASE fix this.

**Developer response:** Exclamation mark has always been under period as well. I made the visibility for it better now. If you still don't like it, you can place it elsewhere via custom layout.

It is so close to perfect. There are long press symbols, which is why I'm here (thanks reddit), but no swipe typing and I need it. If you don't swipe you will probably love it though. Also, I wish there were a pink theme option. Really well done though, not for me unfortunately.

Does not really frame itself well compared to other keyboards on ipad. Ipad is odd but at least a few options for scaling on all devices would be appreciated.

Options i'd like added: 
-height 
-width of keys
-split keyboard
-additional option/action keys along bottom, and layouts 
-computer keyboard keys like "ctrl" "tab"

I like just about everything else, but a comma could be added near the emoji key. I had been searching for a good keyboard since switching over from android and this is the best one I've found. But it definitely needs autocorrect and better predictive texts.

Custom layout improvements
- Reorder rows by dragging: grab the handle next to a row and move it where you want.
- A row added on top now renders correctly, with the same key widths and centering as the rest of the keyboard.

Auto-fix
- The keyboard now fixes typos for you: end a word with space or punctuation and a misspelling no language knows gets replaced with the closest match - no tapping needed.
- One backspace right after a fix brings back exactly what you typed.
- Optionally let the enter key apply fixes too (off by default).

Diacritics in hints
- Choose how accented letters show on the keys: hidden, first one, or all of them - and whether they appear before or after the other hints.

Emoji key style
- Pick the filled or the outlined smiley for the emoji key - applies everywhere, including when the emoji key is merged with comma or enter.

Separate sizes for landscape
- The Sizing settings now have Portrait and Landscape tabs. Landscape follows your portrait sizes by default, or set your own landscape key heights and gaps.

Landscape polish
- The keyboard preview in Settings now renders landscape exactly like the real keyboard - correct widths, heights, and margins.
- Opening the keyboard while already in landscape now sizes it correctly, and rotating looks smoother.

Fixes and improvements
- Keycap letters now sit on one even line - no more slightly pushed-down keys next to centered ones.
- Double-tap-space-for-dot no longer triggers across a quickly typed letter, and respects its setting reliably.
- Theme previews now mirror the real keyboard faithfully: merged emoji key, extra letter keys (like Hungarian's í), and hint alignment included.

A separate comma key:
Add a dedicated comma key next to the spacebar, so typing a comma no longer needs the symbols keyboard (disabled by default).

Put the emoji key where you want it:
Left of the comma, right of it, or merged into the comma or enter key - merged means a long press opens the emoji keyboard, and a small smiley on the key reminds you it is there.

Match any key with any other:
Your own themes could match a key with the letter keys; now any key can match any other - style shift once and have backspace follow it. You can also copy one key's full style onto another as a one-off.

Style the comma key:
The new comma key is its own part in the theme editor. It looks like the dot key until you say otherwise.

Edit the dot and comma keys in your layout:
Tap them in the layout builder to change what they type and what a long press gives you.

Keep pasting:
A new setting leaves the clipboard open after you paste, for pasting several items in a row.

One set of colours, your choice:
Going from separate light and dark colours back to one set now asks which of the two to keep.

Fixes:
Older saved themes could fail to load and disappear from the list - they no longer can. Language and accent changes now show up in the settings preview immediately. The keyboard also starts a little faster.

  Choose the keys on each row and what their long-press gives you. Shift, backspace, space and enter stay where they are, so you can't end up without them.

  Search in the language you're typing, not just English. Every emoji is covered in every one of them, and search survives typos: "smle" still finds the smile.

- The number row gets its own look
  Separate font, size and colours from the rest of the keyboard.

- Swipe typing fixes
  Words now work when a letter sits on more than one key.

- Layout fixes
  Turkish and Latvian had wrong letters on their top rows. Spanish gets its ñ accents back.

  Keys no longer type while you're holding space to move the cursor.

- Swipe trail: Choose the colour and thickness of the trail your finger leaves, or let it follow your theme.
- Layout: A new horizontal gap setting to space the keys out. A new Key touch area screen with a live diagram of exactly what each key covers.
