## What is KeyCut?

Turn your iPad into a colour-coded shortcut deck for video editing. Tap a button and it fires the real keystroke straight to your Mac — no combos to memorise, no extra hardware to buy.

KeyCut Live puts every key command you actually use one tap away, labelled in plain English and grouped by what it does. Trim, ripple, blade, mark in and out, switch tools — they're all there, no hunting for three-finger combos mid-edit.

WORKS WITH YOUR EDITOR
Built for Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Switch editor and the whole layout switches with it, so the shortcuts always match the app you're in.

SET UP IN UNDER A MINUTE
Download the free KeyCut Helper for your Mac, pair over your local Wi-Fi, and start editing. Your iPad and Mac talk directly — nothing leaves your network. No account, no cloud, no sign-in.

WHY EDITORS LIKE IT
— Every shortcut visible at a glance. No cheat sheets taped to the monitor.
— Tap to fire, or pick up the keys as you go — the real keystroke shows on every button.
— One iPad, three editors. Switch in a tap.
— No Stream Deck, no extra gear. It's the control surface you already have.

Free to download and try. A one-time unlock gets you KeyCut Live for good, with a monthly option if you'd rather.

The control surface you already have.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.8 — 2026-09-28

Small improvements and fixes to keep KeyCut running smoothly with Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
Enjoying KeyCut? A quick rating really helps other editors find it.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-07-02

Now works with three editors — Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. The layout switches automatically when you change editor, so your shortcuts always match the app you're in. Plus a smoother first-run setup and faster pairing with your Mac.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-06-04

Smoother setup after you unlock KeyCut Live — clearer steps to get you pairing and editing faster.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-06-03

New App Store preview video showing KeyCut in action. No app changes this time — just a better look at what it does.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-06-02

Reliability update.
• Your iPad now stays awake while KeyCut is open — no more tapping the screen to wake it mid-edit.
• The connection to your Mac now heals itself. If it drops when you switch apps or the screen sleeps, KeyCut quietly reconnects the moment you come back. No restarts.
Open it next to your Mac and forget it's there. That's the idea.
