## What is KeyPassX?

KeyPass X is a KeePass password vault for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. Open and edit KDBX 4 vaults, keep KDBX 3 files read-only, organize entries into folders, search titles, usernames, URLs, and notes, pin frequently used entries, and move deleted entries to Trash for later restore or permanent removal.

Use a master password, an optional key file, or optional Face ID and Touch ID unlock. Generate passwords with configurable character sets, copy values with an automatic clipboard timeout, and hide revealed sensitive values after a configurable delay. Password AutoFill on iPhone and iPad can offer saved passwords after device authentication. An encrypted Watch snapshot supports offline browsing; changes from Watch require the matching vault open on iPhone.

Import or create encrypted vault files locally or in KeyPass X in iCloud Drive. Apple iCloud Drive, CloudKit, iCloud Keychain, WatchConnectivity, and Password AutoFill are optional Apple services used for the corresponding features. The app has no account, developer-operated server, advertising, or analytics flow verified in this repository. Vault contents are handled as encrypted KDBX files; the app does not export plaintext vaults. KDBX support is provided with the KDBXKit dependency.
