This is the second time in the last five or six years. I have 3 KeyPoint accounts and it’s easy to toggle between them. It’s easy to transfer money between accounts and external accounts too. I used the transaction value search range feature a lot before it was discontinued. Please reinstate it in the next version of the app, ok? ### 2/5 — Bungled update *2024-09-26, version 24.1.2* Testing on IOS should have revealed the challenges in updating one’s password in the iCloud keychain. The new app design makes it impossible to generate a new strong password and have it remembered in the keychain. I must now figure out a way recover my password and then save it in the keychain. Not what I wanted to do today when I just needed to check my balance. Please test this minutiae before you launch and identify these problems. You’re a banking app and this stuff is important. ### 2/5 — HATE this update *2024-09-24, version 24.1.2* As of 9/24/24 i HATEEEE this update and how much junk is on my home page now. I hate that i can’t see a running tally of my finances as things are debited from my account. Just a final balance of what i have available. UGH please change it back ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Adding Steps Isn’t Innovation *2026-07-22, version 24.3.0* Taking a picture is easy. It’s pretty intuitive. But KPCU doesn’t trust its users to be smart enough to do that, so to cash a check, you need to wait for an AI to fail to take a picture on your behalf before it will even allow you to just use a normal shutter button. The fix is so annoyingly simple. Just do it the old way. Give us back a shutter button so we can take a picture of the check. KPCU is overcomplicating it, wasting customers’ time and battery in the process. This doesn’t serve customers at all. It’s not innovation. It’s arrogance and ego of developers. Sometimes simple is enough. I will continue updating this negative review until we get manual check photos by default. It’s so easy to implement and so stupid not to. ### 1/5 — Terrible App and Even Worse Customer Service: Avoid Keypoint Credit Union! *2025-12-06, version 24.2.4* I tried transferring money from my Keypoint account to another bank through their app, and it was a total disaster. The transfers failed because of some problem on their side, but I didn’t even know until one of their reps called me out of the blue with this super cold attitude. All they said was, “Hey, your transaction didn’t go through, just try it again.” When I asked what happened, they brushed me off like, “We don’t know, but here’s a number for the back office if you want to dig into it.” Come on, that’s ridiculous! Why do I, as the customer, have to call some other department to figure out their mess? The rep couldn’t be bothered to check anything basic, and it left me totally annoyed and clueless. Worst part is, the app didn’t send any notifications or warnings about the failure. I only found out from that random phone call. What if I was paying bills or making a big purchase? These things could just flop without a heads up, and that’s scary. Keypoint’s app is glitchy, their customer service doesn’t care, and the whole thing feels sloppy. Save yourself the headache and go with a different bank. I’ve already jumped ship. If I could give zero stars, I would! ### 1/5 — Lock out *2025-11-18, version 24.2.4* The app works one day and then won’t let me login the next day ### 1/5 — Cannot Paste Zelle Contacts *2025-05-17, version 24.2.1* The app will not let you paste contact information when sending money using Zelle. I guess KeyPoint thinks they're somehow increasing their app's security by forcing their customers to type contact information by hand, risking mistyping a phone number or email address and then sending money to the wrong person. However small that risk may be, this is ridiculous. But it is painful having to use their app over the years I bank with them. It use to be a fine app too, felt like an actual mobile app with a nice gui meant for mobile. Stable and easy to do your expected transactions on it. But every overhaul update, it gets more unstable and the interface cruder and uglier by the year. It looks like a web browser than an app, crashes or fails to upload regularly, and can't support more than 2 biometric log in devices (why is that a thing?). Nearly every other CU I bank with have real, better apps that get better with each update. But KPCU gets worse. If they roll the app back 4 years, it be great. Now, its a chore and a bad one at that to use. ### 1/5 — The app keeps crashing *2024-03-19, version 23.1.2* The app asks me to choose my phone number to authenticate my identity and as soon as I get the text message, the app crashes. ### 1/5 — Does not even allow to login *2024-01-27, version 23.1.2* The app used to be good but lately it does not even allow logon.
