### 2/5 — Amazing Idea

*2026-06-05*

It’s a really great concept. Although there are some quality of life changes that can be made it has a lot of potential and is quite easy and fun to use.

**Developer response:** Thank you, that means a lot especially this early on. You're right that there are some quality of life things to improve and we are actively trying to improve them. We're even adding an in-app feedback feature so we can hear exactly what users want and iterate quicker. Thanks again for the feedback.

### 1/5 — Money

*2026-07-01*

You have to pay money! I thought u could just do it for free. NO u had to pay. Like I am broke and have no money and im trying to play the piano but NO I have to pay like what.

**Developer response:** I totally understand. We wish Keys could be free, but every song you transcribe runs on servers that cost us real money, and the subscription is what keeps our small team going. That's why there's a free trial so you can see if it is worth it for you.

### 1/5 — Low effort

*2026-06-23*

Everything about this app feels incredibly lazy. The UI looks completely uninspired, almost like it was entirely auto generated by AI with zero human thought or effort. It feels more like a rushed cash grab than an actual application meant to help you play piano. How am I supposed to learn piano with a UI like this? Definitely not worth downloading.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback. I have spent a lot of time working on it, but I also understand that there is still a long way to go. I'm currently redesigning the song player a bit, but would love to hear more about the parts that need improvement. If you'd like, tell me what specifically should be improved at support@bestdaylabs.com

### 1/5 — Hängt total

*2026-06-22*

Ich finde die Idee und das Konzept von der App echt super, leider funktionieren aber sehr viele Buttons nicht und die App hängt sich immer sofort auf, wenn man in den „browser“ grht

**Developer response:** Sorry you had an issue with the load time and app crashing. I haven't experienced these issues on my end, but I will definitely look into them and try to fix them. Thanks for the feedback.

### 1/5 — Don’t recommend

*2026-06-21*

To be honest I don’t recommend this app. There are other apps that do the same thing just better. This one almost feels like a worse version of those apps. The navigation isn’t great, the transcriptions are often off, it’s not smooth. It’s honestly hard to even follow when I’m trying to practice from it.

**Developer response:** Sorry you had a bad experience with the app. We are trying to improve it and I think the laggy/choppy playback issue should be fixed in the next update. If you have more detailed feedback to help us improve it, then we'd love to hear from you at support@bestdaylabs.com.

### 1/5 — Not good

*2026-06-15*

For an app that requires you to pay to use, its features are really lacking, it can’t translate any song well unless it’s only piano, and if it’s only piano, there’s probably already sheet music or an existing tutorial. As it stands, this app is not worth it.

**Developer response:** Sorry you had a bad experience with the app. We are currently trying to improve the piano isolation and hope it will be better shortly. Thanks for the feedback.

### 1/5 — This app is NOT accurate

*2026-06-05*

This apps transcriptions are so off compared to other midi apps. Like I’m so happy I didn’t spend actual money on this because it’s legitimately super scammy. The app is super hard to navigate and it’s honestly hard to tell what’s going on. I feel like they tried to make strum but for piano but honestly strum is so much better because it’s actually accurate and easy to use. This app just blobs a bunch of random notes on the screen and it looks and feels so messy. I would recommend that you don’t subscribe until they improve the app and make it usable and worth what they’re asking. It feels a little ridiculous I’m not gonna lie.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback and sorry that the app frustrated you. Keys is only a couple weeks old and we are constantly trying to improve it. Transcription is most accurate on solo piano right now. Songs with vocals or backing tracks are where it gets noisy, and that is what we are working on fixing. We also hear you on the navigation and usability of the app. We are integrating a place for feedback on the app to hopefully understand where users feel confused or lost in it. Thanks again for the honest feedback.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-05-31*

They deceive you you think you can get it, but no, you have to pay to even use anything stop lying to us

### 1/5 — Its all lead

*2026-05-27*

They try so hard to promote it but yet they can’t fix their app It’s not even accurate I searched a piano piece that already had notes and compared it and it was extremely different and I’m a pianist of 10 years and too many unnecessary notes and the ai is bad when sustain happens and the app has a fake rating

**Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback. You're right that the transcription isn't perfect. Sustain is challenging since notes ring together and the model picks up the sustained tail as extra. We feel the model is pretty accurate, but definitely has lots of room to improve, especially on audio that isn't pure piano. Sorry for the bad experience you had with the app and we will continue trying to improve it.

### 2/5 — Inaccurate

*2026-07-13*

The transcriptions are very inaccurate, 80% of the notes shown are either wrong or not even in the song. Not very useful

### 2/5 — Inaccurate

*2026-07-04*

The app is a great idea but it’s poorly executed. Firstly you have to pay to even use the app but the main problem is how inaccurate it is. Some of the keys it would show were completely wrong compared to the video you’d upload and sometimes it would actually get the right keys but the app would add an extra random key. It’s truly a good idea but this app is too inaccurate and not worth it.

**Developer response:** Thanks for trying the app out and giving honest feedback. Transcription struggles a bit when there are extra instruments or vocals over the piano, and audio quality matters a lot too. Recordings with heavy reverb or noise won't come out great. Cleaner, piano-forward videos are far more accurate, and we're actively working on improving the tough cases. Thanks again for the feedback.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR AN APP LIKE THIS! And i love it!!!!

*2026-07-16*

Honestly, where do I start the fact that it tells you exactly how to play a song just with a YouTube link or a screen recording on your phone that’s hassle free and that’s super convenient not only that I think there’s no limit to how many videos you can upload so long as you keep becoming a member for 499. You can’t beat that you can literally learn any song And it tells you the chords and how to play them. You can also make it so that the notes come down super slow or super fast to your liking. Also, you can do play-by-play mode where you can play with the piano with the app and it’s like you’re learning it as you go
I love it and its worth every penny

### 5/5 — Perfekt

*2026-06-26*

I Like it very much because it helps beginners

### 5/5 — Best app

### 5/5 — Amazing

### 5/5 — Epic

*2026-06-01*

This app is truly groundbreaking and is incredible! As a pianist I find this app highly useful

### 5/5 — Pretty cool app

*2026-06-01*

Pretty cool app. It seems to work well and helped me learn a couple of songs off TikTok. The app also just looks really good and it is fun to scroll through the feed.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-05-31*

This is the BEST app for piabo players escpecially begginers. The price is so worth and it and honestly you should be paying more. I think everyone should get this tbh. Aspiring pianists this is your app. I love it and use it everyday. Follow them on TikTok too for updates.

### 4/5 — Really good

*2026-07-26*

The app is excellent overall and has been a huge help. However, it can sometimes get confused about which notes should be played by the left and right hand. It would also be great to have an option to select the key signature for a piece, as the app occasionally identifies flats as sharps. It's only a minor issue since they're the same note but it would make the app even more accurate.
Other than that, it's a fantastic app and an helpful for all pianists, especially those who struggle with reading sheet music.

### 3/5 — Room for lots of improvement

*2026-08-12*

I’m trying a lot of apps right now to transpose these piano covers I find on YouTube with no sheet music or anything so this app looked solid. I really do like how accurate the rhythm and timing of the notes are and how the synth holds the sustain. But it’s the same issue as all of the other apps, the transcription will add random notes or forget to add some completely. And i understand that it’s just the state of technology but i think adding way to edit the piano roll to remove, add, or move around the keys would be a great addition. And the practice mode is nice but almost impossible to use when it doesn’t even pick up the notes I play. Overall I’m still going to use it but I’d love to edit the notes if I could.

**Developer response:** Thanks, this is genuinely useful feedback. You're right about the transcription, and an edit mode is a good fix. Being able to add, delete, and drag notes around the roll is something we want, and it's high on the list of things to do.

Practice/learn mode should be improved now with a recent update, but I will look to improve it some more. Thanks again for the feedback.
