I’ve had payment rejected multiple times for discounts given out the same day, had discounts stop working after I drive to the shop for pickup, and had the button grey out. The login function has been, for the past two years, a game of Russian roulette - will it actually allow me to login, or will it just redirect me back to the home page with a prompt to login again? And then you end up with 14 different login verification codes in your text messages. I guess it’s technically more responsive than the MyMaccas app, with its increasingly slow response times, but the continued aggravation caused by the KFC login makes this app more trouble than it’s worth. God forbid you have to change phone number - you are then essentially barred from your account. You order and if you have a problem “sorry call menulog” except menulog closed down “oh I mean door dash” door dash doesn’t have you order in it’s system so you can do anything to cancel it but don’t worry you food is already made and gone cold before the driver decides to pick it up with the other 30 orders from other apps so guess you have to wait some more ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bad *2026-09-02, version 2609.0.0* I was seeing the big dinner order. It said $25 for pick up and $34 for delivery. But when I read the details it says the delivery fee is only $3.95 even though it’s almost $10 extra. It just lies about that. I’m not saying it shouldn’t cost extra for a delivery fee but just don’t put the wrong details or descriptions. I also get scammed when I order wicked boneless. Sometimes they give me small fry tenders instead of wicked boneless. ### 1/5 — No good promos. That said, the staff couldn’t be more hardworking and friendly whilst keeping the orders flowing through. I made my first online order at Ormond by mistake so I arrived late after going to the wrong store. The staff made me a fresh, hot replacement without even asking. If only more restaurants and cafes were like this. My only complaint is the drive-thru design of these small KFC stores. Space is tight and so they have to prioritise these customers over those inside the store, at least that’s what I observed I may be wrong. One of them is new. Typed in postcode and picked the first Glen Waverley store, which turned out to be the wrong store. Also, I’ll add that you can’t select a store by navigating the map (unless you have location services on the map is useless) which is why I had searched by postcode. The mymaccas app lets you do this. The store was quite unforgiving and wouldn’t help, which meant I ended up eating a banana for lunch. The app puts the onus on the customer to get it right so ok - partly my fault, but why not just order the old fashion way and be guaranteed food? I’ll add while I was there, there was another order for a person named Peter who never arrived. I suspect this is a common occurrence. Update: increased from 1 start to 4 stars. The app got updated yesterday and the postcode search and map has improved a lot. It’s easy to navigate the map and you can pick the store on the map now. Also, the swiping the store location updates the map to the store location. The app developers must have responded to complaints like mine so it’s good that they’re listening. ### 4/5 — Easy and way better than Macca's app. *2018-05-06* After using the Macca's app I am so grateful for this one. And I appreciate y'all responding to my previous review. I would love it if you added the wicked wings dinner pack as an app option - my fav and in my opinion one of the better quality options. I kind of hate how when you pick a store to go to you get a zoomed in map. Once you put your default/favorite sites in, you should lock it in state/region so it's not hard to find other close stores (with an option to manually switch of course). Things you do well: able to pay at the counter (drive through option), customisable meals, special offers, speedy meals. Things I would like: the wicked wings dinner pack, able to add my receipt thing so I don't have to change it at the counter, maybe a comment box just so I can ask for things beforehand), maybe a PayPal option? Edit: seriously a comment box.
