It was easy to use, the templates looked professional, and I was able to create a great resume right from my phone. However, I want to warn others about the subscription. I purchased the Premium version through the mobile app, assuming it would also give me Premium access when I logged into the website on my computer using the same account. While my resume was there, I couldn’t download or access the Premium features unless I purchased another Premium subscription for the web version. I ended up paying twice just to access the same resume on a different device. The resume builder is excellent, but this separate billing between the mobile app and website was frustrating and wasn’t clear before I subscribed. If you plan to work on your resume across both your phone and computer, make sure you understand how the subscriptions work before paying. **Developer response:** Thanks for the thoughtful feedback, and we’re really glad you liked the resume builder. Just to clarify, the mobile app offers two subscription options: a mobile-only plan at a discounted price, and a Web + Mobile plan that includes access on both platforms. Please contact our support team and we’ll be happy to refund the price difference so you only pay for the subscription that best fits your needs. ### 4/5 — Easy for highschoolers + doesn’t force you to use ai *2026-06-22* I don’t like that it has ai in the title but it doesn’t force you to use it, can be done by person which i like because i personally don’t like using ai Has examples which does unfortunately have people’s information like email and numbers But easy to use and helps me understand what i need on my resume ### 2/5 — Template updates not great *2026-06-07* Kickresume used to be excellent: clean interface, thoughtful templates, and a formatting system that rewarded precision. Recent updates have changed that. The most immediate issue: ATS parsing now drops my contact information in the middle of the page rather than at the top. For anyone applying through online portals, that’s not a minor glitch — it’s a disqualifier before a human ever sees the resume. The template margin changes have also thrown off carefully calibrated bullet character counts, requiring a full rewrite of content I’d spent considerable time refining. That’s the opposite of what a resume builder is supposed to do. I’ve been a committed user, but I’m now actively exploring alternatives. If the template infrastructure gets fixed and ATS compatibility is tested more rigorously before updates ship, I’d come back. Either professional or standard type of resume, this app meets those needs no matter what they are! The best part of it all is at the end of creating your resume, they let you review it in print preview first and don’t charge you any money to download it on pdf format so you can save it to your phone and print it out later! Super cool! Super easy! la la la looooove it! ### 3/5 — Good with bugs *2026-03-13* I have started using this yesterday onwards and was good at the beginning and was able create good clear ATS friendly resume. After creating 6 resumes it started to block the upload saying unable to upload your old resume to edit. I have upgraded to premium while I started using in the beginning itself to get best experience. This bug is not fixed Idk why. You cannot change details of your final design like format very easily, like you have the ability to do when using a simple application like Docs. If you want to edit the design, you have to re-enter every detail into a new resume draft, imagine like creating a new project on Canva every time you insert a theme you don’t like. ### 1/5 — I really wanted this to work *2026-06-19* I signed up for an account hours ago at this point. It said it would email me a confirmation to create my account. I’ve not received that email at all (and yes I checked my spam folder). I tired to see if there was a way to request another confirmation email. There isn’t. I attempted to just create the account from scratch again. That didn’t work because it says my email already has an account. An account they never let me verify or even access. Based on my experience using this app is a waste of time. Time you need to be using looking for new jobs. I’m bummed I really wanted to use this app and have the app actually work. **Developer response:** We’re really sorry about this. Even when providing details about the job, keeps using standard text which shows very poor AI interaction. I appreciate all of the tools it offers including AI assistance when needed as well as the resume review and feed back. It has helped me create a polished resume and is super user friendly!! Also the ATS word scanner is beyond helpful today with many resumes just be shuffled into a pile it’s nice to know if you put the job in which you’re applying to it can help generate tracking words to help stay within the top candidates.
