### 2/5 — Really lacking

*2025-04-16, version 2.0.0*

Real shame as it’s a great charity and NHS midwife recommended by the app is really lacking as it’s a shame as it has potential. The NHS recommend taking note of a pattern of routine of baby kicks but the app only allows you to track the amount of kicks per day, rather than showing what time of the day those kicks took place.

### 2/5 — Glitchy

*2025-02-28, version 2.0.0*

Could be really useful but the app is just too glitchy. Constantly loses my counts for the day so I have to try and remember how many I’d logged, might as well just write it down somewhere instead.

### 2/5 — Frustrating

*2023-02-02, version 1.2.6*

Keeps asking me the following every time I try to register 1 kick:

"Kicks Count" would like to paste from "Mail"
Do you want to allow this?

Extremely frustrating!

### 2/5 — Apps not that great

*2022-09-28, version 1.2.6*

Hard work to log in or out, you can’t compare by time frame and is just really simple app

### 2/5 — Glitchy

*2022-09-07, version 1.2.6*

Unable to use as cannot get introduction to load and many of the icons just won’t load.

### 3/5 — Good concept but glitchy

*2021-10-17, version 1.2.6*

It’s a very good idea but my app crashes at least once a day meaning If I’m in the middle of recording my sessions for the day I lose the info and it returns to 0 sessions, so I then have to try and remember what number I was up to .

### 3/5 — Easy to use but lacks some useful functionality

*2021-09-26, version 1.2.6*

The interface is good and easy to use.

While you can looks back and see the number of sessions per day, it would be much more helpful if you could then click on that day and see what the pattern of sessions is for that day by time slot.

### 3/5 — Needs a bit of work

*2021-02-16, version 1.2.6*

At the moment the graph shows total number of movements over the last 7 or 14 days. A simple tweak to break up the bar chart by using colours to indicate at what time of day those kicks took place would be much more useful.

### 3/5 — Could be improved

*2020-07-15, version 1.2.6*

I think it’s a great idea from a fabulous charity - however if you are supposed to log periods of activity, you cannot look back and compare periods of activity as the blocks of time are too large (4hrs). I think if they could add this in as a comparison people would find it much more useful, personally I would.

I currently use the count the kicks band from them and am not yet getting much more out of the app

### 2/5 — Doesn’t record time of day

*2020-01-29, version 1.2.6*

Agree with previous reviews - the app will only show you the time of day kick sessions were logged for the current day you are on. You can’t see any historical data on this, so there is no way to see a pattern of when baby kicks at certain times of the day, which I thought was the point.

### 2/5 — Not Great

*2019-11-11, version 1.2.6*

I don’t find this app helpful as it doesn’t record the time (or time period) that you logged a kicking session so you can’t look back over the last seven or fourteen days and identify a pattern of what times of day your baby kicks. It only records how many kicking sessions you log. I thought getting to know your baby’s kicking routine was key thing but this app doesn’t help you to do this.

### 2/5 — Meh

*2019-10-13, version 1.2.6*

Such a shame that the app does crashes all the time. I tried to use it for a few days now and didn’t manage to go through one single day without loosing my data... it happened everyday! I open the app at some point and the kicks session are not saved and back to zero...

### 1/5 — Keeps freezing when asking to rate the app

*2019-05-14, version 1.2.6*

The stupid thing is I’ve already rated the app, but a pop up will still appear and the freeze on the page so I can’t enter any more kick information, I’ve already had to uninstall and reinstall once losing all my information, now it’s happened for a second time I’m getting another app, developers please remove this feature as when working properly this is a 5* app

### 1/5 — Not useful

*2019-03-18, version 1.2.6*

It doesn’t log how long it takes to reach ten kicks. It logs in a 4 hour window. Also my average data is nonexistent. This is the main point of the app! Fix this and it’ll be 5 stars!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2023-03-08, version 1.2.6*

No option for if you’re pregnant with multiples to track individual baby movements

### 1/5 — Basic, not helpful

*2020-08-14, version 1.2.6*

Only records kicking sessions in four hour blocks so you’re not able to look and say ‘my baby is usually active at 11am until 12noon’ which is what you need when trying to work out what your baby’s pattern is. Looking for a better app now.

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing

*2020-05-13, version 1.2.6*

It keeps crashing and resetting my count mid-way through the day so no point in using it anymore. It would also be helpful to let you know the length of time since the last kick. Going to delete and find a different app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t save info

*2020-01-16, version 1.2.6*

This was a complete waste of my time

### 1/5 — Doesn’t keep data

*2019-12-14, version 1.2.6*

Says to register to keep data, have done this and yet when I go back into the app to count more kicks yet again it has reset and shows no data ... reinstalled and no difference so no good at tracking anything!

### 1/5 — Not a kick counting app

*2019-11-10*

Kicks are supposed to be measured by time - doctors say 10 kicks in 2 hours. This app does not track time but “sessions of movement” in a day. Not truly a kick counting app.

### 1/5 — Has potential but doesn’t work

*2019-10-30, version 1.2.6*

Key issues with this app:
- it crashes all the time - currently I haven’t been able to get past the login page all day
- you can’t delete a log entry if you make a mistake which they ruins all the averages
Such a shame - it has potential but is just frustrating.

### 1/5 — Keeps Crashing & loosing count totally useless

*2019-08-27, version 1.2.6*

This would be a great app if it actually worked, but it crashes all the time loosing the data count which is really annoying as it’s pre-set to correlate the count to time of day. This would be really useful if you didn’t have to keep starting the days count from 0 again and again throughout the day. As you do it’s all completely useless and makes a mockery of the whole initiative!

### 1/5 — Time wasting

*2019-06-26, version 1.2.6*

Such a shame this app is useless
It just wipes data I would go to add a kick and it would show as nothing all day after I’ve been using it throughout the day to log movements
Has to delete after a few days

### 1/5 — Didn’t work

*2019-05-22, version 1.2.6*

Since this counts the number of kicks for the whole day, I was in & out of the app all day adding the counts. But when I opened it later that evening, the count had gone to zero so I lost all the data. I don’t really get this app...

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great!

*2022-03-26, version 1.2.6*

I’ve used this app in both of my pregnancies and it’s been really useful. It’s helped me both times around to know what’s normal for both of my girls.

It’s such an important app to have! It was the reason I got checked over at 29 weeks with my first because she hadn’t moved as much as what was usually normal for her, luckily everything was fine. It’s so important to monitor baby’s movements and this app just makes it that little bit easier to keep track of them all 💖

### 5/5 — Saved my baby

*2020-11-13, version 1.2.6*

Downloading this app reinforced the important message to me to monitor baby’s movements. If I hadn’t mentioned the reduction the day before and complete absence of kicks that morning to my midwife at my due date checkup I wouldn’t have saved my baby. Heart rate was fine but the CTG she sent me for found distress and he was born an hour later by C section. He recovered well after a week in hospital. The app isn’t perfect but it is so important to act on what you feel and get checked. Thank you so much to the developer and charity xx

### 5/5 — Great App

*2019-05-20, version 1.2.6*

I love this app and it works perfect. I love having the reassuring as I always forget and second guess my memory and then start to panic. I would love to be able to have the app available on my iPhone so i could use this on the go and still be able to record movements with out having to use my phone.

### 5/5 — Reassurance

*2019-03-31, version 1.2.6*

I loved this app for reassurance. After my first son was stillborn I used this app with my second son and I liked to keep tabs on his movements.

### 5/5 — Priceless app

*2017-03-11, version 1.2.2*

I think a lot of the previous bad reviews have been before the latest update and/or from misunderstanding of what your supposed to be counting.
There's nothing really to complain about. It's a simple counting app. It does what it says on the tin and I've never had any issues with it.
The message behind this charity is soo important and this app along with the support from the charity is soo empowering for women to trust their instincts and know when to go and get checked out.
It makes me soo sad to hear of ladies being made to feel silly for getting checked for reduced movements.

### 4/5 — Helpful for all day tracking

*2022-06-27*

I really like this app, I think it fills a gap the other kick counting apps do not meet. Other apps are great for doing your once a day kick counting tracker (ex: every day after dinner count how long to get to 10 kicks), this app is good for paying attention all day. It is important to pay attention to what your baby’s patterns are throughout the day, and this app allows you to do that and record it. If normally I feel my baby move 15-20 sessions per day, but one day I only feel 4 sessions, I would go to the hospital that day to be checked out. Better safe than sorry. I define a “session” as a movement that happens more than 15 minutes since the last session I recorded. I record one count per session. This app isn’t perfect but I’m glad to have it to fill that gap.
I also recommend using another app for your once per day counting of a single session.
Remember to talk to your doctor about your approach!

### 4/5 — Great bit basic app

*2021-02-08, version 1.2.6*

Really useful and simple to use app. Great for keeping an eye on baby’s activity. Could do with a few improvements though - it would be really helpful to have an extra screen where you can see the time stamps of each session and add/edit/delete sessions.

### 4/5 — Good but I think the feature below should be added;

*2017-04-14, version 1.2.2*

Good app but I think it would be better if you could enter kicks from earlier in the day rather than just from the current time, as I'm at work all day i don't have access to my phone however I do write down his sessions and times of them while at work so it would be great if I could enter them on to the app when I finish work to be able to understand my baby's pattern more and make the statistics more accurate! :-)

### 4/5 — Simple to use, needs a little extra.

*2017-04-04, version 1.2.2*

Simple app, works well & tells you how many movement sessions you've had each day. Just wish it would also tell you the times you've had these movements over 7/14 days to show you baby's individual pattern (rather than just the day you're counting).

### 4/5 — Not as bad as the other reviews say

*2016-09-06, version 1.0.4*

This app never lost my data. The only slight issue I had is it didn't reset in the mornings but that turned out to be an iOS glitch with apple and not a problem with the app.

I think the problem some people have is getting to grips with movements being about maternal perception. So I personally decided I was not going to track every single movement. I tracked sessions of movements as movement felt and then if there was a gap I'd record another session. I was consistent in my approach so my results were meaningful to me. I loved having an average and it gave me the confidence to know if I was worrying too much or I genuinely needed to be seen.

The only addition I would like to see is a graph that shows the average for times of day as that would have been helpful to demonstrate to professionals why I was worrying.

Unlike most apps this app gives the correct and most up to date advice available at present and as a charity they do some wonderful work in the uk and have contributed to saving the lives of many babies.
