My only critique is with alerts. The option to notify me of an interconnected alarm event should be selectable. Since I have all Kidde smart alarms, when one senses smoke, I get that alert as well as 7 other “interconnected alarm activations” this dilutes the actual alarm notification (that matters). ### 3/5 — Need info on testing the alarm! *2026-08-04, version 10.0.2* Could not figure out how to test our water alarm and couldn’t get help from Kidde. ### 4/5 — Integrate with HomeKit *2026-03-31, version 9.4.0* This app wouldn’t need to exist if the team integrated with Apple HomeKit The device already is integrated with google home and Alexa which is great ### 5/5 — Peace of mind *2026-03-10, version 9.4.0* I’m surprised how much I actually love these and how much they give me a piece of mind. We had about 30% of our house flood just over a year ago due to a faulty water softener line. Unfortunately, it took a devastating food and so much flooring and wall repairs for me to purchase a warning system. The model I decided on alerts of water is detected as well as sends an alert to my phone. I can leave my house without worrying about another flood and I can check the status of any of my 5 Kidde Smart Detection alarms. Can get as far as “ready to connect” and then button is dead. No error message. No advice for next steps. Just no response. ### 1/5 — False alarms! *2026-02-22, version 9.4.0* I have probably 8 Kidde smoke alarms in my house (model P4010ACSAQ-WF). These things are JUNK! We get false alarms way too often that now I just first look to immediately ignore and disarm them after they go off full blast. And it’s typically in the evening or late at night after my kids are asleep. I called Kidde Customer service once. Spent about 45 minutes on the phone with them. She told me that it may be caused by spiders because it’s cold outside. So she suggested I blow the alarms out with compressed air. Did that. Still have an issue. And no…spiders aren’t the problem. What a joke! If I could, I’d get all my money back and throw these away. Don’t bother with Kidde. ### 5/5 — Great smart connected device *2026-02-21, version 9.4.0* I had two old Nest protects that were expired. As they are no longer in the market I opted to replace With Kiddie detectors. The app is super simple for set up and provides all the alerts and information I require. Also I also think it’s great the app works on IOS for my phone, but also full size for my iPad. Great experience with this app, highly recommended. ### 1/5 — Poorly thought out app *2026-02-14, version 9.4.0* I switched internet providers which can’t be uncommon. I have been inside the app trying to change the WiFi which was easy to do on every other app I have but Kidde doesn’t have this option so I may have to run it without internet, as now I gave up due to this stupidity of a design. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not operational *2026-08-09, version 10.0.2* The sensors, when installed, worked well. Now, the sensors are offline more than they are online. Secondly, the app is so much limited, it does not even clear any of the alarms. We have to unplug the detectors, reset them, and plug them in again every time! Then you’ll go in and try to sign in, but it doesn’t save your username or password. My neighbors were seriously annoyed by the noise and they could do l nothing about it. When I was at home, with nothing possibly to trigger the alarm I resorted to unplug the indicated device, wrapped in towels and moved it to a non disturbing location. After about 20 minutes I could reinstall it with no further hiccups. A 10 year carefree device should not expose the owner of so much regular inconvenience. ### 1/5 — Annoying App *2026-04-05, version 9.4.0* Continuous Unnecessary notifications in the middle of the night. I immediately got a loud alert on my phone though the app and ran downstairs to check and while there wasn’t a lot of water (enough for a quick towel mop and some fans) this probably saved me from having to replace my entire flooring.
