แอปพลิเคชัน KidDiary ถูกพัฒนาโดยศูนย์เทคโนโลยีอิเล็กทรอนิกส์และคอมพิวเตอร์แห่งชาติ (NECTEC) ร่วมกับเครือข่ายกุมารแพทย์และผู้เชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะทาง เพื่อเป็นเครื่องมือสำหรับพ่อแม่ในการติดตาม เฝ้าระวังสุขภาพและพัฒนาการลูกอย่างต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่แรกเกิดจนถึง 19 ปี เนื่องจากแอปพลิเคชันทำงานผ่านเซิร์ฟเวอร์ทำให้สามารถส่งข้อความแจ้งเตือนเมื่อพบเด็กที่มีความเสี่ยง เพื่อให้เด็กได้มีโอกาสพบแพทย์และรับการประเมิน พร้อมรับทราบแนวทางการพัฒนาที่เหมาะสมรอบด้านตามวัย ซึ่งข้อมูลที่บันทึกและแสดงในแอปพลิเคชันนี้จะช่วยให้แพทย์สามารถวินิจฉัยได้อย่างรวดเร็วและแม่นยำยิ่งขึ้น
