### 3/5 — Poor Functions/User Experience

*2024-05-14*

I love the app concept but this app is not user friendly. Poshmark is much easier to use and has better function. I just wanna use this app for kids clothes with Poshmark function. My complaints are
1. Not great cancel function. I had an experience that the seller hadn’t ship for two weeks and I canceled the purchase. But the seller could sell and, of course, payment was happen. The seller missed one item of my perchase and both of us, seller and I, contacted support. Then the seller could change the total cost by herself as she wanted even the calculation was incorrect. As a result, I needed to paid more than what I received. I never agreed the changed price. How could this happen? Easy to use for fraud. We need to believe seller are nice people. It’s a joke.
2. Keep having all shipping fees total even after you make bundles. I buy several clothes to reduce shipping fee rates per perchase and I need to make offer every time just for that.
3. Can’t make counter offer to offer from seller. I have no idea for this. Seems I need to wait until the offer is expired or make bundles again and make an offer?
4. Not great sort function. The favorite list doesn’t show seller names and that makes difficult to make bundles, I hope show the names or have a sort function. Bundles/Offer doesn’t show each clothes size, I think it’s important for kids clothes.

### 3/5 — Barely functional “faves” feature

*2023-08-20*

Review from a buyer, not a seller. This app keeps favorites on the main “me” menu, in some mysterious order. I’d like to be able to compare faves from different searches in one place, so keeping them in order added would be the bare minimum. It would also be nice to be able to unfavorite something straight from that screen instead of going to each individual listing, scrolling down, and unclicking the heart. And have a way to filter by “unsold”/“still available”. This part of the app needs a lot of attention. Developers should check out other common shopping app “favorites” features (best imo is Etsy but that’s elaborate; see ThreadUp for similar market or Target for simple).

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate the great feedback!

### 2/5 — Forcing sellers to include shipping w/new app version

*2022-10-09, version 12.4*

I like this platform, but it is annoying, unfair and bd ethical practice to force sellers to include shipping with the new app update.

Not only Kidizen raised the shipping prices, the app did not update the already listed items with the new shipping rates IF shipping was not included. So imagine the time it takes to go back to each of your listings to update the shipping price.

Also, when buyers cart items, sellers are informed and given the option of sending them a bundle offer.
Before the update, the app will give the seller and buyer the subtotal of the items and the subtotal of shipping alone, including the total amount of discount IF the store was offering a discount.

With this update, there’s no subtotal of anything being showed. Just the price of shipping and the total. The app is not even processing the discounts correctly.
By not showing us the subtotal of the items separate from the shipping and total, it is forcing us to include shipping in out items so we can offer a deal to our buyers.

It is horrible to have Kidizen raising shipping prices (even higher than Post office) to then not allowing us to make good business decisions of our 2nd hand items

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. Please note that sellers are welcome to ship either with a shipping label purchased through Kidizen or through a carrier of their choice. If using a shipping label purchased elsewhere, a tracking number is required to ensure timely payment once tracking for the order updates as being shipped.

We do our best to keep shipping prices as low as possible, but unfortunately as USPS shipping costs continue to increase, we are put in the position of needing to increase shipping prices as well. Negotiated pricing for shipping labels provided through our partnership with Sendle are typically less than USPS. Shipping with Kidizen labels makes an order eligible for Kidizen Protection. Should an order that has tracked as being shipped end up becoming lost in transit, Kidizen will cover the cost of the refund, which allows sellers to keep the amount earned.

We received direct feedback from many users regarding the disappointment with the change in subtotals. We're happy to report that subtotals are now reflected separate from shipping costs to make this clearer for both buyers and sellers.

If we can assist further, please contact our Support Team at hello@kidizen.com. We're always happy to assist with any concerns or Support issues!

### 3/5 — Needs improvements

*2022-06-26, version 11.6*

The most annoying thing about this app is the notifications, they don’t update when someone removes things from their cart. It just keeps the same notifications, even if they are no longer valid. So some people will add things to their cart by mistake, then remove them, and it still shows up in my feed. I would love to make offers on items that people that really want their carted items, but those notifications get dumped further down and I can no longer see them.

### 3/5 — Barely functional “faves” feature

*2022-03-23, version 11.3*

Review from a buyer, not a seller. This app keeps favorites on the main “me” menu, in some mysterious order. I’d like to be able to compare faves from different searches in one place, so keeping them in order added would be the bare minimum. It would also be nice to be able to unfavorite something straight from that screen instead of going to each individual listing, scrolling down, and unclicking the heart. ### 2/5 — Disappointing customer service

*2021-08-05, version 10.39*

I spend a lot of money on this site. I recently received a dress with a stain that was not disclosed in the listing- I tried contacting the seller and did not receive a response. So I emailed customer service, who asked me to provide photos. I sent the photos and never heard back a week later, so I emailed again. No response. I finally emailed from another of my email addresses to ask what was going on, and was told they never received anything else from me, so too bad essentially. I explained that I had sent the photos when asked for them and forwarded them again- with the time stamp. This was several days ago and I still have not gotten a response. I’m tired of dealing with the situation so I’m keeping the dress and will try to sell it myself. But it makes me hesitant to purchase from the site in the future, if my purchases are not protected. No sense in wasting money when I can go through Poshmark or Mercari and at least get a response when items aren’t as described.

### 4/5 — Great App, Just One Thing

*2021-07-23, version 10.38*

I just started using this app today, and I have to say, it’s a great app. My two favorite things is that it estimates the prices for you. The only problem I have is that you can’t search the brands you want. The only way you can select a brand is by scrolling through, which can be very time consuming. Other than that, it’s a great app and I haven had any further issues so far.

### 4/5 — Good but could be better

*2020-07-28, version 10.20*

I’ve only just recently started using this app, and made my first sale yesterday. The only thing I would say could you some upgradingWould be when you go to do your own label you should be able to copy and paste the address. The fact that you have to type it all out as time consuming in the greater scale of things when you are somebody who ships a lot of items every day. I feel like it would be an easy fix for Kidizen to do,
And would help streamline the shipping process.

Edit:It would definitely be awesome if there was a feature that allows us to Mark and the item as sold instead of just hiding or deleting it.I feel this helps give customers conferenceWhen they see someone shop because I see the word sold out a bunch of items. It’s kind of the same thing you can do with the depop.... but it also shows buyers that you are making sales even if people are leaving reviews.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your suggestion, which will be shared with the team!

### 5/5 — Few improvements for sellers

*2019-11-27, version 10.6*

Love this app! As a seller I’ve always had a hard time finding the carted items from a buyer because I have to scroll through the alerts. When someone carts multiple items it can be even harder to keep track and you end up missing a carted item or making an offer if you want to. It would be great to have a tab or a place like “my offers” for example to help with this process. Let’s say I send an offer and it expires and the items are still carted by that person, I can go to the “carted” or “offers” tab to resend an offer or even msg the buyer.

### 5/5 — My favorite buying AND selling app

*2019-10-18, version 10.5.1*

I’ve bought and sold on at least five other platforms over the years, and Kidizen is by far my favorite. The community and environment is positive, the selection and availability of quality items for kids and parents are fantastic, and all the while I’m supporting a women-owned small business. Extra kudos to their great customer support for both buyers and sellers.

### 5/5 — The Best

*2019-10-10, version 10.5*

I love this app. I am so thankful that it was recommended to me by a friend. After buying basically one time use clothing for my three kids from big name stores. I decided I was going to start buying higher quality clothes that of course cost more. This app is a lifesaver! I can buy high quality lightly and sometimes brand new clothes for my kids. It has saved me so much money and I am able to resell so many things! I make about $20 a month that I am able to put back into the clothing budget. I tell every mom I know about it. I am the biggest fan!

### 4/5 — Great app

*2019-10-01, version 10.4.4*

I really like this app. It’s a great place to find gently used and some new clothes at good prices. And you can sell your child’s gently used or unworn clothes as well. The only thing I would like to see added to this app is the ability to choose multiple sizes when searching for items like choose one or 2 number sizes along with the small, medium, large, and extra large options. The one thing I would most like to see added is a size 18 to the children’s sections. Now a size 16 isn’t the largest size. A lot of kids like my daughters grow really tall really early in life. But they don’t like the adult clothes yet and still like the kids stuff. I’ve noticed most retailers have noticed kids are growing taller and most offer a size 18 thankfully for parents like me who just have tall kids. We have to have the 18’s for waist length and sleeve length. But the app only has a 16+ size choice and most of what I’m seeing is size 16’s. I’d love to be able to only see the size 18’s. Otherwise it’s a great app! Maybe someone there will read my review and add this for people like me.

### 5/5 — L O V E

*2019-09-26, version 10.4.4*

Just made my billionth purchase & was asked to review the app through the App Store so here I am. We love Kidizen! I’ve been bst’ing since my first nephew was born, 10 years ago & apps like Kidizen have really changed the game. I can find almost every iso I’m trying to hunt down almost immediately. The search engine is great & makes it so easy to find what you’re looking for without knowing the “name” of the item & so many sellers reach out with discounts making it even better! They have something for everyone ranging from Carters, boutiques to high end.

### 1/5 — Does anyone actually get their orders on this app…?

*2023-09-06*

I frequently use Mercari and Poshmark, and they are my go-to for resale and sourcing clothing. At first I was excited to find the Kidizen app since it was geared more toward baby and children clothing, but I guess I’ll have to stick to my go-tos. I’ve ordered 4 separate items from 4 different sellers at different times on the Kidizen app, and each and every time they have been cancelled. Granted, this happens occasionally when using Mercari and Poshmark as well, but it’s few and far between in my experiences. It’s extremely frustrating to find cute clothing for a reasonable price, only to never receive it and keep getting refunded. Also, selling on the app isn’t worth it, in my opinion. I sold a brand new sweater for $7, only to actually make $2 after fees and purchasing the shipping label.

**Developer response:** We're so sorry to hear about the experiences you had with your purchases and can understand your frustration! We would appreciate knowing more to see how we can make this right. If you are willing, please reach out to our Support team by sending an email to hello@kidizen.com.

### 1/5 — So long to ship and no warnings to buyers about slow sellers/failure to send from sellers

*2023-04-22*

I tried to purchase an item on here and I joined this app solely to purchase said item. I waited 3 weeks to have the seller ship the item and they never did. Poshmark gives a whopping 7 days before everything gets refunded and makes sure to send constant reminders to the seller to make it happen and it is shown as a warning to future buyers when a seller takes too long or doesn’t ship at all and has to refund an order. This platform seems to offer no warning whatsoever to the sellers proficiency in their sales. If I had known the seller takes WEEKS to send I definitely would not have bothered. That was my first and last purchase here. Was not a good experience. More anxiety and stress than it is worth just to purchase some clothing.

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2022-07-02, version 12.0*

This platform is a joke. Literally no seller support, the customer service representatives will do anything to put blame on sellers for anything. I’ve had instances with blocked buyers using new accounts to purchase items, with people sending harassing messages, and with people very often purchasing and canceling and customer service has always tried to spin it on me as a seller, telling me I could’ve sent a nice message, or could list items with an even more detailed description than I already give (they’re detailed) because buyers don’t read shops items and profiles. They will not remove negative feedback wrongly left, they don’t support sellers in any way. It’s just another buyer friendly, punish seller type of app. I’ll be starting to move my items off of it.

**Developer response:** We're very sorry to hear of your disappointment with Kidizen.

We entrust both buyers and sellers on Kidizen take an active, honest, and responsible approach to the transactions they choose to conduct on the Kidizen marketplace. Should there be an issue with another user, we are happy to intervene as needed, and have done so when requested.

To clarify, we do not restrict international buyers per se, however our capabilities do not yet support international sales, although we hope to expand those capabilities someday! When you ship an order to a US-based distribution center on behalf of a buyer, Kidizen Protection applies as with any other US shipping address should an issue arise.

That is correct that there is a $1 cash out fee when cashing out amounts less than $15, however cash outs $15 and higher are at no cost to the seller.

If we can address any other concerns you might have, please feel free to send a message to our Support team at hello@kidizen.com and we'll be happy to assist further!

### 1/5 — Horrible App and they Steal from you

*2021-04-11, version 10.34*

I use poshmark and Mercari and LOVE the apps! I have used them for years! Both of those apps are easy to use and the customer service is outstanding!

However, Mercari I have only used for less than a year and a lady sent me over $100 in shirts that I purchased and she stated that they were Excellent condition. All of them were FAKE Armani as well as looking like they have been through WWIII....Kidizen did NOT return these.

Another issue with Kidizen I had was recently. I sold a pair of Swim Trunks that retail for a lot that I stated were in GUC and had not even been worn an entire summer. The buyer clearly just didn’t want them and said the waistband was stretched. I informed her that she should have looked up the size chart or asked for waist measurements as they were not stretched out. I told her and Kidizen I was willing to accept a refund but wanted my item returned. Kidizen stated that they don’t check their messages on their app (makes ZERO) sense and they closed my case so I cannot get my item returned Back to me AND they are making me give her money back. Kidizen also refused to email me back.

I’ve read horrible reviews and I thought maybe that it was from people who are looking for perfection. I have purchased items that had flaws when seller said they didn’t and still kept the items and went on my way as these are used apps.

STAY AWAY from this APP!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2021-03-22, version 10.33*

I thought this was going to be a great kid-item focused app for reselling & purchasing. If you’re a mom on a budget I wouldn’t waste your money or your time. I’ve used this app for 2 years and still can’t figure out a way to actually make a profit between the outrageous app fees & shipping costs. My last sale was in the negative! There are other platforms that are much more buyer & seller friendly. It seems to be geared toward more high-end items and sellers still want $$ for them even in play condition. With my budget I can’t even justify that for a new item much less one in play condition. If you’re more of an Old Navy or Carter’s brand kind of mom you’ll find those, but even more than retail cost. The platform itself does no promotion or advertising for you to help you be successful like I have experienced with other platforms. This was really disappointing to me especially since I use my resale credits to purchase my kids clothes. It helps me to feel like I am contributing something to our finances in that way and you would think a mom-based app would be much more supportive of that.

### 1/5 — So disappointed

*2020-02-26, version 10.11.4*

I was very excited about this app only to be disappointed by their customer service. I happened to have shattered my iPhone & spent a week trying to get another one. In that 7 day period 2 of my items sold. When I finally got a replacement phone, the app wouldn't Let me message the buyer to tell them I had a delay citing it was bought thru Facebook & we can't communicate. Frustrated, I got the buyers address and mailed packages. The same day I receive a notice they refunded the buyer because I hadn't mailed it in time. I email customer service & was passively aggressively told: your fault. Too bad. They refunded $5 out of $20. I caution everyone in using this app to sell or buy anything. Wrong or right it was how awfully it was handled by passing the blame to me & not caring if I was happy or not.

### 1/5 — Don’t Waste Your Time

*2020-01-04, version 10.7.2*

I’ve tried this on two separate occasions now and I’m about to cancel the whole thing again. Maybe if you have lots of extra time on your hands, or if you have a source for cheap brand name items you can flip, this works. But if you’re a busy parent hoping to off-load some kids’ clothes and make some extra money, it’s not worth it.

Both times I’ve tried this, I’ve set up complete profiles, taken lots of pics of each item, created good descriptions, and priced things VERY low. I’ve made a few sales, but for pennies each time.

Case in point: I sold a pair of my son’s pants for $7. After Kidizen’s fee, that leaves me with $5.66. After $4.50 to mail it, I hardly made enough money to cover the gas I used taking it to the P.O.

SO MANY people put items in their cart, because the app then sends the seller a notification asking if you want to offer a discount. When I don’t (because, see the math above), they just bail. I get tons of notifications about people putting things in their carts, but never actually buying.

If you’re bored and you want to sit around commenting and tagging and networking, maybe this will work for you. If not, don’t waste your time.

### 1/5 — Poor Service

*2019-09-03, version 10.4.3*

I had my first customer service interaction with kidizen and their service is horrific. I returned an item to a buyer and kidizen said they needed to issue the label and send directly to the buyer. I asked them to confirm the address they’d use as I recently moved and wanted to make sure my account was updated. Zero response. A week later they let me know it had been marked as delivered to the wrong address and issued the buyer a refund. I’ve followed up with them a few times asking how this happened and only have received a generic “we have your request and will get back to you” reply, it has been over a week. I enjoy selling on the app as it’s user friendly, but since their customer service is so poor and they’ve demonstrated they do not care to address issues, I will be looking to sell elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Customer Support is Horrible!

*2019-05-22, version 9.14*

I emailed customer service for help pertaining to a sale. They emailed me back good luck with no help and it was the most general response then I emailed back saying thanks (sarcastic) then she tried to help, and I said no thanks I needed the help yesterday that you could’ve helped then at that time and she literally could care less. Her name is Margaret Donahue I’m pretty sure she runs customer support. I finally emailed back and asked her to quit emailing me because she didn’t want to help me when I needed the help so thanks Kidizen. Horrible Customer Service!!! Just horrible.

I also wanted to add this...the creators of this company have created a marketplace for women so they can market their own closets and boutiques to all these women and basically SELL THEIR OWN CLOSETS...Kidizen only features closets of the creators of this app. They do not feature or share others women’s closets. I checked everyday to see who they featured and it was a closet from each different company creator ... talk about community support (eye roll) so basically Kidizen is just a ploy so the company creators can market their own closet to masses of women. Check out who they feature everyday on the app if you don’t believe me.

### 1/5 — Account disabled

*2018-09-10, version 9.1*

My account was disabled because of an unhappy buyer. I had a woman purchase and add on item for $3. ( An add on item must be purchased with another item, not alone). I refunded her money and apologized for the confusion, to which she replied that I was “false advertising” (which in fact, I wasn’t, she had not taken the time to read the description before purchasing). She reported my shop to Kidizen, to which they decided to shut down my shop completely so that I may not sell or buy anything from Kidizen. After emailing them, I received an email saying they will get back to me in one business day about the issue, it has been about a week and I have heard NOTHING. I am losing time and money because of this and will recommend anyone to use Mercari to shop instead of Kidizen. This is ridiculous. Hopefully leaving this review will get them to reply to my emails and fix things.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 5 star customer service

*2023-05-02*

I've been selling on the Kidizen app for many years. While I sell stuff on multiple platforms it has always been my go to for baby and children items. I love that payment from sales are released as soon as package is tracking, no waiting. Above all other reselling sites, Kidizen hands down has the best customer service. I have only needed to contact them a few times, but I'm always impressed with how quick they respond and handle things. Definitely sets them apart! Highly recommend coming from myself as both a seller and buyer.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your wonderful review! We're so happy to hear that you enjoy buying and selling on Kidizen!

### 5/5 — Love!

*2022-12-17, version 16.0*

Love using this app to buy and sell for my two toddlers! Everything is streamlined for both buying and selling. I can save searches under each child’s name to easily search for items that will fit them. As a seller, I can print shipping labels directly from the app, and Kidizen automatically sends the buyer a notice with tracking info. Love this app! Thanks Kidizen!

### 5/5 — App vs website

*2022-12-09, version 16.0*

I like selling my finds on this app but the website lacks. You can only have free shipping on the website and have to edit it on the app to add shipping costs. You can’t see alerts on the website which also doesn’t make sense. I have to use my phone to see when people add my items in order to make them an offer.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2022-04-07, version 11.3*

As far as the app goes, it’s really easy to use and self explanatory. I’ve been selling items, shipping with no problem, buying items, and enjoying some community. The staff on the other hand are iffy, and it’s hard to figure out how to even get in touch with anyone if you do have a problem! Also a lot of out of app requirements for rewards and promos which ruins the point for people like me who are on this BECAUSE we are not on FB, Insta, etc.

### 5/5 — BEST app for gently used kids clothing!

*2021-08-23, version 10.39*

i absolutely LOVE this app. i buy 90% of my kids' clothing & shoes from here! i have a 2 year old & a 9 year old, both boys that are constantly growing& in need of bigger clothes & shoes every few months. this app saves me so much money, time & all the stress that comes with going shopping with 2 kids. not to mention it's been such a blessing during this crazy pandemic to not have to drive over an hour to the city to shop for clothes & have to fear the crowding of people & the potential exposure to covid. i recommend kidizen to all my mom friends and they all love it too! all the people who have shops on the app ship your items very promptly, are very friendly, quick to respond& super helpful! ive had nothing but good experiences with kidizen & i look forward to many many more! 💜

### 5/5 — Excellent costumer resolution for wrongly labeled item

*2021-05-04, version 10.34*

99% positive experience from all the lovely sellers, however had one incident. The Kidizen support staff helped resolve a conflict when I purchased an item that was incorrectly labeled in size. The seller was not wanting to refund me even though I returned the item. Kidizen refunded my purchase, which was excellent in helping me feel protected interacting with a large group of independent sellers.

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2021-02-15, version 10.32*

I have been selling and buying kids’ clothes on Kidizen for 5+ years. It has been by far the best platform to sell on. Super easy to list items and ship via their shipping labels. They offer a program called the Style Scout program for people who would like someone else to sell for them. Customer support has always resolved any issues quickly and fairly. My favorite aspect is the community of moms and friendships I have made. No other platform encourages the community of users like Kidizen. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Fabulous app & community

*2021-02-15, version 10.32*

I’ve been using Kidizen for over five years now and absolutely love it! The selection is almost exhaustive and I can find items that can’t be found elsewhere. Customer service is like none other - so helpful! I am so grateful to have found this great app that provides so much more than a shopping experience! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — Organizing

*2020-09-09, version 10.23*

I’d love to see some organizational changes on our end of selling & viewing. Really need to be able to do this in our shops for our own personal shopping & I think it would boost sales. Like in our faves where we could view all shoes or whatever so we could see what we might want to purchase without having to go through maybe a 100 or more faves, Can you see it??? Other than that I love the app & have sold & purchased🥰

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-02-10, version 10.10.1*

I started selling and buying kids’ clothes on Kidizen five years ago and have only had positive experiences and results. The app is easy to use and I love all the useful filters for searching for items. I was worried it would be a hassle to sell clothes but it is actually really easy to do—just take photos, add a good description, and set your price. I love that the app allows you to pay the shipping fees and package at home.
