## What is KidneyBite?

KidneyBite helps you understand what’s on your plate when you live with chronic kidney disease.

Snap a photo of your meal. KidneyBite identifies foods, estimates portion sizes, and shows you four kidney-relevant nutrients:

• Phosphorus
• Potassium
• Sodium
• Protein

Every estimate is personalized to your CKD stage (1 through 5, plus dialysis), so the score you see reflects your daily targets instead of generic nutrition guidelines.

WHY PHOSPHORUS

Phosphorus is one of the hardest nutrients for kidney patients to track because it rarely appears clearly on food labels.

KidneyBite uses phosphorus data from the USDA FoodData Central database — a trusted public nutrition database — and surfaces it for every meal you scan.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Take a photo of your meal.
2. AI identifies foods and estimates portions.
3. See your KidneyBite Score with a Low, Moderate, or High caution estimate personalized to your CKD stage.
4. Tap Log Meal to add it to your daily totals.
