## What is KidneyWatch?

You just got your lab results back. Your phosphorus is high. But phosphorus isn't even on the nutrition label. How are you supposed to track what you can't see?

Generic nutrition apps track calories. They can't spot hidden phosphate additives in your deli meat. They can't tell you the banana in your smoothie just pushed you over your daily potassium limit.

KidneyWatch was built for this.

SCAN ANY FOOD, GET CONDITION-SPECIFIC FLAGS
Point your camera at a meal, a label, or a barcode. KidneyWatch flags potassium, phosphorus, sodium, and protein against your daily limits using data from trustworthy sources.

PHOSPHORUS DETECTIVE
Phosphorus is the hardest nutrient to track in CKD. It's not required on labels, it hides in additives, and not all phosphorus is absorbed equally. KidneyWatch scans ingredients for 16 categories of hidden phosphate additives, adjusts for bioavailability (plant ~30% absorbed vs. additives ~95%), applies category-specific P:protein ratios, and flags missing data when the numbers don't add up.

LIMITS SET TO YOUR STAGE
Enter your CKD stage, body weight, and comorbidities. KidneyWatch calculates your limits from NKF KDOQI and KDIGO guidelines. Every flag links to the guideline it's based on. Tap any citation to check our work.

DAILY DIARY WITH SWAP SUGGESTIONS
Log meals and see where you stand. Color-coded bars track the four nutrients that matter most in kidney conditions. When your phosphorus runs high, KidneyWatch suggests lower-P swaps backed by NKF and DaVita guidelines.

YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
No account required. Your food diary and health information never leave your device.

Whether you're adjusting to a renal diet or helping a family member navigate what to eat, KidneyWatch gives you what you need.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-10

Fixed an issue that could cause some subscribers to see the purchase screen again after reinstalling or switching devices. Your subscription now stays active as expected.

Adjusted the timing of the rating prompt. It now appears after logging food on three separate days instead of after three total entries, so it better reflects ongoing use.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-05

No release notes.
