It is difficult to navigate, buggy, laggy, and lacks features. I used to be able to message their teachers through the previous app, but we can no longer do this through KidReports. It goes to the director of the daycare and only the director. Seeing their “daily activities” is setup poorly and it is hard to see when and what they did, how much they ate, etc. I can’t imagine this to be a good app for anyone with younger children/babies that need intake and output to be tracked more regularly. Terrible. Wish we could switch back. ### 1/5 — Impossible to use *2020-09-11, version 2.12.10* I would rate it 0 star if It was possible. I have an iPhone 5S and the display is horrible. Very hard to read any information and to know where I am at. The drop off information is a good idea but the notes I write do not seem to be saved anywhere and on the contrary the info I clear from the input screen keeps showing on the saved record. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2020-09-09, version 2.12.10* I never writ reviews but this app is just terrible! I have logged in once and couldn’t update my profile to change the password. I download the app and receive notifications but I couldn’t login to read the whole thing. I have tried to contact support several times and no one has gotten back to me yet to fix the issue. This app is so unnecessary. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2020-08-17, version 2.12.10* I have been unable to use the app or the website for several weeks. It usually won’t allow me to log in - even though the password is correct. I even tried clicking the “forgot password” link but it never sent me a message to change the password. On the rare occasion it does log me in it doesn’t have any of my kids listed so I can’t get reports or send messages. ### 1/5 — Can’t Log In *2020-08-15, version 2.12.10* This is the worst app. Something needs to change. I can’t even log in to view my child’s day. The page just looks like it’s loading and then doesn’t log in and goes back to the credentials page. I know my credentials are correct because when I type different ones it will say “invalid login.” Ridiculous. Get it together. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2020-08-05, version 2.12.10* This app used to work fairly well (still was kind of clunky, but at least it worked). There is a new update and now I can’t even log in. The screen to log in just goes nowhere. I tried different passwords and when I use those it tells me “invalid login credentials,” so I KNOW I’m using the correct info when the screen goes no where. So frustrated since I really rely on this for communication with the teachers since Covid and not being able to enter the building. Please fix this!!!!! ### 1/5 — Worse and worse *2020-07-28, version 2.12.10* This app seems to get aggressively worse with every update. Now I get a random grey bar down the entire right side, intermittently. The app is slow. The photos don’t load properly, often stretched or squeezes instead of maintaining aspect ratio. Now after the latest update, the photos are tiny. I have to download every photo to look at it properly. Very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Poor design. Frustrating for a mom! *2020-07-28, version 2.12.10* The design for this app is extremely poor. I am unable to sign in and I have attempted to reset my password multiple times. The “reset password” email never sends. The app does not allow me to sign in and remain signed it which is also frustrating. Basically, this app has zero functionality and there’s nothing I can do about it. This is EXTREMELY frustrating for a mom that wants to check in on her baby while he is at daycare. ### 1/5 — Been broken for a week now... *2020-07-23, version 2.12.10* They broke something on the server-side and nothing is working in the app. activities added do not submit, or they submit and disappear... only to show up in alert emails hours later but never in the app. This company needs to replace whatever management who allowed this awful app and service infrastructure to exist as-is and hire mgt, developers, and IT architects that better understand User Experience (UX) design concepts and modern DevOps & QA/QC principles. ### 1/5 — No info/ not Loading *2020-07-22, version 2.12.9* It has been 3 days since issues have been going on. I am not getting the updates & my daycare isn’t able to submit updates! It’s been 3 days since you have been made aware of this issue and yet here we are! Look at your reviews, something is clearly WRONG! FIX IT!!! ### 1/5 — Boymom123 *2020-07-20, version 2.12.9* This app was good until the update done in Spring 2020. Since then, the activities page does not update itself. I have to toggle to the message page, then toggle back to the activities for it to update. I updated this app last night and now it won’t show any activities logged, but his teacher says they are putting it In Today. Very frustrated and discouraged as this is now my main means of communication with my baby’s daycare since we can’t go inside and talk. Get it fixed please!!! ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2020-06-20, version 2.12.8* This app is just one of the worst apps I’ve ever seen. Terrible UI, bugs everywhere, no one in their right mind would choose it except for the fact that it gets shoved down our throats by the daycare. I guess we should blame the school for picking such a terrible system. Parents and teachers hate it. I am developer and I use this app as an example of what NOT to do when I am talking to my peers about app development. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — From a teacher and parent *2024-02-22* As a teacher, I already hated this app. As a new parent, I hate it even more. The app glitches constantly. Parents constantly complain thst we aren't logging things because it's not going through to them but we are logging it and it shows on the teacher side. Today I received a picture of my daughter FROM YESTERDAY. I had seen the picture was sent from the teacher side but oy wasn't showing when I checked my personal account. And then all of a sudden today at 5pm(photot was posted at 7:30am the previous morning) it came through. How sad. "The number one app for real time updates" is an absolute lie. I can't wait to switch apps when the school does it in a couple months here. ### 1/5 — Useless App *2023-06-19* This app is terrible! My daughter started daycare almost a month ago and this app hasn’t been working at all!!! I’m highly upset with the creator of this stupid app as well as the center for having such a useless app. I have anxiety really bad and the fact that I can’t see anything or receive updates regarding my daughter is horrible. I really wish the center would find another app that’s more effective and useful. Unfortunately, the parents have been told they don’t know when the app will be back up and running! 😡😡 If I could give this app zero stars, I would! This app makes me want to enroll my daughter somewhere else that doesn’t utilize this app! ### 1/5 — Horrible app, no notifications *2021-08-25, version 2.16.0* This app is horrible. I have to get updates over email. The design of the app is unintuitive and rarely works. It seems like everyone is having the same problems. I will be speaking with the school to express my displeasure and suggest they use of one the other apps that actually work as intended. ### 1/5 — From a teachers point of view. *2021-07-25, version 2.14.1* I work as a child care teacher at a school that uses this app, and it beyond my least favorite part of work. It constantly crashes, it never works outside, and have the time it doesn’t register anything we input until hours after. The parents are constantly complaining about a miss sent picture that never really sent. There’s also the fact that we can’t send videos longer than 20 seconds to parents without the whole app breaking. By far the worst app I have ever had the displeasure of using. If I could give negative stars I would. ### 1/5 — Worst app! *2021-05-06, version 2.12.19* I change my son school and I haven’t been able to have access to the new schools daily reports. Kid reports has no costumer services for parents. I called and I’m told they are not allowed to talk to parents. We are the reason your app still exist so you should be able to communicate with us. I have been annoying my sons daycare as if they didn’t have better things to do about helping me figuring out this issue. I’ve sent 2 emails kindly explaining the situation and I keep getting the same answer; reason I type this review!!!! Worst app ever ! ### 1/5 — Can’t send long videos *2021-04-01, version 2.12.18* I work at a preschool and with the new update my fellow coworkers and myself can’t send videos over 9 seconds of our lesson to the children’s parents. Our children’s parents want to see what they are learning. So if you have a one minute video you’re going to have to divide it into 7 separate videos!!! ### 1/5 — Horrible App! *2021-03-24, version 2.12.17* It NEVER works and no one does anything to fix it. I’ve sent so many emails and asked numerous questions about the media but don’t get a response. The one time someone responded they ignored my issue and said to submit my issue through the app like I already did! This app is useless. FIX THE MEDIA! FIX THE APP! Daycares need to stop using this app to keep track of our children! ### 1/5 — Not getting updates *2021-02-22, version 2.12.16* Since the most recent iOS update this app has lost total usefulness. I no longer receive updates throughout the day and have no idea what’s going on with my child. I attempted to contact support and was told all app support has to be directed to my childcare provider. My provider tried to find an answer and was essentially told the app isn’t updated to work with current iOS. That was over a week ago and KidReports still doesn’t seem capable of functioning as designed. I hope my daycare switched providers SOON ### 1/5 — Awful *2021-02-09, version 2.12.16* I’m so disappointed my child’s daycare continues to use this app. It rarely works without glitches. Since the Jan 2021 update I no longer get any notifications and it works less often than it doesn’t when I open it. Today (2/9/21) it hasn’t worked at all. Error messages constantly. This isn’t the first day in recent weeks I haven’t been able to access my child’s information or activity for an entire day. There is literally no reason to have this app if it won’t work. There are months/years worth of reviews reflecting the same issues so I have to wonder why the developers of this app even bother keeping it active since it appears there is no true intention in investing what is needed to make this consistently functional. I intend to make my wishes known to my child’s school and their parent company that use of this app is not acceptable and I’d like them to consider finding another. ### 1/5 — Poor Design *2020-11-01, version 2.12.14* I love the functionality that this app tries to provide (i.e. being able to check in on my son while he’s at daycare). But that’s where the fun stops. This app has a poor design at best and doesn’t provide basic functionality that apps in the last decade provide. Please update the design. I’m a mobile developer and even junior level devs can do better than this. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great App *2021-01-25, version 2.12.16* Not sure why it is poorly rated. I have had absolutely no issues with it since my daughter started at this day care. This is a great app where you can see the educational activities, meals, naptimes, potty training and pictures of your kids throughout the day. This was not offered at her previous daycare, so it brings me peace of mind that I know what my child is doing. ### 5/5 — Will this app ever work? *2020-07-22, version 2.12.9* This is the worst app I have ever used. It’s so full of bugs and since our daycare switched from Tadpoles its been nothing but BS. It hasn’t worked in about a week. With not being allowed in the building because of Corona this type of app is essential to daycare’s relationships with parents. Seriously disappointed that our daycare uses this crappy app. We may as well not have one at all. ### 5/5 — Recent Updates Make App Unusable *2020-06-22, version 2.12.8* Recent updates are garbage. Messaging between parents and teachers was removed and no more refresh button within the app. I have to close it and reopen to see any update. Messaging is essential since parents aren’t allowed in classrooms to talk to teachers due to COVID19. This takes away all communication between parents and teachers. ### 4/5 — Can be better if few things address *2021-03-08, version 2.12.17* I think this app has good core functions but just user Interface needs to be friendly and for sure should be easy to use and lot of performance issues needs to be addressed. Whenever I wish to see new activity and I need to go back and forth so that I can see updated activity. All issues I believe can be addressed easily. Keep up good work. You can do it. ### 4/5 — New update, can’t create message *2020-06-16, version 2.12.7* With the new update I’m not able to start a new message to my child’s teachers or director. The button to do so is completely gone! Otherwise I like being notified of things as they happen and enjoy seeing how her day is going. ### 3/5 — Gets the job done but newest update needs work! *2020-04-22, version 2.12.0* Gets the job done but newest update needs work! I echo a previous review that the newest update has me giving the messaging part of the app a NEGATIVE star review. Cannot see messages as they are overlapped in the inbox and when you can click on an individual message, one line of the message shows and is missing the rest of the content. Please fix this as it is essential for the purpose of the app! Thank you! **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We also appreciate your patience as we worked through a few unexpected issues. Procare has scheduled a fix that will go out tonight. This software update addresses the Messaging feature, along with how photos and videos are displayed. Please ensure that you update your settings to automatically update your app so that you make the most out of this update right away. Thank you again for providing actionable feedback. ### 2/5 — Archaic and clunky *2021-01-11, version 2.12.14* This app is so far behind others. My daycare uses it so I have to or I’d delete it. Photos show up skewed and out of aspect and if you want to download any it is very slow and must be done individually. You can’t reply to a reply in the messages section. I can tell it’s hard for the teachers to use it too. It is overall unpleasant to use and seems like it was made to barely function then abandoned, I sincerely hope there are some significant updates and improvements coming. I am going to recommend another app to my daycare chain. ### 2/5 — App not working after update *2020-07-22, version 2.12.9* I absolutely loved this app for my daughter but after the most recent update it is no longer working. I’m receiving email notifications with events and pictures/videos but the app itself will not load any new info and I’m unable to add drop off information. Hoping they will address the issue soon so I can adjust my rating. ### 2/5 — Needs work and updates *2020-07-21, version 2.12.9* In theory this app would be wonderful for a parent to be able to keep tabs and updates on her child while working, however this app doesn’t save information and doesn’t work half the time and then makes me as a parent concerned and take time from work to call the daycare and see what’s going on. Also will not let you save videos that the teachers send to you from this app on your phone ### 2/5 — Difficulty log-in *2020-05-13, version 2.12.4* Having difficulty logging on app or website. Significant irritation with the clumsiness of the update for 1 month pictures have been more difficult to load. Messages are unable to read in full unless I hit reply and scroll down.
