## What is Kids Call Home?

Kids Call Home is the official iOS app for safe, family-only video calling and messaging that gives kids a simple way to stay connected with their parents, grandparents, family, and other trusted caregivers — without needing a phone, SIM card, or social media.

Designed for families in all their forms, Kids Call Home lets children video call, audio call, message, and send voice notes to the people who matter most. Whether everyone lives under one roof, across town, between two homes, or on opposite sides of the world, kids have their own easy way to stay connected while parents stay in control.

Why families choose Kids Call Home

• Safe video calls and messaging for kids — Children can call and message trusted, parent-approved family members and caregivers. No public profiles, no strangers, and no random friend requests.

• Stay connected throughout the day — Kids can make video or audio calls, send messages, and leave voice notes. From a quick hello after school to sharing something about their day or saying goodnight, staying connected doesn’t always require a full video call.

• No phone or SIM required — Install Kids Call Home on an iPad, iPhone, or shared family device connected to Wi-Fi and give your child their own simple way to call and message family.

• Simple, kid-friendly design — Big buttons, familiar faces, and a child-friendly interface make it easy for younger kids to reach family without needing to read, remember phone numbers, or navigate complicated apps.

• Parents stay in control — Parents manage who their child can communicate with. Kids can’t search for strangers or add new people themselves.

• Great for grandparents and extended family — Give grandparents and other trusted family members an easy way to stay part of everyday life, even when they don’t live nearby.

• Made for families across distances — Whether a parent works away, travels regularly, lives in another city or country, or family members simply don’t see each other every day, Kids Call Home helps make staying connected part of everyday life.

• Works between two homes — For separated, divorced, shared-custody, and co-parenting families, children have a consistent way to reach the people they love wherever they’re staying.

Perfect for families who want

• A simple way for kids to call or message Mom, Dad, grandparents, and other trusted family members

• Kids to be able to reach their parents directly when they’re at home, with family, or away from Mom or Dad
• Long-distance or traveling parents to stay part of daily family life
• Better communication between homes for separated, divorced, shared-custody, or co-parenting families
• Simple, trusted communication across blended and extended families

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2026-09-01*

The app does not work at all. Messaging platform is glitchy and the video calls do not connect. Also it was not disclosed that it was subscription based until after I was poking around in the settings.

### 5/5 — texting different languages worked! hooray!

**Developer response:** Thank you! We’re really glad the different-language messaging is working well for you. Making it easier for families to stay connected is exactly what we built Kids Call Home for. We really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!
