### 4/5 — Cute little app

*2014-02-27, version 1.6*

I like the multiple little short stories & my son enjoyed guessing the multiple comprehension questions at the end because it made a noise & gave him a little sound reward. I wish the story was maybe 2 short pages instead of 1, but it's fine.

### 4/5 — Great

*2012-09-17*

Kept my 2 x 7yr olds interested - whereas homework doesn't! Will definitely get the level 2 when we've finished this one.

### 5/5 — Wonderful addition!

*2012-03-07, version 1.1*

I have been using this with my third grade students that are reading at a lower level. It has been a wonderful addition to our curriculum. They really enjoy the stories and have managed to pick up some useful information along the way. I love that it has a progress report to let me know if they understood what they read. One additional thing I would like to see is an email option so that I can easily share my student's progress with their parents.

### 4/5 — Reading comprehension

*2012-02-10, version 1.0*

Great app, would be fantastic if reading comprehension apps continued in level grades with same format - please, please, please! Great for kids having difficulty or excelling to pick level of comfort & accomplishment & move up!! This would be a 5 if levels increased!!

### 4/5 — Thank you!

*2012-02-04*

Thank you! This App made my son WANT to read, I told him he had to do one exercise to begin with, but he wanted to do more!
Only flaw is that sometimes after you finish an exercise (nearly every second time) instead of playing the winning animation the app crashes and closes instead, other than that, it's great!

### 5/5 — Excellent resource!

*2012-01-23*

This is exactly the type of reading comprehension app I've been looking for. I work with an autistic child that can read but it is very difficult to assess his comprehension. The simple multiple choice questions will be easy for him to work with. I'm hoping we will soon see Level 2 of this app.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2012-01-23, version 1.0*

This is a great app for early elementary children.

### 5/5 — Great App. A must have.

*2012-01-23, version 1.0*

My six year old son started the App without me having to ask. He loves it and asked for more. This is great App.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on new iOS 11

*2017-11-29, version 1.6*

Doesn’t work

**Developer response:** An update has been released addressing iOS 11 compatibilities.

### 1/5 — doesn't work ?

*2014-12-29, version 1.6*

the app doesnt work on ios 8, how can I get a refund?

### 1/5 — The Worse

*2012-09-20, version 1.4*

Worse reading comp. app out.. My child then I answer with the correct answer and the game replies "sorry". It's stating I got the wrong answer.. So we answer all the answer in the same book and apparently there is no right answer!! Never buying anything from these developers!! Wish I could have my money back!

### 1/5 — It's great but

*2012-02-26, version 1.1*

It's a good app but for the price I should be able to go to level 2 and make the reading much more advance rather then just do the same one over n over. Plz improve the app. But it a fret app

### 2/5 — Crashing

*2013-10-06, version 1.5*

App keeps crashing after answering questions. This is a great app for special needs students if it was not crashing.

### 2/5 — Almost complete

*2012-10-10, version 1.5*

The app is stable and the GUI is intuitive. All great, BUT...

The problem is the stories are so short, it feels like there is no content. A 6 or 7 year old can read one of the "books" in way less than 5 minutes. I'd like the story to be long enough to hold the child's attention for 15-20 minutes. This review applies to this version and the level 2 version.

If the stories ever get longer, this app would be an easy 5 stars.

### 3/5 — Reading Comprehension Level 1 and 2

*2014-10-29, version 1.6*

I like the app but, the font is small and cannot be enlarged; the zoom feature of the iPad does not address the problem. When reading, I think the reader needs to have an increase font size with spacing, Please think about addessing this ASAP.

### 3/5 — Great for literal comp

*2013-06-18*

This is a fantastic app for literal or "in the text" comprehension. as a teacher, I would really like to see some prediction and inferential questions as this is where so many students struggle.

### 3/5 — Nice program but ...

*2012-01-22*

Noticed a few spelling errors, not a positive trait for a learning program.

### 4/5 — Good but how can I access further levels?

*2020-12-01*

This has been good for my 8 year old. He has completed Level 1 but can’t see how to access Level 2. For the money, I expected more than 20 reading scenarios.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2019-12-10, version 1.8*

I just introduced this app to my student with autism. Finding stories that interest him enough to read is a challenge. He LOVES the monkey dancing at the end and will open the app to read the different passages so he can answer the questions. You have to answer all 5 questions correctly the first time in order to see the monkey dance at the end. I love that you can look back to the passage to find the answer and that you can hide the passage to further work on comprehension. Would like to see different monkeys or animals and dances foe different stories, however, my student doesn’t seem to mind at all. 😃

### 5/5 — Really teaches the skill

*2013-04-20, version 1.5*

This app will seem too simple for typical students, but it has been perfect for my son with autism. The comprehension questions are simple and concrete enough that he has learned to refer to the text to answer them. For him, this is huge!!!

### 5/5 — Thank You!

*2013-03-31, version 1.5*

My son doesn't like reading but he has
enjoyed using this app. He especially likes the stories about animals and space. Thank you for making reading enjoyable for my son. We are looking forward to the next level.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2013-02-26, version 1.5*

This app is great. My elementary students love it. I highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — Comprehension

*2012-10-18*

This is a brilliant app. Can't wait for harder ones for my more capable students

### 5/5 — Great App Need More Levels

*2012-09-10, version 1.4*

My grandson is in 1st grade and he loves this app and is looking forward to more levels. He is having trouble in school with comprehension of stories this is great practice. Hopefully you are working on more levels!

### 5/5 — Super app!

*2012-09-09, version 1.4*

My son and I love this app! It has him really excited about reading! I'm hoping for a level 3 and four.

### 5/5 — great app

*2012-07-30, version 1.3*

Just what I've been looking for! the Q and A's give the reader instant feedback. I hope they will also make some fiction stories with a few more pages (3 pages plus test would be perfect).

### 5/5 — Great app.

*2012-05-17, version 1.1*

Just starting to buy apps for my classroom. I love that Angela had a video to see one of the books and the questions that follow. Great way to really see if it would be useful before you buy! Thanks Angela!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2012-05-06, version 1.1*

I got this for my kg kid. It lets him read and answer questions. About 4 questions per story. Works great, wish it had more stories. Good deal for the price.
