For example, if you are listening to the Rebel Girls podcast and you want to search for an episode about Olivia Rodrigo or Ann Frank or something. Toodles!!! They love exploring all the podcasts and listening to what they want. And I love knowing they are safe! The best kind of “screentime” hack. However, the KidsPod app contains programming that promotes alphabet soup agendas. This is extremely disappointing! ### 1/5 — Constant Crashes *2025-03-10, version 1.1.1* App is near unusable often. While my son loves using this app, it frequently crashes when trying to choose something to listen to. Or when trying to open the app. Or just while listening even. We have uninstalled and reinstalled with little difference long term. I can’t imagine paying for this service when the app can’t even function. Also really disgusted that the app is promoting a company like chik-fil-a and their sneaky media attempts. My son was so upset when he realized who was producing the new podcast he heard about. ### 2/5 — Sooooo slow and crashes *2025-11-26, version 1.2.1* I want to love this. I have been desperate for a kid safe podcatcher. Sadly, it’s very slow and crashes often on my iPhone and is practically unusable on my child’s mp3 player (installed via android APK). I do not like the drawing feature, as I’m using this for helping my child sleep in a shared room. I’ve locked the mp3 player down to exclude everything “fun” except this app and Spotify kids. Instead of just listening to the podcasts and falling asleep my kid is fooling around drawing. ### 2/5 — Great content, but the app needs serious improvements *2025-08-07, version 1.2.0* The content and podcasts are excellent, but the app itself feels outdated. It doesn’t remember which episode you last listened to, and the player often loads the wrong (previous) episode. For 2025, this level of functionality is disappointing. The user experience needs a serious update to match the quality of the content. ### 2/5 — Unusable on my daughters tablet *2024-10-17, version 1.1.1* App will prompt you to set up a profile before it can be used. During this process, we reached a screen wherein an avatar is chosen. There is no function to promote from this screen thereby there is no opportunity to finish creating the profile. App does not become available for use and a lot of time has been wasted ### 3/5 — Great app, needs some more features *2026-08-19, version 1.2.1* We love this app is curated with all safe kids podcasts, there’s a fantastic range! We don’t love that it doesn’t keep track of the episode you’re up to and will continually reset back to episode 1 of a series. It also doesn’t appear to label if an episode has been listened to, or how far through you are.
