### 4/5 — Great but the calendar won’t update past 5 months in the past :(

*2026-08-06*

The app is phenomenal in a sense it really helps you stay organized but updating is sometimes an issue

**Developer response:** Thank you — “phenomenal” made our day.

We'd like to fix this for you. Email hello@kidtime.app and tell us what you're seeing, and we'll look into your account directly.

### 2/5 — Paid the subscription to the app to unlock viewing and editing future months

*2026-05-22*

Paid the subscription to the app the unlock viewing and editing of future months which I was able to do and see but my coparent does not have the ability to see the future months like I can. What’s the point of paying to have a shared calendar when only one parent can see it??

**Developer response:** Totally understand the frustration, and it deserves a straight answer: each parent has their own subscription by design. We built it that way so no one is ever dependent on their co-parent for access (a promise that matters in co-parenting), and so we can keep the price lower for each parent instead of charging one person double. Everything you both add to the calendar is always shared — the subscription just unlocks each person's own extended view. If anything isn't working the way it should beyond that, message us through Support in the app and we'll dig in.

### 3/5 — Difficult setup

*2026-03-22*

I downloaded this to track parenting time on s flexible schedule, and this was not easy to set up. Ultimately, I deleted it after trying multiple settings and the dates not being recorded correctly, or transposed with no option to fix other than starting over from the beginning. More complex than necessary IMO.

**Developer response:** This one stung because you were right. Setting up a flexible schedule was harder than it should have been, and "start over from the beginning" is exactly the trap we've worked to remove. Since your review we've rebuilt schedule setup — you can edit dates directly instead of redoing everything, and there's a simpler month-by-month editor for irregular schedules. If you're willing to update the app and give it another look, we'd love to know if it holds up for your situation.

### 3/5 — Not the best

*2026-03-05*

I wouldn’t say this is the best app out there. I’ll put parenting times and custody stuff and it keeps switching. The download only comes in an excel with dates and times sent. Better, more user friendly options out there. This app is always loading, sometimes leaves notifications even after I’ve read it.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the honest list — this is the kind of review we actually use. A lot has shipped since March: exports now come as clean, court-ready PDF records instead of just the Excel file, and we've done real work on schedule stability so parenting time stays where you put it. Notifications clearing late is on our radar too. Update to the latest version to pick all of that up, and if the switching issue ever comes back, message us through Support in the app — we take those seriously.

### 2/5 — Not very intuitive

*2026-02-17*

As an app developer myself, I’ll say this app has a great layout and looks very nice compared to many other apps like this. However creating and maintaining the calendar is the opposite. It’s unclear how to make time swaps make sense and adding a one time change for a defined period of time ends up changing the whole calendar. It’s quite frustrating. I really wanted this to be the app that worked well, because it does look very nice.

**Developer response:** Hey! Thanks you for trying Kidtime, and I am glad you enjoy the design. The power of Kidtime is the ultimate flexibility when creating a custody schedule. Each event can be marked as custody handoff, and by handing off the child the other handoff events update accordingly. There also is an option to schedule "parenting time". Parenting time is simply two custody handoffs created at the same time. This feature is when you want to swap the child, and have an anticipated return. This feature seems like exactly what you are looking for.

### 1/5 — Awful update

*2026-01-05, version 2.0.1*

It was so easy to use in 2025 and I do not recommend the new update. It’s glitchy, hard to schedule and very confusing. I wish I would not have signed up for a year.

### 1/5 — Recent update

*2026-01-04, version 2.0.0*

App was great before the update. The update made the app confusing and difficult to use and the update lost a lot of our previous data. We had been using the app previously without issue for a year and a half.

### 2/5 — Update took a step back

*2026-01-02*

It WAS so good, then they updated and changed too many things, now it’s so unclear and not easy to use, cannot track time anymore. Time to find a new app

**Developer response:** Hey! Our intention was deliver the same simple experience for coparents that loved the first version of Kidtime while also adding additional features that coparents have requested. Initally we had a few issues, and have since made many updates to ensure our customers get what they expect from Kidtime. Please try the latest version of the app, and contact support if you have any issues. We are happy to help.

### 2/5 — Not reliable

*2026-01-01*

I have had this app change the time or change the colors of the parents to look like my ex had more time because I changed us. It is not reliable or worth the money. It also give crazy percentage that are not accurate

### 1/5 — App

*2026-01-01, version 2.0.0*

The app has never been good but this update is absolutely terrible. All my data is gone. Sure it’ll “export” but it’s gone from the app. The schedule for the next year? Gone. Notes? Gone. And the ability to create another? Forget it. All options are grayed out? WHY?!

### 1/5 — App update caused so many issues

*2026-01-01*

This app was so easy and helpful and then they updated and it completely altered all my calendars, adding in new schedules has become almost impossible and it is so inconvenient and time consuming to try and figure it out I will probably end up just deleting the entire app at this point. Why change the input method that worked fine?

### 1/5 — The update is awful

*2026-01-01*

I was using this app for about two years and it was just a very simple way to figure out which parent had our child when. I did not want to share this with the coparent. I just wanted to keep track of the data for myself. The coparent has a very nonconventional schedule. Which makes our schedule in general, not an easy one to track. It used to be that you could very easily say this parent has the kid from X time to X time. But with the new update, it's just automatically saying the switch happens at a certain time and it completely messed up by 2025 Callender. And now I'm trying to delete everything and go back, but even with that it'll go back to 2024 and that might mess that up and now I'm just beyond frustrated. I paid back in November and I don't want this at all. I just want a refund. Because now this app is almost unusable and there's no point in having it.

### 2/5 — Don’t fix what isn’t broken

*2026-01-01*

I enjoyed the simplicity of this app…until the update went through. The schedule that was imported is all wrong and when I go to edit, it either defaults all of the future dates to just me or just the other parent.

### 1/5 — Sloppy

*2025-12-31, version 2.0.0*

When they update their app, it clears out all of the old scheduling data you put into the calendar, forcing you to redo everything manually. They shouldn’t push complexity onto their users. They should figure out a way to transfer the data seamlessly so I don’t have to re-create.

### 2/5 — New update is terrible

*2025-12-31*

I have been using this app for months and have loved it but this recent update has been awful. I lost all my note and information that was previously stored and cannot get it back. It is very hard to edit pickups and their times.

### 1/5 — Update SUCKS!

*2025-12-31, version 2.0.0*

I hate when he update. I loved the app. Very easy and clear to use. But the update sucks because one it won’t let me put in a custom parenting plan. And two does not make sense when I try and update what the parenting time actually looked like… Because our parenting time is not a traditional one and I like to keep track to see how much time is spent with our child. So mad I’ve already paid for the app at this point.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Updates

*2026-02-01, version 2.0.7*

With every single update it gets worse. I want my money back. The original setup was perfect… whyyyy can’t we return to that???

### 1/5 — Bad update

*2026-01-28, version 2.0.7*

I’ve had nothing but trouble trying to navigate this app and now with the update I’m missing information from the beginning of November to now.

### 1/5 — dont download this app

*2026-01-19, version 2.0.5*

when i first downloaded this app a few months ago it was great and easy to use , but now since the update all my info is all screwed up and not even accurate anymore. the update deleted some of my info and changed others. since the update this app has become so challenging to even use anymore. best to just use pen n paper honestly.

### 1/5 — Not easy to use and extremely buggy

*2026-01-15*

This app needs a lot of work.
Its interface is not straight forward and it is extremely buggy when trying to add simple dates and events to calendars.
Do not recommend.

**Developer response:** Hey! Early January we released Kidtime 2.0. Along the way we introduced a few issues, and have been working ever since to deliver on our promise of the best coparenting app. Check out the latest version, and tell us what you think. If you have any issues contact support, and we are happy to help.

### 1/5 — This app infuriates me

*2026-01-14*

Every time they update this app it gets worse. And every update is titled with “we’ve been listening to your concerns”, but I’m noticing all the reviews are still the same. I loved this app before the multiple updates. It won’t let me change the schedule what so ever. It was a very user friendly app, super easy to change and add things to the schedule and now you can’t edit anything without the prior schedule changing. Or it won’t let me update the schedule WHAT SO EVER.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-01-11, version 2.0.3*

Updated and now the app doesn’t even make sense! Everything is backwards! Mad I spent money on this!

### 1/5 — Loved it before the new update.

*2026-01-09, version 2.0.3*

I used to absolutely love this app. It was so easy to go ahead and pre-plan everything out since my ex-husband only gets our children one day a week but this new update. It will not let me do it. Terrible design of the new update.

### 1/5 — Update ruined the app

*2026-01-08*

I used to love this app, now with the current update(s) it’s beyond difficult to change or enter times. It was simple to use and edit and now if you want to edit anything it messes up the previous schedule!! I am beyond frustrated. I wish it would just go back to the way it was!!!!

### 1/5 — Update Horrible

*2026-01-08, version 2.0.3*

I have used this app for months and not this app is horrible. I can’t get anything to work right. Can’t confirm times. The hardest thing to use! Do NOT recommend. Downloading a different app and canceling. If I could give 0 stars I would!

### 1/5 — Update is terrible

*2026-01-06, version 2.0.1*

1/1/26 there was an update to the app and it is impossible to manage changes to the schedule and updating information. Not to mention all the old notes and calendar data was wiped out. Took days to resolve. I don’t recommend this app at all.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Put my mind at ease

*2026-08-07*

I’ve tried to manage calendars, expenses, and communications in different apps for years and this app has made everything so much more cohesive and easy to manage. Support has been fantastic on the two times I needed them for a mistake I made as well.

**Developer response:** Thank you — this genuinely made our day.

It's been a pleasure helping you along the way, and we're really glad it's all working together for you now.

### 5/5 — Easy

*2026-05-21, version 2.3.3*

Super easy to use. Makes life and scheduling stress free.

### 5/5 — My custody lifeline

*2026-02-05*

I use Kidtime day in and day out to keep track of literally everything in my custody battle. Handoffs, lates, school activities, extracurricular, schedules, notes, you name it. I have always had great experiences with Vince from the support team as well. He’s incredibly responsive, understanding, and you can tell that he has a true desire to help. I’ve recommended the app to my friends who are also in tough custody situations.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind words, and thank you for using Kidtime!

### 5/5 — Worth it!

*2026-01-04, version 2.0.0*

Great app for tracking parenting time with so many cool features. Absolutely wonderful customer service!

### 5/5 — Not reliable!!

*2025-09-11*

I really enjoyed this app at first. But when it deleted large amounts of data not once, but twice with no way to retrieve I’m no longer able to use or trust this app. I submitted two separate contact request for support with this issue and have still never been contacted. I’d like my money back.

**Developer response:** Hey there!

First, thanks for using Kidtime. Second your data is surely not lost. Please reach out to support once again, and I will respond.

### 5/5 — GREAT app!!

*2025-09-02*

Best app ever at doing exactly what it’s called… keeping track of how much time your kid is spending with who. You can share the calendar or even just use it solo to have for your own records. It’s very simple & easy to use. I have the free version & love that it keeps a percentage of when my children are between 2 homes, school, practices, games, etc. Your able to keep notes too & create tags and that where I made a tag for pick up & drop offs so I log that information in the notes section. I know other apps have a lot of other features to keep track of expenses & info on child. But if your like me & simply just know how much time your child was spending where then this is the app for u! It doesn’t disappoint if that’s all you need it for.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this review. I am really glad you are loving Kidtime!

### 5/5 — No more gaslighting!

*2024-12-23*

My ex always would always accuse me of not spending equal time with our kid, now with Kidtime we have a shared history and we don’t even talk about it anymore, we just check the app. Our relationship has been a lot better since using the app!

### 5/5 — Thanks Kidtime

*2024-12-18, version 1.7.2*

Before Kidtime I was constantly arguing with my coparent about custody time. Now we deal with eachother less, and get along more. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Easy!

*2024-11-26*

I just love how efficient and easy it is to use this app. It’s made my life so much easier and organized ! Whoever thought of this thank you so much.

### 5/5 — A game changer for your schedule

*2024-01-31*

Kidtime not only helped with planning and organizing a co-parenting schedule that worked for both of us but also made it visually clear and appealing. So much better than trying to use a Google calendar. I check this app almost everyday and it’s so easy to make changes and updates for both parents. You can even add another person like grandparent or nanny. Super great!
