## What is Kikoka?

Kikoka is a habit tracker that gets out of your way. One tap to check in. A heatmap that fills in as you go. Streaks that respect your schedule. No subscription, no ads, no account — free, forever.

WHY KIKOKA

Free, forever
No subscription. No ads. No account required. No paywall after your third habit. Track everything you want to track, with no upsell — ever.

A check-in that feels good
One tap marks the day done. Spring physics, a soft ripple, and a sparkle when you hit a perfect day. Undo without a confirmation dialog. The interaction is the reward.

Streaks that fit your real life
Set a habit for weekdays only and weekends won't break it. Run a flexible activity with no fixed schedule and skipped days don't punish you. Schedule-aware streaks mean less streak anxiety and more real progress.

Progress you can actually see
A GitHub-style heatmap shows your year at a glance. Live stats track current streak, longest streak, total completions, and completion rate. Filter by week, month, three months, year, or all time.

Private by default
Everything stays on your device. No account, no cloud sync, no profile of your habits. Export and import as CSV any time — your data is yours to keep.

FEATURES

- One-tap check-in with undo and Perfect Day celebration
- Heatmap, streaks, and completion stats with date range filters
- Daily, weekdays-only, or custom day schedules per habit
- Flexible activities with daily, weekly, or monthly streak modes
- Per-habit reminders and end-of-day check-ins
- Twelve-colour palette, emoji picker, and categories
- A "Because" field to capture why each habit matters
- Full CSV export and import
- Dark, light, and system themes
- VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion support

WHAT KIKOKA IS NOT

Not a journaling app. Not a goal-setting roadmap. Not a to-do list. Not a social feed. No public streaks, no badges to grind, no coaching upsells. Just a clean, fast habit tracker you will actually open every day.

Whether you are building a morning routine, staying consistent at the gym, reading every night, or finally breaking a bad habit, Kikoka gives you a system that works the way you do.

Open the app. Tap once. Done.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-06-08

Skip without breaking your streak
Long-press a habit on Today to mark a day as Skipped — travelling, sick, rest day, or your own reason. Skipped days don’t count as misses. Your streak keeps going.

Heatmap zoom
Overview now has Year, 3-month, and Month views. Pinch to zoom, swipe to move through past windows, and tap any day for details.

Lock Screen streak widget
New accessory widget shows your highest active habit streak and emoji. Tap to jump straight into Today.

What’s left tonight?
Long-press the progress bar on Today to see only the habits you still owe — complete them from the sheet without scrolling past done cards.

Why-cards
When a habit has a “because I want to…” note, the undo toast sometimes shows your why instead of “Completed.” A small reminder of why you started.

Pull for a sparkle
Pull down on Today for a tiny sparkle burst and haptic — pure feel, no fuss.

Fixes
• Fixed a rare startup crash on some devices (including widgets)
• Uncategorized habits can now be removed and reordered from the Habits tab

### 1.3 — 2026-05-05

Tour Kikoka.

A new interactive walkthrough scrolls you through everything the app can do, told as eleven short chapters. Each chapter plays itself as you scroll — a card completes itself, an emoji picker cycles colours, a streak ticks up, a Perfect Day triggers sparkles, a heatmap fills in. Open it from Settings → How It Works.

ALSO NEW

- Hide Completed Habits — a new toggle hides habits from the Today view as you check them off, similar to iOS Reminders. A "Show Completed" footer brings them back when you need to undo.
- Release Notes in Settings — read every change ever shipped, all the way back to v1.0.
- A celebratory popup after each update so you can see what's new without digging.
- The "Why" field now respects sentence casing instead of capitalising every word.

iOS 26 FIXES

- Export and Import (data and history) work reliably again.
- Settings buttons, sheets, and modals render with the correct accent colour.
- The "+" tab no longer flickers when you add a habit.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-04-07

- Feature request voting and idea submission from Settings
- Better haptics throughout the app
- Improved heat map with a cleaner grid and better readability
