## What is KilnCost?

See what a firing costs before you press start. Pick your kiln and cone, and KilnCost shows the estimated price and duration of the firing — $10.21 and 8h 31m, not a guess after the bill arrives.

KNOWN KILNS
• 24 Skutt KilnMaster Touchscreen and L&L Easy-Fire models, in 49 voltage configurations
• Power figures transcribed from the manufacturers' published spec tables
• Or enter a custom kiln by kilowatts or volts × amps, with 2.5″ or 3″ brick

FIRING PROGRAM
• Orton cone chart built in, cones 022 through 10 (self-supporting regular cones)
• Final ramp at 15, 60 or 150°C per hour — cone temperatures follow the ramp speed, as Orton publishes them
• Bisque or glaze, plus an optional hold

COST BREAKDOWN
• Energy in kWh, estimated duty cycle, climb time and the last 100°C, hold
• Flat rate or time-of-use pricing: peak and off-peak rates with your firing start hour
• Optional element-wear estimate per firing
• Every modeled number is marked Estimated — your meter has the final word

FIRING LOG
• Log a firing in one tap and look back at past firings
• Logging and the full history stay free
