Monitor the status of your KiloVault HLX+ series lithium solar battery. Compatible with the HLX+1200, HLX+2400, HLX+3600 Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries Using Bluetooth, this app enables you to obtain real-time readings of your KiloVault lithium battery. We provide this app to help you or our technical support team troubleshoot the battery or to simply satisfy your curiosity on how your battery is doing. Monitors: -Voltage -State of Charge (SOC) -Capacity Remaining in Amp-Hours and % -Temperature -Cycle Life -Current -Cell Voltages -Alerts Advanced Features: PLUSNET The KiloVault iT PlusNET enables multiple lithium batteries to operate as “one system” for data measurement, typically with a host battery leading the data from a linked set of lithium batteries. PlusNET will disconnect communication between each battery to reduce the self discharge of each battery. Bluetooth will still be active allowing monitoring using the KiloVault iT app. You can reactivate PlusNet by using the KiloVault iT app. If you do not wish to connect the communication cables between batteries it is recommended that you turn PlusNET off to conserve power. Storage Mode The HLX+ series battery can be switched between Active Mode and Storage Mode using the KiloVault iT app. Storage Mode will turn off the Bluetooth function on each battery reducing the self discharge rate and can hold a charge for a longer period of time. The battery will not be visible using the KiloVault iT app and will require a reset by a 5 second long press of the power Button. KiloVault Bridge Monitoring: The KiloVault iT app will also connect to KiloVault Bridge (Sold Separately) for complete Bank information. Instead of measuring the current flowing in/out of the battery bank using a shunt, it can communicate directly with the battery management system (BMS) and obtain more accurate state of charge (SoC) readings compared to traditional battery monitors. Other readings including voltage, current, capacity, warning codes, and number of paralleled or series batteries are also available to help users avoid abnormal conditions and extend the lifetime of the battery bank. Limitations: -It can only work with one battery at a time. -Your phone must support Bluetooth 4.0 -The battery you are monitoring must be less than 16ft/5m away. On the home screen, include the number of amp hours remaining in the battery. 2. There’s no reason to step through a password-protected screen, to get to “pro“ data. A simple tap on advanced should bring up data. It’s annoying to have to enter a password to look at the voltages in the individual cells. ### 1/5 — Could be much better. *2023-03-28, version 1.0.0* The KiloVault iT IT app is very basic. It could be much better with a few simple changes. To begin with, there’s absolutely no reason to require a password to view the advanced screen or to change the battery name. I never could find the password for single use, nor do I know what single use is used for. Secondly, the battery name defaults to words with letters, numbers and dashes, but when trying to change, it comes back with a cryptic message. I never could figure out what sort of name the app will accept. Again, there’s no reason to restrict spaces or dashes in the name, especially when the battery name is that way. To add insult to injury, the iPhone keyboard covers the text field for both the password and the battery name fields. Very frustrating. please fix the app so it can be much better.
