Support didn’t even bother, grade that fluctuate a lot without reason? Needs to be transparent about who is deciding the grade change of a climb and why. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2026-07-17, version 1.8* The app never works, won’t load any climbs EVER. Left the app that had worked for years and made one that doesn’t 👎 ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2026-07-15, version 1.8* Why is it so damn hard to disconnect from the board? It should be an easy thing to do, but not the way this app is written. I still have no idea the best way to do it. There have been a number of updates and the app still sucks. It will not disconnect from the board. I have to power down the wall to disconnect. Pathetic… ### 1/5 — Sign in issues *2026-07-12, version 1.8* Doesn't remember my old account. Created a new one, saved the password in a password manager, used password manager to sign in and it says it's invalid. Proper sign in and authentication is kind of table stakes. Not I that I’ve and full of bugs and errors. Climb on another board at this point. Any gyms considering a kilterboard should get a tension. Far better app, kilter used to be my favourite board. For some reason all the climbs in my app were showing up with no matching and now the climbs themselves aren’t even appearing anymore. Climbs with thousands of ascents are just for no longer appearing for me. Truly a great user experience ### 1/5 — Ruined the Kilter Board *2026-06-25* Congratulations, you ruined the Kilter Board and made it unusable. Climbs are gone. The few remaining are unusable. Swiping keeps repeating the same climbs over and over, or not switching climbs. Can’t see what climbs are on the board. Constant glitches disabling everything. My gym is removing the Kilter Board because nobody uses it. ### 1/5 — Can’t train at my gym without giving away my data for no reason *2026-06-24, version 1.7* Insane you can’t just use the board without an account ### 1/5 — Terrible decision *2026-06-20* Old app was perfect. I don’t know why they decided to do this but should’ve stayed with old developer and system. This one is glitchy, and the grade ranges are not what anyone wants ### 2/5 — Still doesn’t have basic functionality *2026-06-20* There’s still no way to log attempts on a climb without sending. Any comments on an attempt become locked and can’t be edited on future attempts. Therefore there’s no way to track projecting, which is the whole point of training on this board ### 2/5 — A downgrade *2026-06-17, version 1.6* Unfortunately, the new app is a definitive downgrade from the previous app. It works just ‘ok’. There are a few bugs and the functionality leaves much to be desired. A key feature fix that is needed: allow filtering to include problems with no grade. Without this fix, any route that was a project in the old database does not show up in filtered lists. I’m sure all of the climbing gyms will be happy about these giants hunks of useless hardware in their gyms. Hope whoever developped this new app was not paid. ### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work *2026-07-31* This app was rolled out far too fast and has an incredible number of issues. There isn’t a single aspect I like more that Auroras version. New issue is that that my phone disconnects from the wall about every minute, requiring me to reconnect. Other issues include swiping (rarely reacts to my finger swipe), playlist capabilities, logging is dumb, I could go on and on. ### 1/5 — Why *2026-07-30, version 1.10* this app is atrocious ### 1/5 — App makes me not want to climb *2026-07-19, version 1.8* Please fix. You make a username and then it makes you log in with your email. Completely jacks up the apple autosave login. App couldn’t even connect to the board. Sorry to have the app come out in a forced manner like this — hopefully old data and logs get recovered. In the short term, I’d like a better filtering/search method. Sorting by highest rated yields climbs with low ascent count and sorting by high climb count gives routes with low rating.
