My org has a custom Kimai instance they self-host and have custom-built API endpoints for. This app works seamlessly with it despite all the nuances that come with self-hosting and modifications that occur from people who self-host open source stuff. Five stars for excellent functionality and a slim user interface that does only what it needs to. perfect.

Ich nutze sie häufig und bin sehr zufrieden mit der App.

Diese app macht mehr probleme als sie löst, damals einen lifetime plan oder die app für noch 3€ oderso gekauft und jetzt geht nur noch der offline modus. Timetrackings haben sich nie editieren lassen wegen falscher api Kommunikation.

In der Beschreibung steht am Anfang „Die App ist jetzt Kostenlos!“ Das stimmt nicht. Nicht einmal testen kann man die App ohne ein Abo abzuschließen. Schade

Die App funktioniert okay. Of sind Zugriffe etwas langsam. Ich habe gedacht ich muss noch mal eine Lizenz kaufen aber konnte es wiederherstellen.

Es gibt einen Haufen Bugs und es scheint keine Updates mehr zu geben.
Das letzte „Update“ war die Einführung eines Zahlungssystems und dann kam nichts mehr.

Wenn ich einen Workspace als „Preferred Workspace“ festlege, wird automatisch der Dark Mode deaktiviert und die App wird äußerst instabil. 
Bei vielen App-Starts fordert mich die App ebenfalls wieder dazu auf, ein Abo abzuschließen, obwohl ich schon lange eines habe und dafür zahle. 
Teilweise sind es lange Ladezeiten, bis meine Zeit angezeigt werden. 

Könnten wenigstens mal die Bugs gefixt werden, wenn ich jetzt auch dafür zahle?

Viele Funktionen verstecken sich hinter Erweiterungen, die als SaaS / Abo-Modell für sehr viel Geld nachträglich gekauft werden müssen. Zumindest wenn man sie braucht. Das ist wiederum eine Ansichtssache.

Ich finde 49€ allein für die App etwas sehr übertrieben. Es ist verständlich, dass gute Software auch ihren Preis haben sollte, aber bitte nicht so! 

Wenn Kimai kostenlos/Open Source ist, dann als Komplettpaket, wie Invoice Ninja. Und für das Hosting oder den Business Support kann man dann auch den ein oder anderen Euro verlangen. 

Doch gehe ich mal von einer Einzelperson oder winzigen Unternehmen aus, die weniger als 5-10 Mitarbeiter haben und auf Kimai überhaupt angewiesen sind (es gibt ja auch sevDesk & Co), dann sollten zumindest die Erweiterungen inklusive sein. Naja, aber das ist halt auch seine unternehmerische Freiheit. 

Ich teste die Kimai & die App noch etwas und werde dann entscheiden, ob sie mir auf Dauer gefällt oder nicht.

### 1/5 — Lebenslange Lizenz ausgelaufen

Ich habe im August 2023 eine Lebenslange Lizenz gekauft. Nun soll ich im März 2024 erneut eine neue Lebenslange Lizenz kaufen oder ein Jahresabo abschließen.
Die App ist für mich nicht mehr nutzbar ohne erneut zu zahlen.  
Eine E-Mail an den Support blieb auch eine Woche später unbeantwortet. 
Da ich befürchte das eine erneute Lebenslange Lizenz verfallen wird, werde ich bei diesem Hersteller nicht mehr kaufen. 
Abgesehen davon ist die neue Kimai Version auch responsive und kann direkt via Browser im Handy ganz gut bedient werden. 
Damit entfällt die Notwendigkeit für diese App. Diese App bietet für mich keinerlei Mehrwert mehr. Es lassen sich auch nur Arbeitszeiten erfassen und keine Ausgaben, wenn man das Kimai Modul Expenses verwendet.
