## What is Kin Keepsake Vault?

Kin Keepsake Vault helps families keep practical care details and meaningful memories organized in one calm place. Add child profiles, record allergies and school notes, track vaccines and medications, save doctors and emergency contacts, log growth measurements, capture milestones, write journal memories, and keep family document notes close at hand.

Open any child's Timeline to see their whole story in order - milestones, journal entries, growth checks, vaccines, visits, and documents, each stamped with their age at the time. When someone else is watching the kids, the Caregiver Brief compiles allergies, medications, contacts, and what's coming up from the records you already keep, flags anything missing, and shares as text or a printable PDF after you review it.

The Family Care Readiness card highlights missing essentials such as child profiles, doctors, emergency contacts, vaccine records, growth or milestone entries, and document notes. Kin Keepsake Vault is designed for parents and caregivers who want a private local organizer without accounts, ads, or tracking.

Kin Keepsake Vault is local-first. It does not require an account, does not show ads, does not track users, and stores family records on the device.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-08-31

Two big additions for busy families:

- Timeline: open any child from the Family tab and choose Timeline to see their whole story in order - milestones, journal entries, growth checks, vaccines, past visits, and saved documents, each stamped with their age at the time. Filter by kind with one tap.
- Caregiver Brief: the Care tab's Handoff section now builds a sitter-ready brief from the records you already keep - allergies, conditions, medications, who to call, and what's coming up in the next 30 days - and plainly flags anything not on file yet. Review it, then share as text or a printable PDF.

Everything still lives on your device: no account, no ads, no tracking.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-06-24

This update sharpens the interface: the iPad layout now uses a centered, comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge, plus small display fixes. iPhone is unchanged.

### 1.4 — 2026-06-23

Version 1.4 adds Memories search, a Vaccine Schedule Checklist, and a shareable Caregiver Card PDF - the three features parents asked for most.

Memories Search - Tap the magnifying glass in the Memories tab to search your full journal by title, story text, location, or mood. As you type, the year-grouped timeline filters instantly to matching entries. A result count tells you how many memories match, and clearing the search brings everything back. Perfect for finding that one funny thing they said two years ago.

Vaccine Schedule Checklist - A new Schedule tab in the Care section shows the complete CDC-recommended immunization schedule mapped against your child's actual logged vaccines. Each dose appears as Done (logged), Due soon (in the recommended window), Overdue (window passed and not logged), or Upcoming (not yet at the child's age). The checklist groups doses by age bracket and shows a running total of how many are logged. Tap the + button on the Schedule tab to log any missing vaccine directly.

Caregiver Card PDF Export - The Caregiver Card - already the quickest way to hand critical info to a babysitter or camp counselor - can now be shared as a formatted PDF. Tap the share icon in the top-right corner of the Caregiver Card to generate a one-page PDF with the child's identity, allergies banner, active medications, medical contacts, emergency contacts, dietary notes, and insurance details. Send it via AirDrop, Mail, or any share sheet destination.

### 1.3 — 2026-06-15

Version 1.3 adds appointment tracking with smart reminders, an active document vault, and medication reminders — the three most-requested features from parents who rely on this app every day.

Appointment Log — Log every well-child visit, sick visit, dental checkup, specialist, vaccination, therapy session, eye exam, or follow-up — past or upcoming. Each visit stores the doctor name, clinic, reason for visit, your notes, and an optional follow-up date with its own notes. Swipe to delete, and the app automatically cancels any scheduled reminder. The Care tab now opens directly to Visits so your next appointment is always one tap away.

Appointment Reminders — For any future appointment, tap the Remind Me toggle before saving. The app schedules a local notification at 9 AM the day before so you arrive prepared, no calendar app required.

Upcoming Visits on Home — The Family home screen now shows a card of your next three upcoming appointments across all children, so the whole family's schedule is visible at a glance.

Document Vault — Store scanned PDFs and photos of critical documents right inside a child's profile: birth certificates, SSN cards, passports, insurance cards, immunization records, school records, report cards, prescriptions, and more. Import any PDF or image from your Files app. Swipe to export or delete. Everything stays on-device, fully private.

Medication Reminders — Active medications now trigger local notifications based on their frequency: once-daily reminders at 8 AM; twice-daily at 8 AM and 8 PM; three-times-daily at 8 AM, 2 PM, and 8 PM; four-times-daily at 8 AM, noon, 4 PM, and 8 PM; weekly on Monday mornings. As-needed medications stay quiet.

Export Visit History — Export a complete visit log for any child as a CSV, including doctor, clinic, reason, notes, and any follow-up dates. Use Settings › Data & Export.

PDF Export Updated — The family PDF now includes a Doctor Visits & Appointments page for any child with recorded visits.

### 1.2 — 2026-06-13

Keepsake 1.2 adds on-device growth percentiles (WHO 0–24 months, CDC 2–20 years) for weight, height and head circumference with a trend chart, a separate height chart, PDF export of a complete child record, CSV export of growth/vaccines/milestones, and a per-child Year in Review. Fully offline — no account, no tracking.
