## What is Kin?

Record doctor visits. Get clear summaries. Remember what to do next.

Kin helps you prepare for healthcare appointments, capture the conversation, and follow through afterward so you can stay present during the visit instead of taking notes or trying to remember everything later.

After each visit, Kin turns the conversation into a focused summary. Rather than giving you a word-for-word transcript, Kin organizes the key points, recommendations, and next steps so you can quickly understand what happened and what to do next.

Kin is available in English and Spanish. Record visits in either language and get your visit summary and next steps in Spanish when you prefer.

Use Kin for your own doctor visits or to help care for a parent, spouse, or loved one. Kin also supports women's health, pregnancy, children's appointments, specialist care, repeat follow-ups, and other important health conversations.

WHAT KIN HELPS YOU DO

Record appointments

Tap record before or during a visit. Kin captures the conversation so you can focus on the discussion instead of taking notes.

Prepare for the visit

Tell Kin about an upcoming appointment and it builds your agenda with you, asking who the visit is for and what you want from it. Or save your own questions, concerns, symptoms, notes, photos, and documents.

Talk to Kin

Ask Kin anything with your voice, from any chat or straight from the lock screen. Interrupt and change direction whenever you want.

Use Kin by text

Text Kin and it is the same Kin you use in the app. Share a visit, send photos, audio, or video, or start a group so two parents can manage a child's care together.

Bring important health information

Keep relevant health information and documents with Kin so they are easier to reference before, during, and after appointments.

Review a clear summary

See the key points, recommendations, and next steps from the conversation without having to read through a long transcript.

Stay on top of next steps

One to-do list across every visit and everyone you care for. Open a task to see which visit it came from. Keep track of medications, lab work, referrals, questions, and follow-up appointments.

Share with your care circle

Invite family members or caregivers to review summaries and stay aligned on what happened and what comes next.

BUILT FOR REAL CARE MOMENTS

Regular doctor visits

Keep a useful history of appointments and summaries across doctors and specialists.

Older adults and caregivers

Help a parent, spouse, or loved one remember instructions, organize follow-up, and share updates.

Patient portals and health records

Use Kin alongside your patient portal. Bring relevant records, documents, and questions into the visit, capture the conversation, and keep the summary and next steps organized afterward.

Women's health

Use Kin for fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and other women's health conversations.

Parents and children

Capture your child's appointments, questions, instructions, and follow-up care so important details are easier to remember.

Ongoing and specialist care

Use Kin for specialist visits, lab work, referrals, recurring appointments, and continued follow-up.

Pet and vet visits

Keep veterinary visit notes, care instructions, and next steps organized for your pets.

BUILT ALONGSIDE DOCTORS

Kin supports your care but does not replace your doctor or healthcare provider. Kin does not diagnose, prescribe, or make medical decisions. It helps you capture the visit, understand what was discussed, and follow the care plan you were given.

PRIVACY AND CONTROL

Your health information belongs to you. You decide who can access your visit information, and you can delete recordings or summaries at any time.

Download Kin and make every important appointment easier to remember.

### 5/5 — Used Kin at Dental Appointment

*2026-10-15, version 1.14.1*

I was extremely impressed with the summary of my dental appointment. I initially thought that the app just recorded the conversation at the appointment. I had forgotten about it and I opened the app later on in the day and I was thoroughly impressed with the summary of my appointment

### 5/5 — Kin Health is a Game Changer!

*2026-10-14, version 1.14.1*

I love this app! Kin Health has made a huge difference in coordinating care for my 87-year-old parents, one of whom has mild cognitive impairment. As a registered nurse and primary care manager, I know the importance of accuracy, communication, and continuity of care, and Kin Health delivers! It keeps appointments, care plans, and follow-up tasks organized, while the care circle feature saves me so much time by keeping our family accurately informed and up to date, all in one place.

It’s been a game changer to participate in appointments remotely and have a reliable record of what was discussed, including my questions and the provider’s responses. I experienced this firsthand during a preoperative visit when I was asked to stop taking notes and rely on the printed summary, which left out my questions and the provider’s responses. It reinforced just how valuable a tool like Kin Health can be.

The new voice interface is brilliant and feels like having a partner in care to help navigate an often overwhelming healthcare system. Kin Health is innovative, practical, and truly patient centered. It’s raising the bar for patient engagement and helping families feel more informed, organized, and involved in their loved ones’ care. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — How is this free??

*2026-10-14, version 1.14.1*

I keep looking for a catch. This is amazing. I’ve had 4 appointments for myself, one for a parent, and one for my spouse in the past 3 days. It’s hard enough to keep track of when and where to go, but it’s almost impossible to remember all the details of each appointment. Somehow this app summarizes each visit with relevant info in bullet points. I would suggest a watch app for easier recording.

### 5/5 — Excellent app, but not perfect

*2026-09-26, version 1.11.8*

The app is really good at doing what it's supposed to do by recording your office visits and summarizing them. That said, there are a few little problems with the app that I'm sure the developer can easily work out. For example, if you set it up with your calendar and an appointment is scheduled but you change the date of the appointment, the app fails to recognize this. It keeps the original date and does not add the new date, which may confuse you when you're suddenly told in the morning that you have an appointment that day, but you really don't. Otherwise, it does everything that it's supposed to do

### 5/5 — Life is Easier

*2026-09-25, version 1.11.8*

I am in my 70’s and with I was able to send my concerned kids, everything the dr said, and instruction he gave me!! As well as I could go back and listen to what I was to do !! Love it

### 5/5 — The BEST APP EVER!!

*2026-09-24, version 1.11.8*

The best app ever and it’s free. I love it.

### 1/5 — MISLEADING

*2026-09-20, version 1.11.8*

1 STAR — Misleading about control of your data

Be VERY CAUTIOUS! Once they create the visit summary it could become a permanent part of your medical record and if it’s inaccurate, too bad, you’re stuck with it!!

Kin states on its website: “You own your data” and “Your data is private by default and always in your control.”

I relied on those statements when using Kin to record an important conversation on my own phone. I later discovered that I cannot access the original audio recording.

I find it very difficult to reconcile “You own your data” and “always in your control” with being unable to obtain your own recording.

If Kin does not provide users access to the original audio, that should be made unmistakably clear before they record, not after.

Be very careful using Kin for anything where the original recording might matter.

Attempts to appeal their decision falls on deaf ears.

### 5/5 — Great tool for those with hearing issues

*2026-09-19, version 1.11.8*

I have never written a review on an app before. But I have to share this great discovery. I have limited hearing and I struggle when I visit doctors to catch all the details. Kin is a GameChanger. It takes in all of the details from my office visit and then summarizes everything before I even get back to my car. The notes are amazing and a great way to keep records. Kin also provides
next steps. I no longer and the best thing of all is that it is free! have to take someone with me to a doctors appointment. It is a very discreet tool. I just leave my phone on and everything gets recorded in summarized with accuracy.

### 5/5 — Doctors visit

*2026-09-12, version 1.10.0*

I would highly recommend this app

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2026-08-28, version 1.9.1*

Used for the first time yesterday and I am *very* pleased!
