Really weird and odd names and tons of very American-sounding names. I’m sure that’s great for some but I’ve got to the end of all the names and not seen many typical/popular names come up at all. ### 3/5 — Good concept limited names *2026-06-06, version 2.0.13* Concept is great. List of names is pretty small and while some unique/less common, most are not. ### 2/5 — Not enough name choices *2026-01-01, version 2.0.5* Not enough name choices. I bought a language specific name pack and felt like it didn’t really give many names at all. With AI now I would have thought it would be super easy to have a huge database of names available. The other nice thing that could have been integrated is as “info” button on the name with some info about its origins and meanings. Overall a good conversation starter about names. Tried multiple times to get it to function. Decided to try a different app ### 2/5 — Crashes *2025-05-19, version 2.0.3* Good app but toggling countries of origin sends the app into an irreversible crash loop and requires a re-install. ### 3/5 — Okay… *2025-05-17, version 2.0.3* Pretty good at getting some name inspo but I’ve paid 2x $1.99 for extra name packs and my app keeps crashing to where I have to delete it and re-download it. After all that I restore purchases and it does it again, like it can’t handle extra names. Pretty annoying and won’t be continuing use but was fun to start with. ### 1/5 — Missing core functionality *2025-04-26, version 2.0.3* My partner and I used this app for our first child. Since then it appears that the most basic functionality has been removed, or is broken. We have tried repeatedly to connect via the app, and it does not work. When he opens it, it says he has already reviewed all the names, and all that is left to do is view the names I have already rated. I could’ve just handed him a list with my favorite names and skipped all the app downloading and invite sending business. ### 1/5 — Useless to us *2025-03-22, version 2.0.3* I downloaded the app and paid for a pack of Welsh baby names so have been swiping on Welsh and English (England) names. My partner also downloaded the app but his version is only giving him English (US) names and if he wants English (England) or Welsh names he’s going to have to pay for those packs separately… easy money for the developers I guess but it turns out we’ve been swiping on two different sets of names 🙄 ### 1/5 — App great - but limited name sets *2025-03-22, version 2.0.3* The user interface of the app is great. But when I purchased the Hindi name set, there were only a handful of names to choose from. There are SO many Hindi names out there. And to pay $1.99 for a name set that is so limited, is very poor form. I managed to go through them all in one night and haven’t gotten any new ones ### 1/5 — you’re better off with NameHatch *2026-04-07, version 2.0.7* This is the only app that looks 21st century, kind of. But it has random upgrades for 99 cent that people don’t need. A lot of people say the names are uninteresting and super unusual to choose. That’s why a lot are switching to NameHatch and finding the perfect name in days not months. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2026-03-23, version 2.0.7* I ran out of names really quickly ### 1/5 — Didn’t work *2026-01-17, version 2.0.5* It wouldn’t let my partner and I sync ### 1/5 — Worked ok, then… *2025-12-07, version 2.0.5* Worked as advertised for baby number one (a girl) BUT for baby two (a boy) it’s not recognising matches. Our apps are still synced. We can still see all of our matches for the girls names, but none of the boys names are showing up (even when we like the same names). Get in touch to fix this and I will update the review. ### 1/5 — Can’t connect with partner *2025-11-28, version 2.0.5* Constantly getting a Kinder.api error when I try connecting with invite code. Support link in the App Store goes to a dead domain. Moving onto another app ### 1/5 — Couldn’t connect partner *2025-11-06, version 2.0.5* Pretty useless app if the first step of connecting your partner doesn’t work ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-09-27, version 2.0.5* Inviting your partner does nothing. Doesn’t connect your accounts or even seem like it attempts too. Wouldn’t recommend. ### 1/5 — Partner Invite Functionality is Bad *2025-09-18, version 2.0.5* My partner and I got this app for baby naming exploration. It did not allow for me to input who to invite as my partner. It just auto sent it. My partner didn’t receive any sort of invitation and we have no clue who that went to. I didn’t have to create an account to use it. 2. There’s tons of names. Seemed like other baby name apps showed you the same 100 names over and over again. 3. I didn’t have to buy up the plan to get more names. ### 5/5 — Possible extension *2024-05-24, version 1.7.5* Fun app, really useful for introducing us to names we might not have known about/considered otherwise. An idea for a possible extension — the app is currently great for identifying names you and your partner both like, but it doesn’t help you decide between them. What we just wound up doing was taking a “long-short” list of names we both liked and generating a ranking using pairwise comparisons, which helped us narrow it down more systematically than trying to think through 25 names separately. That seems like the kind of thing that would be straightforward to implement in-app? In any case, definitely just a nice-to-have feature, not a need-to-have. ### 5/5 — Soon to be first time dad, +++ *2024-04-23, version 1.7.5* Great app. Played with a couple of similar ones.
