### 4/5 — Great app but notifications could be more specific

*2025-03-27*

A great app to keep me updated with news, events etc. The one thing that could use improvement is the notifications (I use an iPhone). Notifications always say “there is new information” but often it is just another parent commenting on a post and isn’t relevant. Notifications could be more specific such as “there is a new comment on a post from 1/1/25” or “there is a new post” or even give a name as to who has posted like Facebook notifications.
Thanks team

### 3/5 — Needs a revamp!

*2023-06-07*

The app is delayed notifying you when a post has been uploaded. Often the educators post during the day, and I only see the post and get notified towards the evening often overnight. Compared to another app I used at a different preschool, this one has a lot of work to be done to get up to standard.

**Developer response:** Hi there, you will notice that some of your posts have a little '?' next to the date/time, this indicates the actual time the post was created but then modified by the educator, Kinderloop then shares this with you at the top of your feed so you do not miss it, if it was in proper date order, it would sit within your feed and possibly be lost.

### 3/5 — Refresh issues

*2023-03-25*

I often miss posts as they appear a day later in my feed, despite refreshes via the app. If you have the app open in the background and receive a notification, you lose the connection from that specific notification, to the post within the app. The browser is more reliable but not as convenient. I hope they can improve the refresh issues, as I would prefer to know what’s going on during the day as opposed to a day later.

### 3/5 — Why are posts hidden?

*2023-01-13, version 1.5.1*

App seems decent only recently started using but it’s weird that daily posts by educators are hidden inside “post search” under “more”
There should be a dedicated spot on the main navigation for this as this is updated multiple times a day

### 2/5 — Usability issues and buggy

*2021-09-08*

We find the app non intuitive to use. The little dot navigation thing is horrible. Also several bugs in the workflow. Like getting a notification and it opening to the last post not the post the notification is for. Or trying to leave a comment to an incident report and the text box being too big for the phone screen and then also this messes up the ability to find the save button. So can’t sign the incident report if leaving comments. Can’t save photos.
Generally the app is not easy to use.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for your constructive feedback, saving photos is at the discretion of your child's educators and is a privacy decision they make. In regards to comments and signing of accident reports, please can you send us a screenshot so we can see what you are experiencing support@kinderloop.com

### 2/5 — Don’t know which is the new post or comments

*2021-03-19*

The biggest problem with this app is not knowing which is the latest or new post. I understand there are some posts which are deemed important so pushed to the top of the feed. But everytime I get a notification for a post I have to read every post till I get to the post which is new / haven’t read.
I believe there should be a flag to indicate this is new since you last refreshed the feed.

**Developer response:** Hi there, you should be seeing a 'Whats New' popup when you open the app to see new elements. You will also notice that some of your posts have a little '?' next to the date/time, this indicates the actual time the post was created but then modified by the educator, Kinderloop then shares this with you at the top of your feed so you do not miss it, if it was in proper date order, it would sit within your feed and possibly be lost.

### 4/5 — Find local network devices

*2021-03-10, version 1.3.13*

Why does Kinderloop need to find and access local network devices

### 3/5 — Big fail since the latest update

*2020-11-18*

Since the latest update a few weeks ago, the wait to import photos has become very complicated and time consuming. Having to upload photos first to then add to your post. And... no option to re-upload later. You have to crash the app and re-start

**Developer response:** Hi there, we implemented the background upload of images so educators could continue writing their observations and not have to wait, this is also dependant on your upload wifi/4g speed. Would you mind contacting us on iossupport@kinderloop.com so we can chat to you further about your experience and see how we can improve.

### 3/5 — Very useful

*2020-08-27*

Generally very good. The sound doesn't always play on all devices. It's patchy and not limited to the same device every time.

### 2/5 — Update suggestions

*2020-02-24, version 1.2.10*

This is a very good tool.
A few suggestions though for next update:
- refresh of the feed / comments does not appear even after notification has been received. I normally have to log-out/exit app to get refreshed contents. Maybe developers can look at this in next release (hopefully soon!)

### 2/5 — Save to Camera Roll functionality gone!!

*2019-07-22*

The addition of the ‘Save Photo to Camera Roll’ a few versions back was very welcomed...I’m dismayed to find that this has been removed from the current version of the app - why?!!
The alternative is having to logon through the web UI and saving photos manually.
Why is existing functionality being removed from newer releases of the app...it doesn’t make any sense.

**Developer response:** Hi there, this is now controlled at the centre level as an option they can switch on at their discretion and in line with their privacy policy.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App doesn’t send email to reset or even create a login

*2025-10-30*

App doesn’t respond, useless

**Developer response:** Hi there, apologies for the delayed reply... if the app has not emailed you a link to reset your username/password it may be because your email is not in our system or has been entered incorrectly, please feel free to email support@kinderloop.com so we can help further.

### 1/5 — Delay on posts and notifications

*2023-11-01*

The delay on posts showing up in our feed is really disappointing. We often see posts appear in our feed days or even weeks after they were initially posted by the daycare centre. The reason parents use these apps are so that we can check how our children’s day is going, and the app fails to let us do that.
We’re running the latest version of the app, on the latest phone software and still the same issue. Other daycare apps are far superior.

### 1/5 — College assignment level app

*2023-06-27*

Using this app felt like I was using some college student's assignment app. I think even students can make better app than this. This is the Worst daycare app I've ever seen. Daily chart UX is rubbish, took so much time to understand what was the update. Refreshing time also added up in this confusion as the app is horrible for updating the data. Lot of updates I get the next day because while opening the notification, it doesn't show what's new correctly. Someone's birthday, I got 30 notifications for all d wishes in comments, no way to mute, had to use phone's feature to mute the app updates.
I really can't write all the issues they have. I think the company should scrap this completely nd outsource the app making to some reputed firm. Or if u wanna fix it, APPOINT A UX EXPERT 1ST.
I've used Xplor and had amazing experience in it. Except few "cud b better" things, I loved it so much, data was accurate, the updates were clear, notification showed clear info after phone unlocked, very easy to use app.
If this was my Daycare, I'd stop use of this app right away.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your detailed feedback Mital, you sound like you are an expert in UX and UI so if you would like to discuss further offer constructive help, please email support@kinderloop.com and we can help.

### 1/5 — Very clunky for parents

*2022-01-24, version 1.3.31*

Needs lots of improvement.

* When you open the app after receiving a notification it’s difficult to tell what’s actually been updated - take us straight to the new content please!

* Sometimes after refreshing multiple times the new content still doesn’t show up. Only works if you close the app and login again.

* The Daily Activity section is a mess, very unclear and scrolls terribly.

### 1/5 — Super slow and glitchy

*2021-12-08, version 1.3.30*

I constantly get notifications that there has been an update yet no update loads.
It takes HOURS for information to feed through.

### 1/5 — Not good

*2021-11-29, version 1.3.30*

Hard to find the old contents. No search no filter. I would like to see my kid’s old posters with his name tag only. How to do that?

### 1/5 — Terrible!

*2021-11-07, version 1.3.30*

This app is not user friendly at all. Everything is all over the place and hard to navigate. You should really consider redesigning this app.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2019-09-17, version 1.2.3*

This app is just horrible. The feed is messy, is not displayed in chronological order. You cannot have one-to-one conversation with a particular teacher, so if you want to ask something everyone will read your messages.

### 1/5 — password reset

*2019-04-11, version 1.1.28*

Why your app does not send password reset link.

### 2/5 — UI/UX needs to improve

*2024-08-15*

I struggled to use this app seamlessly as it load the whole page instead of just updating the data. The ux is pathetic and the team can focus on improving the customer experience.
I compared it to Storypark app which had far better experience than this app.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your detailed feedback Deepak, you sound like you are an expert in UX and UI so if you would like to discuss further offer constructive help, please email support@kinderloop.com and we can help.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Legitimate app support provided

*2026-09-02*

Really useful platform and easy to use. I was pleasantly surprised that when I gave feedback from within the app regarding the new notification bell feature they listened, responded promptly and within a few days had rolled out a new release with a “mark all as read” button to clear my notification count down to zero. Incredible.

### 5/5 — Facilitates practical workflow

*2026-03-25*

Awesome software that facilitates an easy and practical workflow to ensure compliance. Customer support is impeccable!

### 5/5 — Log in problem

*2026-03-20*

Very helpful…Thankyou so much for helping me.

### 5/5 — Kinderloop listen to their customers!

*2026-02-13*

As an early childhood education and care provider, we have used Kinderloop for more than a decade. We have found the product great, but even better is that it rarely has tech issues (and if it does, Kinderloop let their customers know about it and fix it quickly and the support is exceptional. Any questions are answered quickly and by a human (usually a human you’ve communicated with before because they’ve been there for years!). I’ve given plenty of feedback which has been responded to respectfully - either with a “no, and this is why” or “that sounds like something we can investigate implementing” and before you know it, it’s happening. The team seems to genuinely care about reducing my admin load and I am very grateful for that.

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2025-06-22*

We’ve been using Kinderloop for a few months now, and it continues to exceed our expectations in every way. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, offering a seamless way to document and share children’s learning with families while aligning beautifully with the EYLF and NQS frameworks.
What truly sets Kinderloop apart is their outstanding customer service. Whenever we’ve had a question or needed assistance, we've been able to speak with a real person. Their support team is not only responsive and knowledgeable but also genuinely warm and helpful. They understand the unique needs of early childhood educators and always go above and beyond to ensure we feel supported.
This kind of personalised service is so rare and it makes all the difference. Knowing that help is just a call away gives us real peace of mind. We feel like valued partners, not just users of a product.
My team highly recommend Kinderloop to any early learning service looking for a reliable and educator-focused platform—with the bonus of truly exceptional human support.

### 5/5 — Good and Quick Service

*2024-11-26*

Really good and quick response to my query .I was struggling with but Dan Helped me and all queries resolved great work thank u very much

### 5/5 — Cheers

*2021-10-11, version 1.3.28*

Always been professional and provided exceptional service and comfort to both of my girls. Thanks Ann and all the girls

### 5/5 — Ok. Needs lots of improvement.

*2021-03-29*

Photos take a long time to be visible to family members. They are only visible several hours after educators post them.

You can’t see who liked a post.

You should have a way of opting out of notifications on types of posts you’re not interested in.

Notifications are a tricky one and we are constantly trying to balance what/how they work.

### 5/5 — AWESOME TOOL

*2020-05-14, version 1.3.4*

Love it. Congratulations.

### 5/5 — The best for childcare

*2019-11-11*

This app is amazing and has awesome features for childcare providers and parents! A must have!
