## What is Kindredly?

Anonymous pen pals, matched by how you write.

Write one honest letter to nobody in particular. Your courier carries it to strangers' desks, and anyone it reaches can write back. No profile photos, no swiping. You stay anonymous until you both trade names, after five letters each way.

HOW IT WORKS
• Seal your letter with one of 36 mood stamps, like "Never told anyone" or "Hot take."
• Every morning, up to fifteen letters land on your desk. Writers whose rhythm matches yours come first.
• Answer the ones that stay with you. Write in any language; tap to translate letters into yours.
• After five letters each way you can trade names and get a room of your own: folded notes, questions, a photo a day, shared songs.

YOUR COURIER
She hatches from your first words, grows as you write, and gets hungry when you go quiet. Name her and dress her. A Live Activity shows how many desks your letter has reached.

YOUR WRITING AURA
Nine signals from how you write, worked out on your phone with no AI. Collect stickers and earn one of fifty titles.

THE SEALED JOURNAL
Words, photos, voice and video, sealed on your phone and never uploaded to us.

FIRST CLASS (OPTIONAL)
Everything above is free, including every kindred you find. First Class adds rooms that never close (free rooms close after 30 quiet days and stay readable), voice letters to the desk, the full wardrobe, and no daily cap on new open letters (free: five a day). Monthly or annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime Cofounder fare.

18+. No ads. Report or block a writer from any letter.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage them in your Apple Account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-18

Bug fixes and improvements.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-13

Tap a photo and it opens big. Long-press a line to reply, copy, translate or report; your own can be taken back for two minutes (a small note admits it: Wren does not destroy evidence). Kindreds is one clean list now: Wren on top, a blue badge when it's your turn, and the line above it shows who's closest to trading names. Ask Wren how anything works and she plays you a proper little film.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-26

Wren has a desk now, at the top of Kindreds. Ask her how anything works and she answers with a tiny moving guide — no AI, just a bird with opinions. Kindreds are unlimited; the fourth-name fare is gone and nobody misses it. The courier leaves the second she has your letter (she used to hover; she has stopped hovering). Rooms got bubbles, and the journal's two keys are Text note and Voice note, which is what they always were deep down.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-17

Wren got a makeover. Five looks, one less chin, same courier.

Your first letter now takes an actual trip: she folds it, flies the route chart, and comes back with three from people who write like you. You can watch.

Your Writing Aura finally speaks human. Stickers instead of scores, each one quoting the sentence of yours it came from. No horoscopes were harmed.

Fifty names, fifty tiny pixel rooms. You get one. Slowly.

First Class is one page now, prices on the ticket. The tab bar has icons a person can recognise. Save your aura card to Photos and show it off; your letters stay home.

Also: it opens faster and the buttons stopped thinking about it.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-15
