I struggle to read announcements as it just exits the app when trying to load. I can’t upload family stories as it also crashes. Really easy to fix and it will be 5 stars from me ### 1/5 — White screen *2023-12-15, version 4.1.1* Awful cant download entire messages. Often goes to a completely white screen, redownload the app still does it. So frustrating. ### 1/5 — Glitchy *2023-12-05* Whenever I tap a message notification the app opens and then crashes. I then launch the app again and manually go to the messages, and every time the message is long and I need to tap “Read full message” the whole screen goes blank, no message, buttons or menus, which forces me to force close the app as it becomes unusable and I never actually get to read the messages. This app seems more like a project from someone studying to become a developer than a professionally developed app. ### 2/5 — Communication needs improving *2023-04-17* As an app used primarily for communicating it’s disappointing that the app doesn’t have notifications when you get a new message or time stamps on communications. This means messages like “your son needs to be picked up in a hour” mean nothing because I don’t know when it was sent and I don’t get notification when it comes in. We agree with you and notifications are indeed coming :) ### 2/5 — Photos *2023-03-22, version 4.0.0* Please update a version that allows photo download to iPhone. Daycare uploads photos and it won’t allow saving to camera roll. Also, notifications via the app would be really useful. ### 2/5 — Bugs still not fixed *2023-01-24* A year after reviews about family story not working and they still haven’t fixed the bugs. It freezes during the upload so it’s very frustrating. And no notifications is annoying too, I miss stuff **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback - please contact support@kindyhub.com.au so we can look into this further for you ### 1/5 — Wished it has more features *2022-10-17* My daughter’s childcare uses this app but it’s so frustrating as there is no feature to see how they are doing in terms of sleep / meal times unless the educator updates it as part of their learning. I wish there is an additional feature which educator can update through the day on how my child is doing so I’m not waiting for 3pm or later to find out how the day had been. I also hope that there is a notification function which tells me when there is an update. So far I have to keep logging into the app to check if there is any update. It would also be handy to have time stamp on the communication feature as it’s hard to tell when the messages were sent / received. Can you justify why? ### 2/5 — Doesn’t look finished *2021-10-01* You should really hire a proper designer to work on the UI. That just looks like a generic app that has been quickly customised. The logo bar in the pictures view takes a third of an iPhone 5/5S/SE screen. Being able to zoom the pictures or the whole view would be great. However an error is now occurring in the ‘Family Story’ section, whereby unable to access full selection of phone’s photos when attempting to upload. Never had this problem before, suddenly not working. It would also be beneficial if daily kindy photos within ‘Learning’ could be clicked on and zoomed in and saved to phone by clicking on them. ### 1/5 — Slow and horrible *2021-07-08* The old version was a bit better compared to the new one. Overall it needs a lot of work to make it user friendly. Even the photos loading takes ages and you can’t clearly see photos until you download them. ### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work *2021-02-15* The concept of the app is good but it is not user friendly and needs a lot of work. Examples include: - no option to have pop up notifications when a new message comes in from the daycare. Very frustrating you don’t know if you’ve received anything unless you’re constantly refreshing the app. In addition, similarly there are no notifications when new photos are uploaded. - the family story feature is clunky and only allows me to upload 2 photos at a time (even though it says I can choose four, only 2 appear). - the messages inbox stays as having multiple unread messages even though they’ve all been received and read. Eg mine currently says it has 92 unread messages. If I try to open from a notification, it closes and signs me out. When the educators upload something, it doesn’t even turn up in my app, I only get it via email. Amazing App. S M I L E ### 1/5 — Wish my centre used Storypark *2025-01-28* Moving daycares, and going from Storypark to kindy hub is really disappointing. Don’t even get notified when class photos are posted even though on a reverie from a year ago I can see you have said it’s coming soon. Please fix. thank you! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Love kindyhub updates *2017-12-03* Since changing centres we have been so thankful to have kindyhub at the new one, being able to see what the kids get up to is so much easier than flicking through a 'floor book', or portfolio folder that you never see parents looking at. Only thing I would change is that I wish I knew who is seeing messages if I send a message to the childcare centre. From what I assume, all staff that have a kindyhub login will see my message? Needs account settings. ### 4/5 — Love this app! *2018-01-18* I do wish there were a few extras like.. seeing your child’s day at a snapshot - what time their nap has been, what they had to eat/what bottles they’ve had, which caters are in their room for the day. Just basic info available instead of trying to ask and work that out everyday. ### 3/5 — Missing key features *2025-08-19* Like others have mentioned, this app is good for reading daily reports & seeing photos of baby at daycare, but in my opinion is missing two very important features: 1. Notifications - currently there are no notifications from the app when there are new messages to read or photos to view. This means you need to constantly keep refreshing the app to see if there’s any communications, updates or action required from you. 2. Time Stamps - no time stamps are sent with messages. So when getting messages like “your baby has just gone down for a nap” or “has just woken up” you have no idea when that actually was unless you keep checking the app manually every 15 mins or so. These two improvements would make a huge difference to the app experience in a very practical way for most parents, I would imagine. Please consider making them, thanks! ### 3/5 — Unable to save pictures *2021-10-24* Since I have purchased and started using an iPhone 12 this app does not allow me to download and save to photos from the educators to my phone. On my previous phone this was achievable. Why is this happening anf please can you fix asap. There are many great photos I wish to keep. **Developer response:** Hello , thank you for reaching out .
