### 5/5 — Great App, good UI, Free!

*2012-07-26, version 1.27*

I use it for tracking my cycling time and distance, but it also comes with other cool features such as map, gps, graphs, and history. Customizable UI makes it very convenient to use!

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2012-07-23, version 1.27*

Works great!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2012-07-21, version 1.27*

I have a few quibbles, but I'm giving it 5 stars anyway because it works so well. I mostly use it for running, and I love that I can just open it and press "Start" and be on my way, without any lengthy setup.

Dealing with the data afterward is a bit more work, though. I want to send it to Runkeeper, which is technically easy, but neither this app nor Runkeeper has a convenient way to clean up the usually noisy data.

### 5/5 — Brilliant programme

*2012-07-17*

I love this app, god all round programme with great feedback from the Mothership ! Jbx

### 4/5 — My new Favorite!!

*2012-07-12, version 1.26*

OK, I have tried just about ALL of them.. and this is by far the most accurate and easiest displayed one of them all. the "modules" make showing on the screen what's important to you, whither it's the alt, time, distance, speed or like me, the Map.. it's easy to move around and get the info you need right up front

I'd give it a full 5 stars but,.. exporting/saving seems a bit tooo many steps.. and starting a new track is the same... need to click too many time and get too deep into windows to do these things... but other than that....

Really like their web site upload page too.. very well laid out!

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2012-07-08, version 1.26*

This app is simple and very accurate. Gives you quick and accurate data to quantify your output.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2012-06-03, version 1.25*

This app is awesome. I'm going to purchase the full version and I don't even care how many calories I'm burning. I just want to support an amazing development shop and hope they keep coming out with awesome apps. Seriously one of the best apps in the app store.

### 4/5 — Exceptional, one annoying bug

*2012-06-02*

A great app. Fully featured with detailed track history, lots of distance, spped and altitude options, map display, speed & altitude display. Many sharing options, though one I would like is a direct download to a companion Mac (even windows too) app. One annoyance: the very useful spoken lap information periodically goes silent for a few days. Equally mysteriously, it suddenly works again. Otherwise, terrific app. I don't miss my Garmin Forerunner one bit!

### 4/5 — Amazing cabailities

*2012-05-23, version 1.25*

Surprisingly full featured for a free app, collects all the data you could ever want: speeds, times, pace et cetera. Even plots speed and altitude on a graph as well as plots route on google maps. Very easy to use with a pleasing interface. 4 stars because screen must remain on (although locked) during operation which using a little extra battery. One should gps functions in general hog the most battery.

### 5/5 — Great app, and free!

*2012-05-20, version 1.25*

Does everything I want for biking, and I'm happy enough that I'm going to upgrade to the paid version.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2012-05-16, version 1.25*

This app is great. It's free and does almost everything the paid apps do. Give it a try. You will like it. The graphs are sweet also.

### 5/5 — Top App

*2012-04-24*

Great app which give you a history of your performance.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2012-04-01, version 1.25*

I love the accuracy and versatility of this app. It works great with Daily Mile.

### 5/5 — Kinetic

*2012-02-27*

A great app for both recording and tracking where, how far and how it has taken travel from A to B. I am very pleased with it!

### 4/5 — Nice App

*2012-02-19, version 1.25*

Works well for what it is, which is a great logging app for active people who want to track all their activity. I wish it integrated better with fitbit and had easier to configure prompts. I'm not a heavy user and am a novice runner so ymmv.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Great potential

*2020-06-17, version 1.4.4*

I’ve had this app for years. When it works it’s great. Problem is that there are settings on four different places. Miss one and it won’t measure properly.

Modules concept is great but if you add a module after a run because you forgot, the app should be able to calculate all the data after the fact. Instead let’s say half way through a run you realize you forgot the calories counter. If you add it it’ll start counting from that point in the run. Why? You’ve got speed distance and time for the entire run.

Forget the time module for a quick run? No time tracking. What? Time shouldn’t be a module it should be a default.

User interface needs cleaning and auto stop feature needs improvement. Auto stop is very important for me living in Manhattan.

Frustrating because it has good potential.

### 1/5 — One major flaw

*2016-08-24, version 1.4.4*

Functionality is great, and I like being able to edit what modules are in an activity. The problem is that its GPS is wildly inaccurate. Up to 20% long, when compared to other apps (and vehicle odometer).

### 1/5 — Can't open

*2015-11-04, version 1.4.2*

App keeps crashing whenever i try to open it

### 1/5 — No go

*2015-11-01*

Can't open on iPhone 6. Screen reverts to home page.

### 1/5 — :( less than impressed

*2012-02-03*

unless there's something I've missed, this app fails to impress me... First of all it stopped recording my training session numerous times, with no way of going back! This is very frustrating if you're trying to improve your running time and overall performance!

It also seem to have a life of it's own, persisting to record sessions that I have ended, thus making the stats completely useless! I hate it with a passion because of all the frustration it's causing and I am very close to quit using it!!!!!!

### 2/5 — Outstanding, but...

*2011-03-20*

There is less than 20% gps signal in all areas of NSW, as far as I I've tried.

### 3/5 — Great interface, connectivity but buggy

*2011-07-10, version 1.20*

Love the user interface, far better than the many other tracking apps I've tried. Its integration with DailyMile is very welcome and seems to work well. However, the app's auto pause feature is very flakey (auto stops but often doesn't auto start again) and it has had some issues with crashing.

All in all, a very good effort and I'm looking forward to seeing the app's progress as it gets updated.

### 3/5 — Kinetic lite

*2011-01-11*

Couldn't get access to the training plans on the Lite version. Instructions are quite short but their website tells you more (including that aiming plans are available in the lite version).

### 3/5 — Jumpy speed

*2010-11-14*

Great looking and functioning app. It displays and saves lots of useful info and the running plans are spot on ..... but ..... The speed indication is very jumpy, standing still I have seen indications of up to 8kph, and walking at a constant speed it alternates between anything from 2 to 10kph. Fix this problem and it's worth 5 stars easily.

### 4/5 — Needs ability to upload to Strava

*2012-10-08, version 1.27*

Excellent app use it for tracking cycling and hiking. Only feature missing is the ability to upload directly to Strava. That'd earn 5 stars from me.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2014-05-24*

I use Kinetic together with the Nike Running app. It allows me to more effectively control my run data, and share it with a variety of run services. It remains by far the best running app amongst the plethora of ones I've tried in the past few years.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2014-03-24, version 1.30*

I love this app because of great design and very useful features. People who run each day will understand me.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2013-09-25*

Works well

### 5/5 — Totally terrific

*2013-07-10, version 1.29*

This application has. It all!

The layout is intuitive and informative.

The GPS tracking is accurate as is the Heart rate monitor.

Tracking and map displays are excellent.

Oh, and it's easy to set up and use.

I appreciate the "lock" button.

Thanks

### 5/5 — Keeps Me Motivated!!

*2013-06-28, version 1.29*

This Ap keeps me going. I love to top the numbers of miles I walk/run and helps me improve my time.

### 5/5 — Great Product

*2013-05-29, version 1.29*

So far so good!

### 5/5 — Genius!

*2013-05-26*

### 5/5 — wonderful app!

*2013-04-16, version 1.29*

I use it every time I go jogging. Has nice details and works very well. Highly recommend it :)

### 5/5 — Great app.

*2012-12-13, version 1.27*

This app is great for tracking your runs and walks. User interface is as easy or as detailed as you want it to be to provide information. I like that it interfaces with music. Good but.

### 5/5 — Great

*2012-09-12, version 1.27*

I like it a lot. Pace, goals, settable voice prompts, distance , maps and my favorite: ability to share routes and data by emailing, uploading to my log on DailyMile or even to Facebook.
