Anyone know how to change the wifi on the app? I recently changed to a new internet provider. So of course I need to change the wifi and password. But where do I find this ok the app? Searched a lot now on the app and can’t find it. ### 3/5 — App Failures *2025-01-11, version 2.1* App fails to connect to server and error message is not informative. Needs to report whether error is network or server. Need App to report planning service outages. Also would be good if there was a countdown timer for turning receivers off. ### 2/5 — Problem with dimmer settings *2024-03-15, version 2.0* While adjusting the dimmer settings for one of my receivers, I set the minimum brightness to 100%. This caused the device control page to turn blank. I can no longer change dimmer settings and as the factory reset option is only accessible via the now blank page I can’t reset my device to clear the issue. So while these products are generally good, there are clearly some issues with the app. ### 3/5 — Lack of HomeKit integration *2024-01-07, version 1.1.4* Useful app but lacks HomeKit integration which is a smart home essential in my opinion ### 3/5 — App freezes *2023-02-17, version 1.1.4* I’ve got 4 Quinetic controllers. 3 are WIFI versions. The other is a Dual output controller. The App locks up and stops any user input via the Apple iPhone 11 screen. The switches still operate the outputs but the app is frozen. ### 2/5 — Timer settings causes crash *2020-01-13, version 1.0.5* Just like the previous reviewer, the app works fine until you click ‘timer’ (in order to set an automated ‘on’ and ‘off’ schedule) at which point the app instantly crashes. Please can this bug be addressed - it is currently impossible to change the timer settings on anything! ### 2/5 — Crashes all the time *2019-12-21, version 1.0.5* Manual switching lights on and off works fine but adding an action to a scene (ie selecting a light and saying on/off) just crashes the app. Disappointing. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Network Connection Error *2025-01-11, version 2.1* Was working great when one day the app wouldn’t let me control any devices which had previously been working prompting a ‘Network Connection Error’. Deleted the app and reinstalled. When I try to sign in I get the same error code which to me doesn’t make sense that I can’t even load into my account to try and re-pair the device. So I’m blocked out and I can do anything. Please fix this issue. ### 1/5 — not working after wifi switch *2025-01-11, version 2.1* after i switched to a ne router wifi i tried to login again . i kept the same wi fi ssid name for the network but login doesn t work kn the app anymore. tried tonreset all and add again the kinetic switch but each time inget the message: Network connection error,please check internet connection. so is useless the app ### 1/5 — Works well until it doesn’t *2023-12-06, version 1.1.4* Working perfectly well for weeks but today part of their infrastructure has gone down meaning the cloud functions don’t work and the hub has a red light. There is absolutely no support contact details. The link to app support from App Store just goes to Google. There’s no support option in the app. Running diagnostics shows that “Official Web Domain” doesn’t respond to pings so it’s down, which causes everything else to break. ### 1/5 — App locks up *2023-04-02, version 1.1.4* Terrible app. Amusingly when you click the link to take you to the Developer website to report an app pro, a blank Google search page opens. The App itself is useless. At the moment you select the item to operate the app locks up. The app worked for a little while now it just crashes when I try to select my device the app freezes. I have try forcing the app shut abs rebooted my iPhone but nothing works. To make things even more annoying when I press the button in the App Store to contact App developer it just open google homepage. We’ve also given access to other family members without any difficulties. Qualified only by our short acquaintance all is good and pretty simple to set up. Workes miles better. Have all the options of a hive smart lamp and more.
