## What is Kinetriq?

Kinetriq — Movement Intelligence for Fitness Professionals

Stop guessing about form. Kinetriq turns your device into a biomechanics lab — analyzing exercise technique and movement quality from live camera or saved video, entirely on-device.

Kinetriq requires a Kinetriq Pro subscription. New users get a 7-day free trial.

Built for how you actually work

Whether you're coaching in the gym, screening a new client, reviewing homework videos, or creating educational content for social media, Kinetriq gives you objective, repeatable feedback you can show on screen — or export and share.

Exercise form analysis

Point your camera or pick a video from your library. Kinetriq overlays a live skeleton, tracks joint angles, counts reps, and breaks down tempo across four phases (eccentric, pause, concentric, pause).

Supported exercises include: • Squat, Deadlift, Lunge • Hip Hinge (side and back views) • Barbell Row • Lat Pulldown / Chin-Up (side and front views) • Overhead Press • Elbow / Bicep / Tricep curls

Each exercise includes camera setup guidance so you get clean, trackable footage every time.

Movement assessments

Run structured screens with letter grades (A–F) and sub-metric breakdowns: • Shoulder Flexion (front and side views) • Squat Assessment — depth, torso lean, and symmetry • Hip Hinge Assessment — depth and spinal neutrality

Assessments flag left/right asymmetry and use a weakest-link grading model — the same logic clinicians and coaches use when one limitation drives the overall result.

Live or saved video

• Live Camera — real-time overlay, rep counting, and optional recording with analysis baked in • Saved Video — analyze client check-ins, form checks, or content you've already filmed

Export and share

Generate an analyzed video with skeleton overlay, angles, and metrics — ready to send to clients or drop into your next Reel, TikTok, or YouTube tutorial.

Private by design

All pose detection and analysis runs locally on your device. Your videos and client footage never leave your device. No ads.

Who it's for

• Personal trainers — objective form feedback during sessions or async client review • Physical therapists & movement specialists — quick ROM and movement screens with graded sub-metrics • Strength coaches — rep counts, tempo breakdowns, and angle data across major lifts • Fitness creators & educators — professional overlay visuals for educational content, without expensive motion-capture gear

### 5/5 — Well designed

*2026-08-18*

App does a good job of keeping track of all your movements, and though I mostly use it for proper squats, I can see plenty of other applications for the app.

### 5/5 — Helping my clients

*2026-08-10*

As a trainer, I am frequently using video playback to show my clients areas that can improve their movements. Using Kinetriq makes it so much easier to analyze video and show the clients more precise data. This also helps me appear more professional in the feedback I’m giving them.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.5.6 — 2026-09-09

3.5.6
- better thresholds for Lunge Exercise analysis
- corrected "Live Analysis" delay

### 3.5.4 — 2026-08-28

- Sign in with Apple now completes reliably after your account is created.
- Rows count reps through a full hang-to-squeeze.

### 3.5.3 — 2026-08-18

Form scoring is more precise and fairer on hard sets, and alignment guides no longer flicker.

• Depth consistency now uses finer ROM bands (100 / 90 / 80 / 70 / 50 / 40 / 30 / 20) instead of large 20-point drops.
• A concentric that slows at the end of a set no longer lowers the score, that’s fatigue. Coaching will note that it was a challenging set.
• Eccentrics of 1 second or faster do lower the score, with a note that those reps lack control.
• Custom overlays (center foot, lower leg, forearm, back) stay planted and smooth instead of snapping when pose tracking flickers.

### 3.5.1 — 2026-08-10

bug fixes

### 3.5.0 — 2026-08-01

No release notes.
