Great sounds, intuitive layout, great FX, and easy to integrate into larger setups. When I started I had cubasis and an IAA connection to SynthOne. Always used it. I’m using FL Studio these days primarily but have a way with the MIDI Out plug-in to access all my original AudioKit sound modules at once. I always end up with 2-3 sounds from them in my final mix. Just like I do with Roland Zenbeats sounds - You Just gotta have ‘em. Take them seriously. They are as good as anything out there and I’m using piles of up to date synths and sample libraries. Just downloaded the King-D update. Oh my. It’s a good time to be a musician with all the free and great stuff for $9 or less. I still can’t believe how good my studio is. Mind blowing. I spent many hours selecting priests to add to my favorites list only to have the app crash EVERY single time I scroll down the list. Apparently I have ‘too many’ presets (over 400 of the 900 offered)! As mentioned, the quality of the sounds is fantastic but when I can’t use my favorites list things quickly get frustrating. I would gladly give this app a five star rating if this issue was fixed in an update. ### 3/5 — Where is the arpeggiator? *2023-11-16, version 1.0* Sounds great and all my D1 presets are here, but lacks the arpeggiator. Yes there is a sequencer but it’s not as immediate as an arpeggiator and takes away from the flow of creativity. Seq could also have some presets or random generator and a way to save my pattern. I don’t want to have to build a new pattern every time. Sticking with my D1 for now, this does not replace it. ### 3/5 — Quality vs quantity *2023-11-13* I like the sounds that come out of your synth apps, but a lot of them are just up cycled versions of the last one that came out. I downloaded the FM synth app and it crashes constantly. Then another one came out, I spent the 3.99 on that one, same app, different variation. When I listen with headphones closely there is crackling for most of the modules, at the highest bit rate, and it isn’t like I don’t have other apps, including the synths in Garage Band that don’t crash out or crackle. I want to give audiokit its due, because the reverb plugin is fantastic and the original Synth One is great, and King of FM is nice, but it does seem like the newer versions are betas for something else, and I buy them but delete right away. Just really wish you guys would really go through these apps with due diligence to make sure they are not crashing or crackling. Take the kodo for example. I know it came from a Yamaha PSR series keyboard, and I love it! we need more of that in our lives. and those samples are not within the sound presets, no. They’re within the oscillators themselves, under the sound banks. now this may be a strange suggestion, but this app should let people from the community add custom sound banks.
