The presets are quite impressive, a lot better than what I can create, the added user input is good too for the more creative individuals. My only gripe is that in my GarageBand projects the synths don’t always load at first it seems to take multiple starts to get the thing going. Maybe it’s too much for GarageBand, am I overloading it maybe? I’d love some feedback. The first is the older synth by Brian Funk and an update caused me to lose an entire album of music I had made. I just purchased this synth as a replacement to hopefully recreate that lost music and the synth disables itself as I export songs. This is twice now that my hard work is being lost. This is TWICE NOW that I have paid for absolute garbage. I want my money back, I don’t care how. This is absolute nonsense. ### 1/5 — Crashes *2025-05-04* This is the first iPad app I have installed and I was so excited. Sadly after working once, it now just shows the splash screen then crashes immediately. ### 2/5 — Misleading advertising *2025-04-25* I can’t help but feel mislead by all the advertising descriptions of the app, specifically claims that the app has been redesigned from ground up, statements about all the thousands of samples and new patches. The reality is the app feels 90% the same as the original one, has 315 patches TOTAL (117 of which are from the old app), made out of combinations of 164 samples which can be loaded to the two slots (to be fair these are claimed to be multisampled so that’s more) - neither is clearly stated in the app description. **Developer response:** Hey, thanks so much for trying out the app! We hear you, and if it feels familiar, that's because we kept the heart & soul of what everyone loved. But there's a ton of new magic packed in too! You mentioned it feels like only 10% new? Let's break it down with a smile. By your own math, there's 117 patches similar plus nearly 200 fresh ones. That's like a 200% boost! More free patches are coming too. We've also added a brand new sequencer, multiple LFOs, and premium packs like the upcoming Wabi Sabi Waves pack (currently sold separately for iOS for more than the cost of this entire app). Those used to cost more than the app itself, but now they're included free. And, yes, there are over 3,000+ total samples in the app. The samples in this app alone sell for over $60 for the desktop version, and you're getting them all for under $4. Each one of 3,000+ samples that make up over 160 multi-sampled instruments (some of these could be their own app) were recorded to VHS tape, resampled, edited, processed, tested, re-recorded, played and fine-tuned over the course of hundreds of hours.
