## What is King?

Play King offline against computer opponents at a table for three or four.
A round is made of deals: in the negative contracts you avoid penalty
cards and tricks, and in the positive ones you set out to win them.

New in 1.3 — King Club: 28 trials in four chapters, all open from the
start. Each trial is one prepared deal with its goal stated up front:
take no hearts, take at most one trick, finish above a given score. Each
trial also has a separate mastery objective. Your goal and mastery are
recorded independently, and one does not imply the other. Replay a trial
as often as you like, walk through it trick by trick, and send one to a
friend — the deal is what travels, not your result.

Also in the game:
• Daily Deal — the same deal for everyone, a new one each day.
• 13 lessons that teach the rules on a real deal instead of a wall of
text. Lessons and trials are separate, and progress is tracked apart.
• Deal review: every trick in order, who took it and what it cost.
• Statistics by contract and by round.
• Table size and house rules, among them three modes for the boys:
jacks, kings, or all eight of those cards.

The game works fully offline. The daily leaderboard is optional: it uses
Game Center and needs an internet connection. Everything else works the
same without it.

Sending a trial to a friend is a text message with the deal's code, passed
through the system share sheet. There is no networked multiplayer.

The progress backup is text as well: you save it wherever you like and
paste it back yourself. There is no cloud sync and no account.

No ads, no purchases, no subscriptions.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-09-24

King Club — the first season of trials.

28 prepared deals across four chapters, seven in each, all open from the
start. Every trial states its goal and has a separate optional mastery
objective; the two are recorded independently. Replay a trial, walk
through it trick by trick, and send one to a friend — the deal is what
travels, not your result.

Also in this version:
• Three modes for the boys — jacks, kings, or all eight of those cards.
• A manual progress backup: saved as text, restored by pasting it back.
No network, no cloud.
• Haptic feedback on a move of yours the game accepts, and on an attempt
where you earn the goal or mastery.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-06

Review every completed deal: see the starting hands, kitty and discard, every trick, its winner and points.

We also improved game results and statistics, added result sharing, fixed tricks being lost or counted twice after returning from the menu, and improved AirPods audio behavior.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-30

• Classic 480-point scoring: six −40 games, Salad −240, Anti-Salad +240, and three +80 trump games
• Every new party now has exactly 11 games; unfinished legacy parties keep their original rules
• A separate Rules screen is now available from the main menu
• By default, “boys” includes jacks and kings, and cards are played with one tap
• Daily Deal adds a shared deal, kitty, trump choice, streaks, and 30-day history
• Optional daily Game Center leaderboard
• Legacy and classic-480 statistics are displayed separately
• Lessons no longer affect a saved real party
• Improved save reliability and small-iPhone layouts

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-20

Fixed a bug in three-player games where the player choosing the contract could end up two cards short. Added natural opponent names for each language and corrected several interface texts.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-18

No release notes.
