My recent experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, highlighting their dishonest business practices and complete disregard for customer satisfaction. I booked a truck well in advance, securing a rate of approximately $1,167. All seemed well until the company canceled my reservation. A customer service representative named Gonzalo assured me via email that they would have more vans available at the beginning of August and promised that my replacement vehicle would be at the same standard rate. However, August arrived, and I heard nothing from them until several days into the month. When they finally did reach out, the vans they offered were nearly double the original cost. This bait-and-switch tactic left me outraged. When I contacted customer service to ask why they had reneged on their promise, I was met with a dismissive response, claiming there was nothing they could do and citing "peak pricing" as the justification. This blatant disregard for their commitments and the subsequent price gouging is the most frustrating and dishonest thing I’ve encountered from a company. Fluid Trucks not only failed to deliver on their promise but also displayed a shocking lack of accountability and transparency. In conclusion, beware of Fluid Trucks. Their dishonest practices and poor customer service make them an unreliable choice. Save yourself the frustration and find a more trustworthy company for your rental needs. Thanks ### 4/5 — Airbnb for vans *2023-11-28, version 1.71.1* The first time I tried using fluid truck the van was nowhere to be found and I couldn’t contact the seller. Fluid truck also had no idea what to do about the situation. At least I did get a refund but it was a waste of time. The second time was completely different, straightforward easy the van was in an obvious spot, and in good condition. So this is a bit like Airbnb – it’s driven by whether or not the owner is smart and conscientious. If I had read the reviews on the first one, I would’ve seen a review, or someone else had a similar experience - so read the reviews for a location before renting! ### 1/5 — Lack of flexibility in reservation extension *2023-09-16, version 1.68.3* Beware: Fluid Truck will absolutely charge you more than the daily rate if you choose to extend your rental. I originally booked for a couple of hours, then extended an hour because I was worried about being late on the return. I was charged for 3 hours. No problem, right? Well, it turned out I needed to keep the truck overnight, so I extended again to return it in the morning, and instead of just charging me the rest of the balance needed to get to the daily rate, they charged me a full days rate on top of what I’d already paid, even though it was the same reservation. So for a 12 hour reservation and insurance, I paid over $180. The same reservation at U-Haul would have been less than $50 even with mileage, and they have similar self service after hours rentals now. I won’t be renting from Fluid Truck again. ### 4/5 — Highly recommended *2023-09-06, version 1.68.3* Fluid Truck has been a very important part of our business. It’s an excellent way to get your customers and employees served with a great dependable vehicle. Although all things need maintenance and repairs. Fluids technicians are always there to help assist with any issues that arise. I’ve had my situations with timely repairs and billing issues both my fault and theirs but customer service has never left me hanging. I tried to book from one of their 10 available trucks online, when I called in to confirm the order they said there were no trucks available, and they took all of the trucks off the website. What a waste of time. I had to turn it in several days early because a check engine light came on and Fluid told me it was unsafe to drive. They told me to swap it for a new truck at no additional charge. They also promised to refund the fee for the first truck because of the inconvenience. I picked up the new truck and completed my move. However, Fluid charged me for a entire week for the first truck they required me to turn in, and also charged me for the second truck that was supposed to replace their first truck. In essence they double charged me. They did not live up to their word even after multiple contacts via phone and chat. They said it could take out to 10 days for the refund. So they gave my license info, address and a utility bill. KingB currently shows zero vehicles in the Denver Metro. *2025-05-28, version 2.0.1* The app seems non-functional. It won’t accept my location, but moves me to California it across town, depending on how I put it in. There are no vehicles of any kind available in the region according to the app. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-05-20, version 2.0.1* I tried this app many times and for whatever reason I can’t get past the maps. It lets me choose a van then says server error and goes white. Every time. ### 1/5 — They’re the blue lives matter type *2024-11-22, version 1.79.0* They hand all your info over to the police. No probable cause or warrant needed. Showed proof of damage and communicated at time of pick up. Received a claim, disputed. They sent an email telling me I was correct, no further action. 4 months later billed me for damages. Business must be down, scamming for payments. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste you time using Fluid truck *2024-07-17, version 1.77.1* I run a flower business and do a lot of wedding and thought using fluid would be a good deal. Until it wasn’t. I picked up a truck and came back to pick up the flower arrangements. Loaded the truck and then the truck wouldn’t start. On the phone for 30 minutes and no solution but they could send someone out to look but that could be a few hours. I literally have a whole wedding in the back of the truck and I’m now running late. Finally we are able to get the truck started and we head out to the wedding. Stop and unload in front of the venue and guess what, truck doesn’t start again. Had to leave it where it was and ended up getting a ticket. Used a friends truck for the day to get other wedding necessities during the day. Finally got the truck started and moved. But shocker, come the end of the wedding the truck wouldn’t start again! They have no sympathy and refused to refund anything even though I had to compensate the wedding client and pay a parking ticket on top of gas for two trucks. They gave me a credit to use at a later date but anytime I try to rent again there’s nothing available. I’m assuming Amazon has them all rented. They also billed me for a toll even though I paid via a toll pass and have the receipt. The credit is useless and they won’t refund me instead. I’ll never use them again. Shady company and impossible to get any good customer service. Stick to Uhaul or Penske. It’s not worth the headache. ### 1/5 — Always rented out by fed ex *2024-06-07, version 1.77.0* Impossible to rent them. Fed ex keeps them all, at every location. The one time I found one available, the key was not in it. The fed ex drivers keep the keys. Had to go through a lengthy process to get refunded. Guessing it’s because my drivers license address and mailing address are different but they won’t give me a chance to fix it or anything. Kind of shady. Unlike most rental services, they showed no flexibility or understanding for a simple booking error or minor drop off inspection policy misunderstandings. They refused to adjust the return time, forcing us into a situation where we had to pay double the amount for the final day. Despite any technological strengths, their failure to foster trust and accommodate basic customer needs overshadows any positive aspects of their service. ### 1/5 — Trash company *2023-10-09, version 1.69.1* They cancelled my reservation in the middle of an order when I wasn’t prior notified and left me stranded unless I made a new one. A fluid employee Ethan Applebee came to my house very suspiciously and never mentioned anything about the van being turned off. I spent thousands of dollars yet they wouldn’t even allow me to get home. Don’t rent from this company they will scam you every time. Now they even doubled their rental Prices. What a joke. Penske or Ryder are your better options. Even Enterprise has the best option. And no I wasn’t mistaken this person actually came to my house I have 3 witness to the fact. Even accessed the vehicle from his phone. I’m guessing he wasn’t expecting me to be home. Thanks for nothing fluid truck.
